This whole concept of tabletop games while being a cafe is a genius idea. My partner, his cousin, and I stumbled upon this cafe as we needed a place where we can work and we are so glad that we got to go here! Food/Drink: We came here towards the end of May and they had a Fruit Salad Hojicha, BBQ Ribs Latte, & a Baja Blast Matcha tonic on their menus. Of course we all thought those were interesting! What was fascinating is that they had the hojicha + latte on tap and they rotate every month. I got a sample of both and we were all surprised with how amazing their drinks are!! The Fruit Salad Hojicha had a fruit hojicha latte base and they topped it off with some kind of fruit cold foam. I personally am not that much of a hojicha drinker, but it was insane how quickly this drink turned me into one! I legit went back 2 days later with a different group of friends because of how good the drink was! The drink was not too sweet and I really enjoyed the balance of hojicha and fruit. One did not overpower the other and I was amazed. Service: Amazing! I was torn on what drink on tap to get and the lady up front offered samples to me and my party. I am so grateful she did because I was so close to not even purchasing a drink as I was so hesitant, but the Fruit Salad Hojicha definitely locked me in! First time here (as of 2 weeks ago) Ambiance was 10/10. Service was 9.5/10 Friendly and just right. The cashier was friendly and attentive. after we ordered the 2nd time. The 2nd service was a 7/10. It was ok. He didn't really know the rost of the beans. Couldve been a miscommunication from the team. But somewhat helpful and playful. ( i like that) I got an iced americano. My partner got an iced latte. Coffee was a 7/10. Ice plays a big roll in my drink & sadly the ice was needed in this case. (Personal pefrence) the only think I would like have to know before driving 3 hours away was the parking dilemma it was a hassle to find parking. I enjoyed the visit despite of the parking. The line for the restroom was a bit of a wait. Despite of the negatives here I would gladly come back and perfect my drink. Kudos to the team for keeping it real. Came here after dropping my car off at the local mechanic. The vibe is eclectic and a great space for remote work. They have creative drinks available. The only downside is that parking is really limited. My wife and I got a cold brew and the Miami matcha. I thought cold brew was decent and thr miami matcha tasted balanced. Would definitely come back to try the other drinks on the menu. They also have pastries from Tropical Cafe (silver lake), which is nice! I would recommend giving this spot a try. read more

It's located next to Verdugo exit by the 2 highway on Eagle Rock blvd. Indoor layout is very spacious with high wooden ceiling and plenty of natural light. They have comfy lounge sofa and wooden bench seats large tables perfect for game cards. I perused their succinct menu and had a hot Latte w/ half n half. It was glorious! Besides coffee & pastries they sell other stuff like decanter, scented candles, bean bags, etc. The homey vibe, cool staff and rustic decor of this coffee shop is perfect for hangout with friends or do some work. Moreover, staff were really chill and competent. Prices are competitive. Condiment section is neatly organized. They have bathroom available. The place is spacious, offering multiple seating areas to accommodate many guests. There is also a section where they have games, candles, and other cool stuff for sale. I noticed this place when my nephew and I were leaving Revenge Of and came back a few days later to check it out. On the day of my visit, Mikey was behind the counter. She was friendly, warm, & welcoming. The specialty drinks are creative with interesting ingredients like Moon Pie & Flaming Hot Cheetos. They also have traditional beverages in addition to freshly baked pastries from Café Tropical. Advertised as a blueberry muffin in a cup, I decided to give The Muff a try - a latte with house-made blueberry-cardamon syrup. Overall, the beverage was good. I really couldn't taste the blueberry, and it probably could have used an extra half shot of espresso. If I'm in the area I'd come back and give something else a try. I love that this is such a nerd/gamer friendly place but I was a little disappointed in the actual coffee. The interior is really nice and clean and has lots of space and people were really making use of all the extra space to play their various games be it tabletop rpg or card games or just mingling and chatting about their favorite things and I love that. However I bought a few different specialty drinks and unfortunately couldn't tell which was which as they all tasted just like the same basic coffee. I do appreciate the non dairy milks on the menu and the atmosphere but unfortunately as a primarily coffee serving business I would have expected better in that department. They have a small variety of pastries. The blueberry muffin was very tasty. I tried one of their seasonal drinks on my first visit. A cornbread matcha latte! Like whatttt?! It sounds weird but it was really good! Drinks are a little pricey though. Matchas are the most expensive thing on the menu, so be prepared. There are some smaller tables and then long tables with backed stools where you can play board games and DnD. There's also a cute lounge area in the front with a couch. There are three big booths and two big communal tables as well as the lounge. We sat at the bar which has 4-5 seats and outlets abound for anyone who wants to get some computer work done. Working in coffee, it can be a challenge to find a third space that doesn't feel like my workplace. And Destroy does a lot incredibly well. Their espresso is delicious, their service is exceptional, and the space itself is tidy and comfortable; however, what I like best about it is the way it's effortlessly a community space. Many of their tables are long community tables and some big booths and on a weekend you'll find people reading, working on laptops, groups of people chatting, playing tabletop games, sitting with old friends and making new ones. Popped in on a Sunday evening to kill time before dinner. It's a nice space, but not super big! Drinks were good, my friends and I just got some tea and the hojicha latte (quite good!). They have games there and I believe you can also bring some yourself. Only thing is that I saw signs that require a purchase every X hours if you're staying on certain days which I get that they need to sell goods to keep their business going, it just turned me off a bit which is totally a personal preference. Still a great spot but it's very hard to actually game here. People spread out on their laptops and leave no room for a 4 player game group to sit down. It's awesome that the tables have so much power availability but as a result people aren't using the tables for gaming. This could be an amazing spot for gaming if reserving a table was an option. read more

I love a space that genuinely cares about their customers' comfort. This coffee shop is warm, inviting, and has a lot of sectioned seating so you don't feel exposed or surveilled. The tables are seemingly meant for you to bring your friends and play an elaborate board game but I don't think anyone would mind if you took a spot to do homework or anything. I'm gonna be honest, I don't remember if my drink was an apple or pear latte, but either way it was DELICIOUS. The milk was steamed to perfection and the flavor's essence was subtle rather than in your face. The espresso itself was kinda citrus-y which went extremely well with the fruit flavor. The baristas were super friendly and one of them even smiled at me and asked how I was doing while she passed by me doing a lobby check. I saw on their website that they host D&D nights and other events so if you're into that this is totally the place for you! I believe in the product being the focal point of a business, so for this place to blow me away with its design left me greatly impressed. Again, I seriously love it when a space goes all out. When asking a simple yes/no question about the menu, I was met with extreme attitude and told to 'go down the street.' The fruity drink I ordered was just water and ice--not worth the price. As I explained to the barista that it was just water and ice, and ordered another drink, I did not ask for discount or free stuff, they got offended.
