Having grown up in the Midwest, I used to eat them often, but I have not had a cheesesteak since moving to LA. I decided to give this place a try. There was a small change of plans, with my wife wanting to also try other nearby food trucks. Instead of ordering a philly cheesesteak, I ended up ordering the Big Boy fries, which are fries topped with chili, beef, and pastrami. I realized they had philly cheesesteak fries after I ordered those, and in hindsight I wish I had gotten the philly cheesesteak fries. The Big Boy fries were still amazing though. Essentially, they are a lot like The Hat's pastrami chili cheese fries - chili, pastrami, and then the additional beef you would see in a philly cheese steak. Still pretty good, but did not satisfy my craving for philly cheese steak. I will have to come again to try their sandwich in the future.

I did notice there's now a small fee for using credit or debit cards, so cash is probably appreciated. I also love that the restroom has a kids' changing table and plenty of space for a stroller--super convenient for families. My partner has gotten the quesa tacos the last couple of visits, and they're amazing with that crunchy shell. Just note that the consomé is an add-on, even with the birria plate. And definitely try the cucumber water--it's refreshing and not too sweet. Worth stopping by if you're in the area!

Instead of responding respectfully, she immediately gave me an attitude and started lecturing me about their policy that no one can use the restroom unless they buy food. The problem is we WERE customers -- my husband was literally inside picking up our paid order. Even after I explained that, she kept arguing and said that next time my husband should take my son with him to use the restroom, which made absolutely no sense. Policies are one thing, but the way Norma spoke to us was rude, dismissive, and completely unprofessional. A business that treats customers like this over a child needing to use the restroom clearly does not value basic courtesy or respect. Very disappointing experience

There is a little seating outside, but for the most part you take your food back to your car or a park or home. The service is really great. I don't read Spanish well and some of the words confuse me. They are so nice and they always help us. The area is kept really clean and it is just a fun atmosphere. The food is great. They have all types of Mexican food, from tacos to burritos. They also have burgers that are super and I love their fish tacos. This is just a fun spot to stop.

We tried to contact the truck and they said they couldn't give us a refund unless we took the food back! They said it was not possible because "the truck had no ants" yet they crawled out of the food! We ended up going back to the truck and the female worker who takes the order ms said they had no ants and refused to open the tray to take a look. She said we must've set the tray down and ants went in there. Yet we had gotten the food and held it all the way to Dodger stadium and held the food all the way until our seats where we held them to open them up to eat! We didn't set the trays down anywhere like she claimed we did. This is gross!

I wished the pineapple pieces were a little larger. Service was quick and efficient. They did have a few rags next to the dishes (as seen on my video) which was minus a star for me. Parking was fairly easy, I found street parking. Tacos were solid. Al pastor tacos, 7.8/10: Meat itself was spot on. Smoky, flavorful, wasn't overcooked. Paired super well with the piece of pineapple on top. The tortillas though were a bit soggy from all the juices, it didn't hold up well. Wish they let me customize the salsa, since the guy put a large scoop on. That being said, I did like how the tortilla soaked up the juices and marinade from the pork. Maybe it soaked it up a little too well. Salsa also was a bit watery. Asada Mulitas, 6/10: The melty oaxaca cheese they used was great with the asada. The asada itself was tasty and they did not skimp on the amount. Add some chili and salsa verde on top for a little kick. At other spots in the LA area, I've gotten mulitas that have been assembled and put back on the grill for a crispier tortilla. But this spot didn't do that, so I was missing on that texture experience. I have the same criticism about the soggy tortilla. Really brings down the score for me. Horchata, 8.5/10: I thought their horchata was superb. Tasted the rice, cinammon, and milk. It wasn't watered down at all. It was a great drink to offset the chilis and grilled onions.
