Actually had a good team dinner here, we enjoyed the cocktails, decor, and overall vibe of the place. We ordered the table side guac, trio of salsa, enchiladas and tacos. Beside the food and drinks being good, the customer service was actually pretty good. We'll be going back for HH.

After watching The Phantom of the Opera at the Hollywood Pantages, my friends and I walked over to this restaurant, which is about a 10-minute stroll from the theater. The restaurant is surprisingly spacious inside, and we were seated quickly. Our drinks arrived promptly, which was a nice start. The overall dining experience, however, was pretty average. The restaurant itself didn't really stand out, and the service felt very transactional. Our food was delivered without much interaction, and our server seemed to be juggling several large parties, making it difficult to get her attention whenever we needed something. Overall, it wasn't a bad experience, and the food was decent enough, but nothing really wowed us. If you're looking for a convenient spot after a show at the Pantages, it does the job. That said, there are plenty of other Mexican restaurants in the area that offer a more memorable dining experience.

This place was great! Came here with a friend after watching a movie & their drinks are so good! We both got strawberry margaritas, one frozen/one regular. Both were super good. We also both got tacos to eat, I got two fish tacos (one shrimp) and they were delicious. I definitely recommend the tacos de camaros if you're eating fish. The service was great too, we got sat right away and their chips & salsa comes with two different salsas which I really like. The server did take a while to check up on us but it gave us a chance to talk and catch up, so I didn't mind. Just something to keep in mind for the future. Overall the restaraunt is beautiful and very photo-worthy. The bathrooms sort of feel like airplane bathrooms but other than that, everything was perfect.

This is a small, upscale, Mexican spot with a cool vibe. Went for date night with my wife and wasn't let down by the food and ambiance. I'm taking 1 star off because service wasn't very attentive, I couldn't even get a water refill. The food however was very good, and I will be coming back.

Excellent happy hour menu. Great drinks and tacos. The corn tortillas are handmade. They tasted fresh. We tried the carnitas, asada, pollo, and pastor tacos. The carnitas were the best hands down. Very tender. However all meats were so good. The ceviche was very spicy but delicious. If you like spicy, then it's good. You can't stop eating it. The birria was also good. Everything we ordered was yummy. The drinks were not as strong, they could have been stronger. I would return for the happy hour.

    Buffalo wings and Palomas

La Nena Cantina delivered on food, drinks, and quality service. The buffalo wings were cooked perfectly, crispy underneath with a classic tangy sauce, served with crisp celery, carrot sticks, and a cool ranch dip that balanced the heat nicely. The palomas were a great pairing, they were refreshing and not too sweet, with just the right citrusy kick. The rustic mason jar glassware and hand-painted talavera-style plates gave the whole meal a warm, authentic touch that fit the cantina vibe perfectly. Great spot for casual bites and happy hour.

Delicious food and vibes! My husband got tacos and enjoyed them. The only reason I did not think this place was 5 stars: 1. I wanted a spicier sauce for my chile when I asked the said they had a big habanero salsa for $5. I feel like most Mexican restaurants I've been to provide you small bits of salsa at no cost. No way I was paying $5 just forks drizzle i needed. 2. Once we got our food no one came to check if we needed anything. It took me about 10 minutes to flag someone just to ask about the salsa. Our waters were not refilled.

Restaurant was a gem! Super clean and very cute decor - perfect for a date night. I tried the Adelita drink which was a pineapple and lime margarita. It was tangy but delicious and did its job! We started the meal with guacamole, which we quickly found out was A LOT for two people. Nonetheless, we devoured it & it was delish. We then shared the 5 taco sampler plate and added the pork belly taco (which was by far our favorite). The Al pastor was a close second with a lot of flavor and topped with pineapple. Server was super friendly!

Fransisco and Rafa was hands down the highlight of our visit! He provided outstanding service from start to finish--friendly, attentive, and made us feel genuinely welcome. On top of that, he did my friend a solid with one of the tacos we ordered, and that kind of thoughtful customer service really stood out. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was great, but its employees who make the experience memorable. If you stop by, I hope you're lucky enough to have them as your waiter. We'll definitely be back!

Fantastic service and delicious happy hour at a great price! We sat in the bar and the server was friendly and attentive. The tacos were delicious and the ceviche was fresh. The chips needed a little salt but the salsas were amazing. We will definitely go back!

Mezcalita de Jamaica made by the manager. (His suggestion)

Wow! I stumbled across this beautiful restaurant as I was walking down sunset and I am so glad I came in. The service was excellent. Rafa and the manager Luis made my visit extra special. I had the shrimp ceviche with a mezcalita de Jamaica. The flavors sent me to another world. I will definitely come back.

