Stopped by this place on our way back to bay area after a few days in San Luis Obispo. It's a simple place, nothing fancy, but those are usually the best! They have a nice menu with lots to choose from. They also have a chip and salsa bar that is complimentary with outstanding salsas that are all handmade in the restaurant. The green one (forgot the name) was my favorite. It was made with tomatillos, avocados, onions and cilantro. Yum. I met Edgar,the owner, who was a super nice guy. He has three of these restaurants and is a very busy guy. His daughter works there and was super sweet. We had taco salads, one with carnitas and the other with al pastor. Both were amazing. The service recently has been atrocious. Unfortunately the last few times I've called to place an order a younger girl answers the phone like she's getting a call on her cell extremely unprofessional. I've called and been answered with just a "hey" by this young girl. I personally recommend this place all the time because I used to get great food with great service but recently it's been unpleasant to say the least. We don't get a welcome or a thank either when we get to the restaurant. She is also always accompanied by a younger gentleman whom she seems to be distracted by. I think I'll have to put a hold on going to this restaurant for while. read more

I stopped here for lunch on Sunday. I ordered a burrito bowl and the ingredients were all fresh. The food was delivered quickly and there were fresh chips and salsa available. When they first opened I said wouldn't be back. Well we have been back several times. The food is delicious. We had the pastor taco's and pastor tostada. The flavor was excellent. My husband leaves off the cilantro. The meat was tender and not burnt. I appreciate the free chips and salsa. They have their fountain drink machine in now and yes you can get water. The lady working there is always warm and very friendly. I can now recommend eating here. read more

Located in a small unassuming strip mall, is a delicious taco shop! The salsa bar had several housemade salsas. I tried each, green is mild and flavorful. The reds are basically medium, and there's a brownish-blackish one that is hot! Grab some chips while you wait for your food. Order at the counter and they bring to your table. Fast, generous proportions, well made. Vegetarian options too. We ordered a kids burrito, veggie taco, and carne asada burrito. The veggie taco was so stuffed I had to eat it like a mini taco salad. Tasty, especially when I piled salsa on top. Kids burrito was about the size of a burrito you get from a fast food Mexican join like Taco Bell or del taco. This place is a hidden treasure. The torta ahogada was exceptional, the birria pizza was delicate and delicious (not greasy or fatty) and the quality of the shrimp in the quesadilla was perfection. This place deserves all the praise it gets. Pleasant service as well. read more

Ordered two fish tacos. There were very few small cube size fish on two small size soft tacos.

You order at the counter and they bring your food to you. They have a self serve salsa bar and chips. The salsa was all good. The La Parrilla bowl with shrimp that I had was delicious. Great flavors and I really liked the way it was prepared. The prices are average for Paso restaurants. It's a smaller restaurant very casual. Service was very friendly. Their food is good but the location is poorly run. Last time they couldn't complete order because they ran out of cheese. I don't know how you run out of something that every store carries or even get it from your other location 10 miles away. Today I went in and they didn't have cups for their salsa bar they had substitute cups but no lids that actually fit. On my last leg of giveing this place any more chances. read more

Food was absolutely delicious! First time coming here, came from out of town for a football game and was ridiculously satisfied. One of the best Mexican food restaurants I have tried, came with family and we each ordered a little bit of something from the menu and everyone was so pleasantly impressed. We enjoyed our dinner at La Parilla Mexican Grill as we just wanted a quick and easy meal during our stay in Paso. We had tacos, fajitas and chips. All were good and my daughter enjoyed the salsa bar. This is a good alternative to the nearby restaurants at the city center. read more

This is a great addition to the Atascadero Resturant. Although the Atascadero spot has a much better in house dinning experience. The food in the new Paso location is exactly like the original, but with a Smaller eat in dining area. For those who enjoy take out this is the spot!! My go to is the Chicken Torta. read more
