    Vanilla latte
    Nina D.

I was so dissapointed by this coffee shop. I had high hopes since it was so close to the office but I will likely not be coming back. The iced vanilla latte was so sweet and was basically sweet milk (had to add an espresso shot from our office coffee machine). I also ordered the yogurt parfait and it had a weird water liquid coming from the fruit which wasn't the most appetizing. They also barely had any pastries and breakfast options which was surprising considering it was a Friday morning at 9am. Everything also felt slightly overpriced considering what you get. The staff was also not the friendliest, giving me very little attention (almost some attitude) as I ordered. The kitchen (which you can see behind the counter) also looked like a mess which didn't really make me want to order any of the prepped food. However, there is a lot of seating for anyone looking for a place to work or study.

Pros: Cute little cafe right across from the park. Outdoor patio seating. Lovely service and help. Yummy pastry (ask for it warmed)! Cons: My latte was just not good. I got an iced latte with 1 shot of vanilla as I don't like too much sweetness. I don't know if they made me a traditional vanilla latte or the barista was heavy handed but phew. I tasted SO MUCH syrup. I also barely got any coffee flavor. I paid $5 for sugar milk.

    exterior, super cute French ambiance

After a nice stroll at Klyde Warren Park nearby, my friend and I searched for a spot to enjoy an iced latte. Our search brought us to LA Madeleine, a cute little French bakery and café. They are located in an area of office buildings so I can see that being great for the surrounding professionals to get breakfast, snacks, lunch and refreshing beverages here. Incredibly cute interior and exterior. The inside is what I would imagine a cute French café to be with selections of fresh pastries, sandwiches, salads, parfaits, lattes and teas. The exterior has tables of 4 alternating between circle and square shaped tables and chairs of the same color schemes. Plenty of seating on both entrances. I actually would have loved to enjoy some of their Madeleines but they were completely out. We came around noon time and they said they had just sold out. Hopefully the business decides to make more if they are out before lunch time. We still wanted to get a pastry so we decided on the Dark Cherry Greek Yogurt Danish (3.29/each). The pastry was light and crispy as you would expect of a French pastry. The Greek yogurt helped with the sweetness and added a creaminess, but I was not a fan of the cherry. I would probably enjoy this more in any other fruit flavor. For our lattes, my friend ordered a regular Iced Latte ($3.49) and I ordered a regular Iced Vanilla Latte ($4.29). I was surprised when they handed us our drinks because these regular sized drinks were palm size. Had I known, I would have gotten their large, which is probably a standard regular elsewhere. I enjoyed my latte, however I did not get the vanilla essence. I wondered if it was mixed up with my friend's latte but hers did not taste like vanilla either. If I am paying extra for a flavor, I really want to be able to taste it. A cute spot for those who are in a nearby proximity, but I am not rushing to go out of my way to come back.

Ordered two vanilla lattes and a regular one

Second in line. Waited 25 mins. Ordered two vanilla lattes, a regular one, and two chocolate croissants. I don't taste any coffee at all in any of the three drinks. Should've walked the extra half block to Starbucks. Servers were nice.

Seasonal turkey, cranberry white cheddar croque

Good pastries and sandwiches made fresh at a decent price. Service was very helpful and friendly. We tried the following: (Seasonal) turkey, cranberry, & white cheddar croque monsier ($8.99) - white fluffy bread with melted cheese on top. Turkey deli meat was a bit salty and couldn't really taste that much cranberry. The melted cheese was the best part Nutella croissant muffin ($2.99) - flaky and soft, but nothing that special. The gooey Nutella inside is delicious though Cherry yogurt Danish ($2.89) - a yummy pastry. Not too sweet, with cherry filling on one half, and yogurt on the other. We both liked this a lot more than the Nutella muffin (and we love chocolate based sweets) If I come back I'd like to try their chocolate almond croissant.

    Lemon Tart (Mini)
    Jevonda L.

I ordered a regular lemon tarte, almond croissant, and chicken parisien sandwich. Bread was soft and extremely fresh. Desserts however were a fail. Upon opening box I discovered I received 2 mini as well as a CHOCOLATE croissant. Admittedly its been a few months since I've had a tart (from another location) but even so these 2 didn't seem comparable in size nor taste. Even for a mini the size seems to have gotten smaller but the price remains the same. In addition the "custard" like filling was runny and devoid of taste. Not a hint of lemon not even with garnishment. The flaky pastry was the only thing that seemed fresh. Even the croissant was bad. It had shaved almonds (as it should) with the wrong filling. Ended up throwing both away.

