Great food. Might break a tooth on the tortilla chips. The guacamole is basically salad with some avocado mixed in.

Great little place. Had tacos (lenguas, barbacoa, carne guisada), enchiladas americanas, and the beef cooked with tomatoes chilies and onions . All were really excellent. The chips were home made and the hot sauce (red and green) were the best I've had in Conroe. The homemade flour tortillas were outstanding. They serve breakfast all day (which my son was a fan of). went here 2 days ago before our last visit. the price was 20$ went two days later got the exact same thing and it was 25 mind you we had asked for extra salsa and has assumed that the 5$ extra was for the salsa. she gave us the exact amount of salsa we had gotten when we Assumingly didn't have to pay for the extra five. We asked for a little more salsa and was told it would be 6.50$ don't know why we were charged the extra 5$ for the same food we got two days prior. not good service. read more

. I tried to order breakfast tacos with red eggs and green eggs (aka reboltillo rojo y verde) so I could try them but I was told these are only sold as a plate order....bummer!!!! I'm new to Conroe so I'm still in search of my place to go for authentic Mexican so the inability to work with such a simple request is really a negative for me. I also ordered two barbacoa tacos and q chorizo and egg and huevos a la mexicana. I got there 10 minutes after placing the order because that's how long the guy said it would take. However, I got there and the order wasn't turned in yet as I had to wait another 10 min. I had been there the night before as well and the service was slow too. I was craving menudo and this place popped up and was close so I gave it a try... hands down the best menudo I've had .... and just to try I ordered some beef cheek tacos and they were also great ... staff are super friendly and storms came thru and I ordered it to go ,their lights went out and they still made sure I got my food .... awesome .... My family and I came in and we were standing near the door for a good 5 minutes waiting for someone to give us direction. A server looked at us, turned around and then shook his head. I'm not quite sure what we were doing wrong for him to that. We got out immediately after that happened. I'm saddened that we couldn't taste the food. They had good reviews online. Not everything we've had here has been great, but from the first visit, I was determined to like this place. We've settled in on our favorite dishes and are never disappointed. I love the menudo, and the barbacoa taco on a flour tortilla with onions and cilantro. My husband loves the tacos de pollo on flour tortillas as well. We usually get our tacos on corn tortillas, but at the suggestion of our server, we tried their in house made flour tortillas, and we were hooked! We also bought several dozen tamales here during the holiday season, and found them to be wonderful. Good home made salsas and thick ,crispy hot from the fryer chips accompany the meal. If you're looking for the absolute worst and slow service, servers who care less about customer satisfaction, this is the place for you! Their service lacks tremendously. I had to wait 15 minutes for limes to be cut up, I ended up leaving before they gave them to me because I fe that is way too long to wait. Management here doesn't care about customer satisfaction, they only make excuses about their inability to tend to customers. Ordered at 1 o'clock went to pick it up at 1:30, I gave them plenty of time because I know they're slow. I still had to wait another 20 minutes between getting the food and waiting on the limes. This is not a single occurrence either. It doesn't matter if you get it to go or dine in service is still just as bad. I doubt I will ever go back. Good luck keeping customers with that business model. read more
