I was a bit nervous ordering lobster rolls in Cape May but La La Lobster blew our expectations out of the water! (And we ordered DoorDash, no less!) Our Airbnb was about 20 min away, so we got some wine and had the rolls (with extra lobster) delivered. They were DELICIOUS and sooo full! The perfect evening on the cape!
Overall, a very average lobster roll. The photo is of the classic lobster roll. The other reviews on here are definitely overhyping this place. Slightly overbuttered. Not much else flavor going on. Cost ($24) is reasonable given that I've paid $30-$50 in the past for a roll. Right next to the beach which is nice.
We wanted a Lobster roll so we tried this Cape May favorite. I'm glad we did as our sandwiches were very tasty. The prices were fair and the staff was very friendly. There is plenty of paid street parking which is normal in this area. Tons of metal chairs and tables (the chairs were a bit uncomfortable). I will definitely be back soon!
A quick and delicious spot. I got the lobster bowl and he got the lobster roll and we both got extra protein! It was delicious tho I'm more of a shrimp girly but I won't penalize them for that. Everything was delicious and fresh but i wish it was a little bit more bold flavors. It's almost on the beach and it almost feels like you are a caffe but again quick and filling. Check it out when you can!

A really perfect day topped off with a delicious lobster roll! The lobster meat was fresh and not overdressed with mayo like other places serve them. The roll was buttery and the pickle was a nice crunchy addition. Service was friendly and the order was ready within 10 minutes of ordering. There is seating outside and limited seating inside. Ambiance was great as we were right by the waters and the beach! Would highly recommend this place to any lobster lover!
This was my 1st lobster roll and it tasted amazing. The only reason it is gettin 4 stars is because I wish the portions were bigger . I ate it and still wanted more . That in itself is a good indicator that the roll was delicious. For beach goers, this is the perfect spot for quick lunch before you head to the beach or a nice roll to take with you on your drive home. I loved the mixture of Mayo and celery. It paired well with the juicy lobster. The customer service was good and the employees were helpful in answering all my questions and even recommended this roll as one of the favorites!

It's definitely a casual restaurant with outstanding quality food, and super fast service. We loved the first round of lobster rolls, so we went for seconds. My teenage kids were so happy to find authentic Jersey Shore Lobster Rolls. We will definitely return the next time we are in Cape May. Bonus Tip - Pay a few dollars extra for 50% more lobster. We tried the #1 with butter and #2 with salad / celery, both were excellent, but out favorite was the "salad" Lobster Roll.

We found La La Lobster through Yelp and Google Reviews, and given its proximity and great reviews, we gave it a try. It's located right off the beach in a little strip with a few other stores / restaurants. They have a fairly small sign, so you might miss it if you didn't know it was there! There are a few tables / chairs to sit in right by the storefront, but also ample seating around the bend of the small shopping strip. We stopped by for a late lunch on a Sunday afternoon, and we were pleased to find no line. The menu actually has a lot of options, which I wasn't expecting for a lobster roll spot, but nice to have the variety. I was intrigued by their various lobster preparations, and I wasn't anticipating having options for "sauces". Not being a huge fan of mayo, I went for the mango prep of my roll, and it was so delicious! It really brought out the freshness of the lobster, and it was nice to have a sweet pairing that still seasonal and had a hint of spice to it with the peppers. The lobster itself was nicely cooked, and it was all enclosed in a heavily buttered (appropriately so) roll. I was definitely impressed with it, and it was a great first experience! My husband got the spicy take on the lobster roll, which he also enjoyed! Of course, prices are steep for lobster, but I felt it was a fair deal for the amount of meat on our roll, the unique sauces, and the accompanying chips. La La Lobster was a great intro to lobster roll for me, and it was a great late lunch / early dinner! Would definitely recommend La La Lobster for anyone looking for a quick, quality, summery meal!

Very overpriced place with terrible seating. It's not a nice place to sit down and eat. More like a quick food stop. I'm a lover of Mac n cheese and unfortunately was disappointed in the lobster Mac n cheese. Cokes were in the fridge but still weren't even ice cold. Do not recommend. read more

My daughter and I took the ferry to Cape May for the first time. We scoured yelp and google for places to go and decided on La La Lobster. I loved that you could choose the style for your lobster (classic butter & lemon, salad, spicy aioli). My daughter chose classic and I chose salad. They were so good! I've had a number of lobster rolls along the Eastern Seaboard, and these were solid contenders. Lots of meat, lots of flavor. The lobster fries were super yum. I def recommend. A large is too big for two people though The only thing I wasn't wild about (hence 1 less star) was the clam chowder. It was just kind of meh. Not bad, but not good. I only ate 5 or so bites and then threw the rest away. We will be coming back next year though! read more

Wanted to stop in and support this business on the day of their grand opening. It's in a great location right on the beach. When dining-in is permitted they have a couple window bar seats looking outside. They also have seating outdoors with a walk-up window to order. Ordered a cup of Lobster Bisque. There was a nice big piece of lobster in it! Yum! They are going to give The Lobster House some competition! They also offer lobster rolls, salad, lobster Mac & cheese, shrimp options and more! Was able to snag a free t-shirt since it was their grand opening. Was super excited because my nickname is Lala and now I have a cute shirt that says LaLa Lobster! Wishing them the best of luck this beach season. I think it's gonna be a hit for those on and off the beach looking for some good lobsta! Can't wait to go back! Next time I'll take more pics! read more

Excellent is the first word! We had the CT version (look it up). Oh my..... comparing to another very poplar location in CM La La over road that one. (Not that the competitors was bad by any means). Person working (possibly the owner) was so accommodating. We were eating our way thru CM (girls wknd). Side Note: must try CM Grilled Cheese Sandwiches in the Acme plaza. (Next review). We ask for the lobster roll to be cut into four pieces so all of us could sample it. He not only did that but gave us each our own lemon wedge and pickle piece. We will be back. read more

Amazing food--chipotle lobster roll was heavenly and meaty. Go for the fries with the side of cheese. The pair has a perfect blend of a kick and creaminess. Amazing staff and cute location, too. read more

if youre in cape may and by the beach, this is the perfect spot for a quick lunch. even if youre just hanging out, i think its a great spot to stop at. i really liked my lobster roll - i think it had a good amount of meat to roll ratio. the roll itself was small, but i think the meat made up for it. the price was a little steep, but this is normal for the area. the lobster bisque itself was okay. a bit on the salty side, but i appreciated the amount of lobster meat in it. we ordered at a window, and then sat right in front outside. i think they might have had 1 or 2 small tables inside, but overall its an outdoors seasonal spot. they do not have bathrooms to use, so if youre eating here, head over the the public one at the city hall a few feet away. no alcohol, BYOB. read more

How far in advance is the lobster cooked and the meat extracted? (Is the lobster fresh or frozen?) It certainly wasn't at the time of purchase, or the service would have been much slower.
Do not know the answers. My question is did you eat the lobster and did you like it? If yes, then processing really doesn't matter. I know I'll be back this week.
