Last night was SUCH a vibe! From the food and drinks to the adorable aesthetic, everything was absolutely amazing. HIGHLY recommend the pork belly tacos, mole, and the melon margarita -- chef's kiss! After watching The Phantom of the Opera at the Hollywood Pantages, my friends and I walked over to this restaurant, which is about a 10-minute stroll from the theater. The restaurant is surprisingly spacious inside, and we were seated quickly. Our drinks arrived promptly, which was a nice start. The overall dining experience, however, was pretty average. The restaurant itself didn't really stand out, and the service felt very transactional. Our food was delivered without much interaction, and our server seemed to be juggling several large parties, making it difficult to get her attention whenever we needed something. Overall, it wasn't a bad experience, and the food was decent enough, but nothing really wowed us. If you're looking for a convenient spot after a show at the Pantages, it does the job. This place was great! Came here with a friend after watching a movie & their drinks are so good! We both got strawberry margaritas, one frozen/one regular. Both were super good. We also both got tacos to eat, I got two fish tacos (one shrimp) and they were delicious. I definitely recommend the tacos de camaros if you're eating fish. The service was great too, we got sat right away and their chips & salsa comes with two different salsas which I really like. The server did take a while to check up on us but it gave us a chance to talk and catch up, so I didn't mind. Just something to keep in mind for the future. I could honestly just eat that with chips and be happy! We had an amazing experience celebrating my son and my stepdad's birthdays here. The food was incredible, especially the table side guacamole and the seafood molcajete, and the cocktails were absolutely tasty. The staff went above and beyond with their service. They were so welcoming and even let us bring our own cakes, joining in with us to sing happy birthday. The setup was perfect for a celebration. They sat us at a nice, big table in an area that felt private for our group. As a great bonus, they have family restrooms, which made the logistics of a family gathering much easier. We were around the area and saw this with really good overall review rating. And from the photos the place looks really nice. Another plus is we didn't have a hard time looking for parking. There was another one we wanted to try but couldn't find anywhere to park. Once we got in, we liked the decor and the ambience. It was nice and cozy. We were attended to right away and seated. The waiter was nice and friendly. The food, however, didn't quite hit the mark. We ordered the esquites which I enjoyed. Another one I enjoyed is the pork belly taco. The tiradito de hamachi is drowning in sauce which is too watery that I think diluted the taste. And the chile relleno plate is a litte bland. Even the salsas and the chips are bland for my taste. For drinks I had the mezcalita which was okay. All in all I feel that the food in general is lacking in taste. There are a lot more other food places to try if we're back in the area. We needed a quick place to eat before attending a concert at the Hollywood Palladium. Thai is areal quick walk a block over from the venue. Nice looking location. Modern and could be a great date night spot. Decent bar selection. It was taco Tuesday so landed the extra score realizing that. They seated us right away, with the two of looking to make a quick run of th place we opted for the bar. Dove right into the Flaco Margarita and Mango Margarita. Over the course of the night the 1st Flaco was a win, the second came out much more on the sour side. For an opening appearance we did the nachos. You get some free chips while you wait. The green salsa was excellent, the red was more of a mole. The extra chips came in handy for the nachos. The pork was our add and tasty. Bartender recommended the steak but my wife doesn't eat it. Foreshadowing, the steak is great (think tacos). Came with fresh guac, the seem to do table side guac as well. The beans at the bottom the nachos were a solid add. Grabbed steak and chicken tacos for our main. The chicken was good. However, the steak was where is was at, so tasty. Between the 3 meats I tried #1 steak, #2 pork & #3 chicken. read more

First off, I do wanted to love this place. It looked cool outside and in. Now comes the part that the place doesn't want to hear. Less is more. Ordered the Tiradito De Hamachi. Drowned in some like soy sauce looking thing with oil. Esquites was ok, but a little salty. Had a taco pork belly which was good and chili relleno, which again was slightly saucy. They say be genuine to yourself. This is a Mexican place with waitstaff to go along with. But to me, it didn't taste genuine. It felt like a forced. I believe this place is fairly new so there's definitely some runway to improve. The vibe is great, but food needs some work. Not that it isn't decent, it is. Quick update....had our company holiday party! It's great for celebrations and big groups, and EVERYONE enjoyed the food! The Cafe de olla and hot chocolate were a hit, tasting like they were freshly made in Mexico and perfectly sweetened. My friend had been telling me about this place for a while, so we finally decided to go and check it out, we were not disappointed! We arrived at the start of happy hour when it wasn't very busy and received excellent service directly from the manager! We noticed the elegant decor right away and found a very comfortable booth to relax in. While I