A quick and delicious spot. I got the lobster bowl and he got the lobster roll and we both got extra protein! It was delicious tho I'm more of a shrimp girly but I won't penalize them for that. Everything was delicious and fresh but i wish it was a little bit more bold flavors. It's almost on the beach and it almost feels like you are a caffe but again quick and filling. Getting a lobster roll was a must on our trip to Cape May - I had never had one before, and this was the place to break that streak! We found La La Lobster through Yelp and Google Reviews, and given its proximity and great reviews, we gave it a try. It's located right off the beach in a little strip with a few other stores / restaurants. They have a fairly small sign, so you might miss it if you didn't know it was there! There are a few tables / chairs to sit in right by the storefront, but also ample seating around the bend of the small shopping strip. We stopped by for a late lunch on a Sunday afternoon, and we were pleased to find no line. The menu actually has a lot of options, which I wasn't expecting for a lobster roll spot, but nice to have the variety. I was intrigued by their various lobster preparations, and I wasn't anticipating having options for "sauces". Not being a huge fan of mayo, I went for the mango prep of my roll, and it was so delicious! It really brought out the freshness of the lobster, and it was nice to have a sweet pairing that still seasonal and had a hint of spice to it with the peppers. The lobster itself was nicely cooked, and it was all enclosed in a heavily buttered (appropriately so) roll. I was definitely impressed with it, and it was a great first experience! My husband got the spicy take on the lobster roll, which he also enjoyed! Of course, prices are steep for lobster, but I felt it was a fair deal for the amount of meat on our roll, the unique sauces, and the accompanying chips. La La Lobster was a great intro to lobster roll for me, and it was a great late lunch / early dinner! I loved that you could choose the style for your lobster (classic butter & lemon, salad, spicy aioli). My daughter chose classic and I chose salad. They were so good! I've had a number of lobster rolls along the Eastern Seaboard, and these were solid contenders. Lots of meat, lots of flavor. The lobster fries were super yum. I def recommend. A large is too big for two people though The only thing I wasn't wild about (hence 1 less star) was the clam chowder. It was just kind of meh. Not bad, but not good. Would skip this place altogether- lobster rolls tasted like they were previously frozen (super salty) and while not a surprise they came out to be $22 each for what amounted to be a 6-7 inch roll. Save your money and go to some of the other places nearby. Wanted to stop in and support this business on the day of their grand opening. It's in a great location right on the beach. When dining-in is permitted they have a couple window bar seats looking outside. They also have seating outdoors with a walk-up window to order. Ordered a cup of Lobster Bisque. There was a nice big piece of lobster in it! Yum! They are going to give The Lobster House some competition! They also offer lobster rolls, salad, lobster Mac & cheese, shrimp options and more! Was able to snag a free t-shirt since it was their grand opening. Was super excited because my nickname is Lala and now I have a cute shirt that says LaLa Lobster! Excellent is the first word! We had the CT version (look it up). Oh my..... comparing to another very poplar location in CM La La over road that one. (Not that the competitors was bad by any means). Person working (possibly the owner) was so accommodating. We were eating our way thru CM (girls wknd). Side Note: must try CM Grilled Cheese Sandwiches in the Acme plaza. (Next review). Also, the pickle that came with was tasty and fresh, not like some pickles that clearly do not taste fresh and have a weird taste to them.