Our first time here and we're already planning a return trip! We arrived around 5:30 PM and were seated in a cozy booth right by the mural. It was quiet at first, but by 6:00 PM the energy really picked up--the place was packed, lively, and fun. The service really stood out. Our waitress, Nayeli, was superb--friendly and attentive. We also noticed the manager, Adelmo, making a point to chat with every table to ensure everyone was having a great experience. As for the food: it's a must. The tortilla soup was a great start, and my quesabirria tacos were the bomb. Even my wife, who is quite picky, loved her vegan tacos. We finished with cafe de olla and tres leches, which were the perfect ending. Tip: They offer validated parking at the Paramount Square garage (enter on Gower or El Centro). Overall, a cool ambiance where you're made to feel truly welcome.

The food is great!! the Molcajete is a must, the steak surprised me, and don't skip the fried ice cream. Amazing cocktails and an unbeatable happy hour, with a fun staff. New kids on the block right across the street from Sunset Rooftop with immaculate vibes. This place is for sure one of a kind. They have an ALL YOU CAN EAT BUFFET BRUNCH TOO THAT IS THE BEST EVER!! I was instantly so glad we chose this spot to celebrate our anniversary because it was the perfect setting for a romantic date night. Now, let's talk about the food! Everything we ordered was delicious, with the exception of the Korean aguachiles, which we probably could've skipped. We also tried the bluefin bibimbap, oysters, and the oh-so-tender short rib that practically melted in our mouths. But the most unforgettable dish was also the simplest: the Korean fried chicken. It wasn't necessarily something out of the ordinary, but it sure tasted like it. The perfect crisp, flavor, and seasoning had us eating every last piece right down to the bone. Our server also made the experience even better. She gave us some of the best recommendations and were incredibly attentive and friendly throughout the entire meal. We absolutely loved this restaurant and are already planning our next visit!

The Mulberry is a Korean spot, but no tabletop grills. Across the street is another Korean place. Mulberry serves dinner Wed-Sun. The menu is kind of "greatest Korean hits", including a few charcoal grilled items. The drink menu is pretty extensive. It's a smallish space with both indoor and outdoor seating and a darkish, festive atmosphere. Here's what we ordered: 1) Korean aguachile--flounder in a cold kimchi broth that was partially granita-like. Refreshing. 2) Fried chicken wings. Pretty classic. Supposedly half plain and half soy-garlic, but they were pretty similar. A nice sweet chili sauce on the side, along with some pickled daikon and other veggies. I like a sweet glaze directly on my wings, but these had a good crunch. 3) Chilled acorn noodle. With greens, toasted nori and a jammy egg. Cooling, but the greens were a bit harsh for me. 4) Savory egg souffle. Nice but nothing out of the ordinary. 5) Spicy braised black cod. I was worried it would be too spicy but actually was very mild, possibly tomato-based sauce with nicely braised daikon and a side of slightly pickled napa cabbage. 6) Grilled beef short rib. Delish! More like a hangar steak than short rib. Came with a dipping sauce, coarse salt, lemon and a little salad with a pungent dressing. 7) Hotteok a la mode. A caramelized cinnamon "crepe" with toasted seeds and vanilla ice cream. Delish. They also had a strawberry bingsu (Korean dairy-based shaved ice) that sounded good, a collaboration with Korean Ice Co. down the street. Note Mulberry claims it's a no tipping establishment, but adds a 20% "fee" to your bill. Overall a nice meal, on the pricey side. I do think I prefer Japanese food more, but Mulberry is a good introduction to Korean.

The restaurant really does feel tucked away once you get inside the Rodeo Collection. The space has warm lighting, colorful details, and a playful Mexican-inspired look that makes dinner feel fun without becoming over-the-top. We started with guacamole and empanadas before moving on to tacos. The Baja Style Fish Tacos were a favorite, with crisp fish, fresh slaw, and chipotle aioli. I also had the Grilled Prime New York Taco, and the steak was cooked really well and stayed tender. With the caramelized onion, guacamole, and salsa fresca, it had plenty of flavor without feeling overloaded. Between those two, we were already very happy with our taco choices, and there wasn't much left on the table by the end. The cocktails were excellent. My friend's drink came served in this ceramic donkey, and we immediately became a little obsessed with it. We loved it enough that the donkey somehow ended up making an appearance in half our photos by the end of the night. Our server checked in throughout dinner and gave us plenty of time to enjoy everything without ever making us feel rushed. We waited around 30 minutes between some of the food items, our drinks were forgotten, and we were rarely checked on throughout the meal. I'm usually pretty understanding when restaurants are busy or short-staffed, but that didn't seem to be the case during our visit. Between the long waits, forgotten drinks, and lack of even a simple "How is everything?", the experience became frustrating, especially since we were there to celebrate birthdays. When a place puts this much effort into creating a particular world, dressing the part really does make the experience more fun. The spirits themselves were excellent. We tasted vodka, whiskey, and rum, and all three were remarkably smooth, interesting, and clearly very high quality. I loved that the tasting was guided rather than just having drinks dropped in front of us. The storytelling and presentation made us pay attention to what we were actually tasting and gave the evening a nice sense of progression. We also happened to be there while comic artist Matt Harley of Marvel fame was sketching, which felt perfectly suited to the setting and made an already unusual night even more memorable.
