Indeed, the Flatiron location is just as delicious as the one from my neighborhood. I came with a group on a Sunday evening. Reservations were easy to snag. I ordered the tagliatelle bolognese, with stewed meat so wonderfully tender and pasta so freshly chewy. I also stole bites out of my sister's garganelli, which had that strong garlic flavor and freshness from the clear sauce. At that moment, I enjoyed hers more than mine. Everyone else from the group enjoyed their dish. One of us ordered the pumpkin ravioli, which she ate quickly and happily. Then for dessert we ordered the tiramisu for the table, and everyone couldn't help but marvel at how delicious it was: creamy mascarpone, lady fingers soft and fully soaked in espresso that wasn't too strong. We came here on a saturday evening at 8:30 AM and were able to get a hightop table for 2 without a wait. My favorite dish was the garganelli. The creamy mushroom sauce was very flavorful, and the pasta was cooked to a good consistency. Pork chop was very tender and juicy, and it came loaded with toppings and a nice sweet and sour sauce. I started with the Whipped Ricotta with truffle honey and it's very earthy and comes with really good crispy bread which i believe is from Balthazar Bakery. They brought extra over too. Ambience is so beautiful. It's like a spring/summer vibe restaurant. Food was superb. I tried some of the fried artichoke appetizers, which are unique and delicious. They were crispy and served with a nice aïoli. Wow what a place to go to for girls night out! We did have a reservation and it took us a while to be seated so you must be mindful of that. Other than that, everything else was perfect. We got the Little Gem Caesar and the Creamy Burrata to start off with and they were both amazing! I definitely preferred the creamy burrata because the figs with the burrata and the pistachio were just a mind blowing combination. For our sides we chose the Roasted Mushroom and the Broccalini which were both a bigger portion than we expected (not a complaint!). My friends loved the Roasted Mushrooms but I unfortunately am not a mushroom person. For the star of the show, we go the Campanelle and the Rigatoni. Both of these pastas were great but my absolute favorite that I couldn't stop raving about was the Rigatoni. The pasta was just cooked perfectly Al dente and I believe it was severed with a tomato alla vodka sauce which was super nice and creamy. We added a burrata in the middle of this pasta but honestly I don't even think it was needed. We finished off with a tiramisu and this tiramisu was huge! On the menu it says that it serves two (or four!) but I definitely think it served more like 4. Luckily our server warned us so we didn't order another dessert on top. The service was great and they even grated more cheese on top for us and was super patient and waited for my friends to record before starting the grating process!
