Only posting this because this location is a hindrance on the overall La La Land brand. The management / operations of this location are seriously lacking. I went in on Sunday morning at around 11 am - a peak busy time you'd think they'd be staffed and ready for. The restroom had no toilet paper and no soap (which I informed them of), because gross. The guy who was managing the toaster oven, warming up croissants & such was not wearing gloves and continued touching his hair while managing the food. I waited 20 minutes for an avocado toast and when I asked for it, it was just sitting in the back. Finally, they were out of forks and knives! Just overall operational management.. bad. What sets them apart is their wider variety of matcha drinks and the option to add CBD for an extra $2.50. Obsessed with this place! On a week long business trip, we visited this cafe (this location and 1 other) 4 times. The avocado toast is so flavorful with the right amount of spice. I also ordered the lavender drink which was delicious. The customer service was great and the aesthetics of the cafe was clean cut! I first went here their grand opening weekend and it was beyond crazy, long lines that wrapped around the building. I am not a coffee person so I left and returned about two weeks later and I'm glad I did. The inside is so beautiful with the big chandelier and warm tone of white and yellow. I ordered the upside down iced and the regular avocado toast and omg. Again i do not like the taste of coffee but this place is the reason why I've changed my mind because that latte was so good. I recommend it to anyone who goes there and never heard any complaints about it. The avocado toast was amazing as well and I like the chili flakes twist they put on it. Unfortunately the chai latte which is my go to everywhere didn't live up to my expectations. It was lacking the spice aspect of a chai. I did try the lulu chai latte and that was slightly better but not exactly I know a chai to be. Additionally they have an outside area that is great for hanging out or working. read more

This bright droplet of sunshine of a cafe on Preston Rd isn't a hidden gem anymore; it's fairly busy now, but for good reason--their service and drinks were great! My friend and I got matcha lattes, me the cookies and dream with oat milk ($6.20 + $0.85 nondairy milk surcharge) and her the matcha squared latte ($7.50). After a short wait of only a minute or two to order, the drinks were ready in minutes, despite it being busy. My drink was sweet but not excessively, and as someone who loves both matcha and Oreos, the combination of flavors was actually pretty good! There's plenty of indoor and outdoor seating mostly in the shade depending on the day, but when we went on a weekday midday, there was only outdoor seating. read more

this visit i tried the matcha with strawberry foam topper and the M.A.K.A toast . i don't usually get food at cafes, but this was a great snack for a busy morning. my matcha was great, the strawberry foam tasted like real strawberry and while the matcha flavor could have been stronger, it's an easy customization. the wait time is a little on the longer side, but they keep it moving with someone calling out orders and putting pickup orders to the side. i wouldn't recommend this spot to study/work at since every time i go the seats are filled and it gets pretty noisy. but a great option for sweet drinks! read more

I would not expect to come here expecting a seat after their grand opening. Perhaps they aren't done with the furniture in the space. The gal who took my order was SO nice. As in, the nicest, most complimentary person, and I heard her do it for everyone. The line was long and didn't move fast, but I personally appreciated the chit chat and her kindness. I love this place and it's one of the food spots I look forward to when I visit my dear friends in Plano. Their style, colors are simple but really pop visually. Their menu is diverse with varying drinks and some light food items. Their service has always been helpful and friendly. During my most recent trip last month, I ordered their lavender bloom latte, which had a nice aroma and flavor of lavender but it wasn't overpowering or too sweet(at least for me). I had a small bite of their Butter Croissant and that was also fresh, fluffy and moist. I'm going to bring you back to their style. It is so visually pleasing with lots of light and simplicity. Watch out, you'll be hit with the Gen Z stare. This location doesn't have the same welcoming energy and vibe as others . It also needs a major deep clean, dirty floors, walls and seats. If you order anything other than what's on the menu they'll likely mess up your order. For example, 2 shots of espresso over ice was an impossible task. read more

This place is cute but the lines do get very long and there is always quite a wait. Drinks are good but can be very very sweet- so make sure to explain before hand if you need any modifications. We went there for the first time yesterday, and I gotta say that the drinks are really good. The price is fair. The service is great and the café is very cute on the inside. It was very packed, but we still got our drink at a decent time. I noticed a lot of people were coming in to grab their drinks and go, so maybe doing a mobile order is better there really isn't a lot of sitting room on the inside. Drinks are consistently good and not too sweet. When there is a rush then a wait is to be expected, but 45 min is a bit extreme. The management at the Plano location is extremely lacking and makes a normal rush into a packed store. If there are 5 employees working behind the counter, drinks should be coming out faster than 1 every 3-5 min or longer. Instead they spend the time debating with each other about who is going to do the work. I would rather them be goofing off if I'm going to be waiting that long so at least there's an actual reason. A decent manager would easily fix this problem, so maybe they had the day off or something. read more

My sister was raving about this place and I could not wait to try it! I was eye-ing their avocado toasts and so had to try one. I opted for the burrata with chili pepper flakes and it was incredible. Super filling but so flavorful. I chose the lavender bloom matcha latte on the side and it was delicious! Their drinks come with the cutest yellow accents and they're so picture-worthy! The store itself feels like a designer boutique. I just wanted to set-up my laptop and work from there. It's such an inviting space and even for a Friday morning, it was jammed! What a beautiful café My favorite colors are white & yellow/gold, so this branding instantly makes me so happy! I enjoyed the French Toast Matcha Latte (hot) with the Cookie Croissant. The drink was so so enjoyable, I loved it! My snack was also yummy, but wow it's kinda big (and a bit messy). My bf ordered the Milk + Honey Espresso Latte that he also enjoyed. His Ham + Cheese Croissant was a nice pastry. Although the toasts look very appetizing, I do believe $9 is pretty steep. Being a Californian visiting Texas, I was pretty surprised at this price, since I got used to Texas prices for everything else. Even in CA, I probably would feel the same. But, I don't count this in my rating, since I didn't order it. Overall, I really appreciate the beautiful aesthetic, unique flavors, and cozy atmosphere. The merch selection has some very cool pieces that I could see myself buying, but they weren't available. Glad to know there's locations when I'm back in CA, but wish they weren't always stacked up in LA... there's so many other beautiful spots that this place would fit well (if you're an owner who needs scouting just lmk). read more
