Just realized that this place was open and gave it a 4 star for convenience for location. This place has all of your asian spices and sauces. Half of the store had Latino products but today I just focused on the asian products. There was a good mix between Chinese, Korean, and Japanese products. Lots of noodles, and a decent produce section. There was also a good selection of some asian cookware items. Prices are on the high side, but it is in the Oakland Mills village center, so much easier than going to route 40 for the larger chains. It was in and out with quick check- out.

This is a great grocery store to have in the neighborhood. They offer a great selection of Asian and Hispanic products. My last trip here I bought products from Peru, El Salvador, Mexico and Korea. I deducted one star because the produce department had few veggies that didn't look too fresh.

5 stars for unbeatable prices!! The produce section is my family's go-to for affordable veggies and fruits - where else can you get a whole bag of butternut squashes and bell peppers for just $1?? Incredible. The produce quality may not be top tier, but as long as you're planning on cooking it soon, this grocery is perfect. Wide selections of international food and spices too.

ICE entered La Mart last week to find and deport illegal immigrants , as of Trump's new laws.

Low quality and not clean. One time stopping for a look around here was one too many times.

If you are accustomed to Asian markets, LA mart is my favorite by far, good prices and broader selection than I could find elsewhere

The prices are reasonable and the quality is good. Parking is ok. One caution if leaving the lot to get on Rt 29 south: the ramp is to the left of the incoming ramp from Rt 29. Pay attention to the signs.

We had already done most of our shopping, but it was nice to walk around without feeling rushed. Parking is a little cramped but manageable. The store itself is pretty clean considering the amount of foot traffic it gets. You do get some organic smells in certain sections, especially around the seafood area, but that is expected with fresh products. As far as groceries, they usually offer multiple options at different price points, which is helpful. Whether you are looking for something budget friendly or more specialty, you will likely find both. It is a great source for finding ingredients and snacks you will not see in an everyday grocery store. Items are labeled clearly, which helps if you are unfamiliar with certain cuisines, though sometimes I still have to do a little homework in the aisle (on my phone). Checkout speed was decent when we went, nothing crazy, just smooth and efficient. Staff is pleasant, though there is rarely much interaction outside of the register. In the rear there is a food court with multiple vendors serving different cuisines. You can find Korean dishes like bibimbap and bulgogi, Chinese stir fries and noodles, Vietnamese pho and banh mi, along with fried chicken and other hot foods. I have seen plenty of people on social media doing food reviews there, and once you see the variety it makes sense. There is a decent amount of seating, and the food comes out quick with solid portions. Overall, it is good for families, foodies, meal prep, or anyone just looking to try something new. Being able to shop and grab a meal in one stop is a plus.

Their prices aren't the cheapest overall, but they're not expensive either. There are a lot of options for fresh produce, and my favorite thing to buy here is the halal meat and chicken. That said, the store could use some rearranging and a deeper cleaning. The vibe feels a little different compared to other Lotte Plazas, and it seems less clean than the one in Ellicott City. The staff are nice, but they could be a bit friendlier. On the plus side, there are plenty of parking spots available.

Although I have purchased decent seafood here, I realized after recent…read moreinteractions with staff here that several of the Seafood counter Hispanic workers as well as the Asian personnel encountered (who staff the in-store front office) seem most rude when approached and when asked even the most basic of questions! In the past, I have merely selected my items and then proceeded to checkout, so I had no reason to approach behind-the-counter personnel . Today, however, we had questions concerning some fish we intended to purchase and also had to visit the front office. At the seafood counter, the Hispanic man behind the counter was dismissive and twice became snappy! When asked about the bass, he refused to communicate the info requested. Then at the office, the woman snatched the receipt from my daughter and was impolite. Thus, I will refrain from patronizing this market at which we received harsh tones and unnecessary abruptness while shopping and during the manager's processing of a refund for 2 packs of SPOILED, SMELLY "sushi-grade" SALMON that I was forced to return only hours after my purchase. Only when I had opened the packs of salmon did the smell became detectable! The clue should have been the fact that the expiration date was May 21, 2026 and my purchase date was May 20, 2026. Yes, I should've checked the dates before making the purchase, but seafood personnel should've removed the salmon, should have accurately dated it from the start, and should have appropriately monitored the seafood case items to protect public health. Talk about a most serious Food poisoning threat! Indeed!!! The Lotte Market EXCEPTION is the onsite MOOLKOGI Restaurant which consistently provides EXCELLENT FOOD, and A-One CUSTOMER SERVICE! Unlike Lotte, MOOLKOGI is owned and operated by a warmhearted, dedicated, very responsible, expert chef, and professional Asian businessman and gentleman whose dishes are exceptionally good, always fresh, and well priced! But LOTTE MARKET overall FAILS to meet the public expectation and apparently seems to be operated based on a mindset that providing polite and qualitative customer service is optional and unnecessary. How foolish! I will not condone such a mindset by continuing to be a patron of this market as I reject and resent its biased and exclusionary business practices.
