They added an extra $1.50, it didn't have an explanation so I am assuming it was for the extra like I asked for which was fine. I also asked for 2 sets of utensils which they failed to pack with my food. They were so quick to charge me for extra lime but forget the utensils. How do you forget to pack the intensive? Also, I asked for no spice in my curry and understand that it's not possible to completely take the spicy away but my curry was like a 9 out of 10. On the traditional side there was a painting of a river with small passenger boats down river side homes. We ordered the Tom Kha soup, Yellow Curry, and Pad See Ew. The Tom Kha has good flavors but a little too sour but that's just me. The chicken Yellow Curry was good with soft carrot, but was salty. I had a On 2 Mambo class prior, so I swung by here which was located on the first floor. Decor was cute, definitely a more cute bright modern look for friends to get together, talk and catch up. We ordered the Ka pow and hot basil, both with chicken as the meat. Flavor was average compared to the Thai place that was originally there. Portions also looked a bit smaller than what I think would be served. Ka pow chicken dish originally looked like a lot but then after opening it, took a bite or two - discovered that it just covered a bunch of rice. If you liked curry these are a must for only $5. The Spicy Noodles or Drunken Noodles with chicken were amazing. The noodles offered a terrific texture and flavor. I asked for a number #3 on the heat level and they hit it right on the mark. The chicken was tender and well seasoned and picked up some of the mild heat in a good way. The red, green, and white onions were crisp and exploded with flavor when I bit into them. These were some quality fresh vegetables. This very well may be mine and my husband's favorite Thai restaurant! We have tried Thai Taste, Ka Prow and more local Thai restaurants in they simply do not compare. We first started off with the Tom Yum with shrimp. It was warm and comforting yet refreshing and had the perfect balance of flavors. What I loved was the shrimp was cooked to perfection and tasted clean and fresh! Then we ordered the appetizer platter which was impeccable. Everything had a very fresh flavor like the eggrolls and the crab Rangoon weren't rolled any earlier than perhaps the afternoon and were fried to perfection. on the platter was the chicken satay and the half moons! I came here for lunch and ordered the pad Thai with tofu and chicken wing appetizer to go. The chicken wing aroma filled up my car and I was not sure it. It was strong but didn't smell that great. When I got home, opened up the pad Thai level 5 spice and was very pleased so see such a huge portion! The tofu was good but the pad Thai was a bit more sweet than normal but at the same time lacked flavor. I'm not sure how that happened lol. I squeezed the lime and it helped but honestly I would not order it again. Not sure if it was an off day for the chef there or what. I feel like that's one of the simpler dish and I was not a fan-although it wasn't bad. It was just very plain. In regards to the chicken. It was so crispy and warm still. It was so good! The spices really were surprising to me. It was a nice crunch and I ate it with rice at home. It came with a sweet/sour sauce but I did not use it for the chicken but used it with the pad Thai lol. After having lunch and dinner at La Moon Thai Eatery approximately 4 times prior to today, I figured it was time to write a review.. Of course, this would be the time I finally discover the lunch menu... and the few crumbs in my water (from food I did not order). The experience was still good overall, based on the way the situation was handled- the waitress was calm, apologetic and promptly removed the glass to replace it with a fresh one. Customer service is great- the staff is quick, efficient and friendly! The food is always good and full of fresh spices/ veggies and flavor. Today, my boyfriend and I ordered from the lunch menu- prices vary from $8.95 to 10.95 and all meals include a "salad", portion of an appetizer and soup... I had the Spicy noodle- this had tons of veggies, three [slightly overcooked] shrimp and great flavor. My byfriend ordered the Thai Fried Rice, which I tried- tasted like fried rice. I put "salad" in quotes earlier, because it was literally like half a handfull of spring greens put into a bowl with peanut dressing on top, but this wasn't the main event. The appetizer of the day was half moon curry puffs- these were fried to perfection and had a great dough to filling ratio. The sweet and spicy soup had fresh scallions, carrots and the right amount of spice. I also added an order of shumai, which tasted great. Our total bill was $27.86 In the past, I've tried the thai tea, mango iced tea and those did not disappoint. I look forward to returning. read more