prefer a craft beer, the selection of Mexican beers were pretty decent and the skinny margaritas that came to our table were excellent. I was surprised at the size of my nachos, as it was larger than expected, in such a very good way! The two ceviche's were very tasty and fresh and hit the spot as well. I would've never found this place but thankfully they had a menu posted out front and I was feeling like tacos. I didn't have much of a hope for this place as recently the food in the city has gone downhill, but I must say, holy wow! The elote was fantastic. I loved that it wasn't covered in Mayo and messy. It was fresh and tasty. The aguachile ceviche was amazing. It a bit spicy so please steer clear if you can't handle spicy. The taco sampler: My favorite was the carne asada. It was really good quality meat. Like cutting an actual steak and putting it in a taco. My second was the molé. The chocolate wasn't overbearing and although it was rich but sooooo good. The carnitas was great as well and so was the chicken. I opted out of the pastor because it f my pineapple allergy. Overall the service was great. This was an amazing good time. Lots went well. They gathered a table for us to gather it. I think they were about 17 of us or less, and there was not a long wait. The food was amazing. The staff was gracious, entertaining, very helpful and conscientious. I did have one experience that I needed to bring attention to was the fact that I was ordering the tacos, whichever great by the way, however I wanted to know if this was the only item that I would get with the order and there was a missed opportunity to let me know that there were other items on the menu with the tacos that I could order that came with the rice and beans cause you can have Mexican and not have rice and beans as a side, you know what I mean and so I did call that to my servers attention to make her aware of that when I was asking. I asked her was she aware of this option? This was an opportunity and I didn't wanna have to pay additional for those items when it's on the menu. It was 30 bucks and what I was purchasing was nine dollars each so she graciously offered to add those items at no cost and that made my heart smile and we were good. I only knew it was an option because I saw someone else plate and it came on the plate so I'm like wait a minute what did I miss? We're all good. I'm happy. My food was great. I got it with no cheese. I don't really eat dairy, but I will for some things that is worth it. The ambience was amazing. It's really light filled as you could see by some of the photos of great photo taking opportunities. They're very kind of trendy and bright lots of glass. We can see out the windows with the sunshine through and it was such a treat that they prepared our guacamole right there at the table. Now the Donald side of saying and this happened in other establishment that we attended to we're all business owners and ideally, we need to have separate checks for our expenses and when there is a large party, I believe there is a missed opportunity for restaurants that don't honor taking your order separately you could get a bigger tip. You could also just include the 20% on each individuals order you get the same same difference, but better outcomes.. So we could only separate our order which was a large order but among three credit cards that creates a lot of tanks for folks and just this is not a good look it's not that efficient as they think it is or whatever the reason you may be. I'm making assumptions here cause I didn't ask but it's happened three times so I'm not happy about it so what ended up happening? One person pay the entire bill and we had to cash app Apple Pay Zelle Venmo our funds to them so that just puts more weight on our part to keep up with that transaction in a separate manner than being on our business credit card per se. I would definitely go back again and again actually it's probably been my second second time there when I visited for these types of events. Bathrooms were divine in a treat and all gender that's always a plus and as you can see, I did a photo shoot in the stall, which felt like Lyka really like a bathroom and one's home again I'm always gonna tell you that the cleanliness of a bathroom tells me a lot about the cleanliness of the restaurant and where they're preparing the food that their intentional about it. They mix the guacamole in front of you and add, or don't add things like onions, cilantro, onion juice, jalapeños, tomato according to your personal preference. La Niña Cantina is a fantastic newer spot that has gone in on Sunset Boulevard in their vinyl digital media district. Is it a high energy opening kind space with beautiful design and Harkins that of Mexico City itself. Unlike the previous spot, there's an easier walking flow to this restaurant just put to its best use during their weekend brunches that I definitely recommend a reservation for. During the week I recommend a duo or trio of tacos, ranging from vegan to fried fish. The skinny or Flaca margarita is a phenomenal addition to that as well as chips and their massive tableside served guacamole. It is probably the largest and most memorable guacamole experiences in all of Los Angeles. After the weekends, we are talking live mariachi band people. Such a great vibe and many stations are included in your ticket, price dessert, juices, coffee, and various versions of a taco and burrito bars. This place is great whether it be for upbeat loving date night. Or a weekend bottle of mimosa or bottomless margarita fun experience. Thank you everybody for what you do.
