La morra had a certain... hmm how do it put it? Italian vibe to it (hope that makes sense (double hope that makes sense since it's an Italian restaurant)). Food tasted super authentic like that one time I went to Rome (I never went to Rome). Waitress was super nice and the bathrooms were pretty clean. Actually there was a menu framed on the wall in the bathroom, just in case you wanted to multitask!

went for dine out boston. meal was 4 courses. the bruschetta was incredible- pesto was amazing. everything was flavorful and the service was quick. would recommend.

Food: the meal pictured was part of restaurant week ($55). Would recommend Ribolita (bean soup) which was less soup and more bean, all delicious. Tagliatelle Al Ragu had an extra $6 charge - also delicious. Pollo "Al Mattone" had a very strong and kind of strange taste that left a lingering aftertaste and smell - probably the only dish I wouldn't recommend, though the broccoli tasted amazing. Bombolini Italian Donut Holes were good, not amazing. Ambiance: fun and romantic - it's not so crowded that it's loud but seating does feel close to other tables. Service: great, no complaints Parking: street parking

The food is amazing here. It easily beats most, if not all of the north end spots for Italian. The drink selection is also great and the bartender knows everything about wine. She totally blew me away.

DINE OUT BOSTON Experience overall: 6.81/10 The overall ambiance of the restaurant could be described similarly to "99 Restaurant". The choice in music made me feel like I was in a early 2000s club, and most of the background conversation came from staff (nothing wrong with that). It made intimate conversations a little hard to hear but created an environment where it was fine to be a bit loud and expressive, very homey and warm. My partner and I wished for a more attentive service from our waiters but understand it was busy, though our dinner lasted 5:30-7:20( a bit too long for our taste since a good amount of it was us waiting for our orders). Sadly my favourite part of the dinner was my drink, which was delish but shouldn't be the best part of any expensive dinner, and for my partner it was the coffee with dessert. I ordered the Bruschetta and you could never go wrong with that, the pesto was bright and flavourful, and the beefsteak tomatoes were hearty and sweet but I will say the bread from the appetizer and the table bread they give you with Ricotta was very tough and hard to chew. We both had the Spaghetti Limone and sadly the sauce was broken so it had a lot of potential but became very separated and oily. For the protein entrees I received the hanger steak and my other half the Cornish hen. My steak was perfectly cooked but I got the sense that perhaps the targeted demographic was towards older folk because it lacked in salt and seasoning for both of our dishes. In the end I was disappointed in my experience but feel as though if I went again when there was no event the quality would go up. I would be willing to come again to give this place another chance but I wouldn't go out of my way to make a reservation soon. If my advice meant anything I would suggest maybe a more relaxing music playlist that could contain jazz or classic old Italian music to really immerse the clients. Better and cleaner presentation in the dishes makes a whole lot of difference and stronger appreciation towards the hard work I know goes into the kitchen staff; and lastly better timing in between dishes for a more efficient and attentive service experience.

We came here for Dine Out Boston and it was kind of underwhelming. I'm not sure how their regular menu is, but the dishes for their dine out boston menu that we tried were very salty and confusing. The salads had an overwhelming taste of vinegar and the one with the shrimp was super fishy so it tasted like ocean + vinegar. The gnocchi tasted actually pretty good but it was way too salty. If it was less salty, it would've been a great dish. The hanger steak was very disappointing (I couldn't cut it with my knife because it was so tough and should not have been extra $$). However the hake fish dish was pretty solid and yummy, especially the fried cauliflower. The sorbet was yummy but definitely tastes like it was store-bought and artificial. Overall, I don't think the food was worth $55+ per person and maybe it would be better if we ordered the regular dishes. The service was normal but interesting that they just placed the utensils right on the table without a cloth every dish. I just personally don't think the table was clean enough to put our utensils bare on the table. The environment was cute and gave off old fashioned vibes, which I could appreciate. The dishes we had were very salty and disappointing from what we have experienced at other dine out Boston restaurants/dishes.

Went here from a recommendation from the hotel across the street. We wanted a nice place to go for a pre-graduation dinner. My parents, friend and I absolutely loved everything about it! Quaint restaurant with high class service. Ordered a bottle of wine off their extensive menu. Food came out super quick. Ordered 2 salads and two entrees and two desserts and we ate family style. It was more than enough food. The beet salad was so good as was the spinach bechamel lasagna. Perfect fried donut holes and apple crisp to finish it off. Definitely make reservations. Also be aware there are steep stairs to get to the upstairs dining room.

Tell me you ran out of tagliatelle and subbed linguine....at least you wouldn't be insulting my intelligence.

If there were zero stars, this place would stretch to deserve it. "House made" ricotta with zero salt and sourdough bread....at an Italian place, are we in San Francisco or Boston.

Came here for Dine Out Boston and had an overall good experience. I made reservations for my boyfriend and I on a Saturday and it wasn't actually too crowded, at least during the time we went at around 6:00. Parking wasn't too bad despite it being street parking. When we walked in we were greeted by a super friendly host who led us to our table on the second floor. Such a nice surprise because the downstairs area was pretty small. One thing I appreciated about their dine out menu was the amount of options that were offered; even though it was just a tad annoying that many of the options had an additional up charge. For my appetizer I ordered the wood grilled bruschetta which was delicious. Super simple but the basil pine nut pesto was just spot on, and a great combo with the tomatoes and bruschetta. My boyfriend ordered the corn salad and I thought that was delicious as well! Very light and refreshing with great flavor! For my entree, I tried the tagliatelle al ragú and it was truly one of the best bolognese I've ever had. Highly recommend! My boyfriend had the hen, and I wasn't sure what to expect with that but it was cooked really well and had a tender texture and flavor. Finally for my dessert we both ordered the chocolate panna cotta which honestly was just ok. It was super small and a little too simple for my liking. Overall I enjoyed the food at this restaurant and would come again. I knocked a star off just for the awkward location right off of route 9, and the general decor/atmosphere, but the food does make up for it!

Sad that we didn't like this/kinda made me feel yucky after eating. The cavatelli was very good- nice light creamy sauce with the sausage and bitter broccolini. Very well balanced. Forgot to take a pic of the tiramisu but it was good, too! It's kinda salty (they add sea salt to the top). Drink menu was limited. Had two different glasses of red wine but wish they had something more full bodied on the menu!