If it weren't for dang Covid this place would be packed to the brim everyday! Walking distance from Klyde Warren, the Chase Tower, 2001 Ross, Fed Reserve and multiple other corporate buildings, this is sooo strategically and ingeniously placed. This Petite Market is exactly what this corner and area needs, a quick grab market with a quality bakery, again emphasizing the QUICK part. This caters to picnic-ers, high rise residents and Corporate America and is perfect for this niche. They have a refrigerated section that lines the La Mad counter with grab and go items: parfaits, tartes, oats, sandwiches etc. A coffee menu with a selection of hot and cold beverages (nothing too elaborate from what I can tell), 3 flavors of aguas frescas by the drink area, and a smaller freshly made menu with egg/hot breakfasts. The best part is that I went in real sketchy looking real yelpy/taking pics of everything with my phone and masked (due to city ordinances) and took forever to decide what I wanted and despite all of that each and every employee was welcoming and considerate! With my diddly daddling, an employee suggested I try a new menu item, an orange cinnamon croissant, as a batch had just come out of the oven. It is a perfect little sweet pastry that isn't overly sweet like say a donut. Had the perfect crunchy outside that their croissants do, with a wonderfully doughy inside, infused with a nice orange aroma and encased in cinnamon sugar. One thing I noticed is that I wish the pricing was clearly labelled, not that for a quick grab concept people would care, but I have no idea how much my croissant and cold brew came out to.

On a quick trip to Dallas and wanted something sweet so I came across this location which is near my AirBNB. It was a little tricky to find at first from the nearby park. They are following Covid precautions and the cafe looks very clean and organized with distancing measures in place. I ordered an iced white chocolate mocha and a chocolate almond croissant. As a pastry chef trained in French pastries, I'm very picky about my almond croissants. There's is very good! Sweet but fluffy with yummy almond frangipane filling. The staff is polite and the lady who made our lattes was sweet. The one issue is that the lattes take quite a bit of time to make as its done mostly by machine and I guess only one at a time. Their prices are fair and they're dog friendly !

Be aware when buying something from this store, some of their product expired and have mold on it.

Short and sweet review for a nice place. They had a lot of easy grab and go things like sandwiches and full espresso bar. The tarts looked tempting, but I went for a nice parfait. Nice place to hit up if you're at the galleries looking for good coffee.

So disappointed that my pasta salad side is this empty. For almost $5!! They were pre packaged and all containers had this much if not less. I obviously tried to pick the most full one. I ate a couple noodles out but this is just so unfortunate! Last time I got it at another location, it was a full cup. Ripoff!

That's the whole thing. French discipline, Texas spirit, six syllables, no further explanation offered or required, and if you do not immediately understand exactly what that means the moment you walk into The Joule on Main Street then I do not know what to tell you except that the rosemary tallow fries are going to clarify things very quickly. CBD Provisions opened in 2013 as the Joule Hotel's in-house restaurant, became famous for a crispy pig's head carnitas that required you to pull strips of meat off an actual half pig's head at the table and tuck them into tortillas, which is a dish so committed to its own bit that it belongs in a museum, and then closed in July 2025 for a months-long renovation that brought in new culinary director Sezer Deniz. Deniz trained under Chef Jean Paul Naquin at the Institut Paul Bocuse in Lyon, France. He has twenty-plus years in Michelin-starred kitchens including Alinea in Chicago. He is now making breakfast tacos inside a hotel in downtown Dallas and I want to be very clear that this is a promotion. The room has exposed brick and wood floors and steel beams and mosaic tile and antique mirrors and railcar booth seating and a center banquette and stone tabletops, all of which sounds like it should be competing with itself but instead produces the specific feeling of a place that has been here long enough to know what it is. I sat at the bar, which is the correct place to sit, and ordered the short rib corn cake stack, which is braised short rib and avocado and two poached eggs and a poblano hollandaise and which arrives looking like the cover of a cookbook that does not exist but absolutely should. The poblano hollandaise is the detail I keep returning to. Not regular hollandaise. Poblano hollandaise. Someone in that kitchen made a decision to take a classical French sauce with two centuries of culinary tradition behind it and introduce it to a pepper from Puebla, Mexico, and what resulted is something that makes you look at regular hollandaise and think, you had potential, you just never reached it. I ate the entire thing and then contemplated ordering another one and then did not because I am a person with limits, technically. The CBD Provisions burger is a double smash with American cheese and grilled onion and house pickles and something called fancy sauce, which is a name I respect enormously because it is not pretending to be anything other than exactly what it is. It comes with rosemary tallow fries, which are the reason I will order this burger every time I come here for the rest of my life. Rosemary. Tallow. Fries. Three words that in combination produce something that should be legally classified as a controlled substance. French in method, Texan in manner. Boots and a brasserie. The Joule has been on Main Street for years and CBD Provisions has been feeding people inside it for over a decade, new chef and new tile floors notwithstanding, and it has figured out the thing that most hotel restaurants never figure out, which is that the goal is not to remind you that you are eating in a hotel. The goal is to make you forget entirely. I forgot entirely. The tallow fries helped.
