    seafood albondigas

La Perla used to be the old Mariscos Mi Mazatlan which used to be one of the best Mexican restaurants in Tucson...The new place have a nicer overall sea and naval theme going but the audio inside was just so loud. The wait time was a little long for the food but everything tasted really good and worth the wait. I particularly liked that they have a "seafood albondigas" as I've not seen that anywhere else in town. Their take on the surf and turf was perfectly cooked and it wasn't so expensive like many other restaurants that do steak and shrimp. It seems now that it's rare to actually feel satisfied/full for food that is not too expensive but La Perla really does that well. I'd like to go back but really hoping the wait time for actual food doesn't take sooo long next time and likely would also be a great idea not to get seated where the live music (the night we were there it was a guitarist-electric not acoustic-that was playing). Good food and really liked the new theme...def agree ¡En La Perla la vida es más sabrosa!

La Perla Del Pacífico is the "Pearl of Tucson"! Don't miss out, we haven't had food this fresh since we ate our way across Greece. I just stopped in for lunch, and the place is pleasantly inviting. Service was fast and top-notch. The owner, Paul, takes great pride in everything they do there and it shows. The food was fresh, hot and let me tell you; I've eaten Mexican food all across America and this is one of the best. Oh, you don't like Mexican food? That's OK, they have amazing seafood dishes that will rock your socks, and you won't even know it's Mexican. I think the cooks are using Abuela's best recipes and they skimp on nothing! Just try it, it will become a restaurant you will return to over and over again. And you can take your out-of-town guest there and they'll think you're a genius!

They always give you enough, tostadas, crackers, mayo anything that you might need to make your tostadas at home

I haven't had the pleasure of dining in. I always order takeout, but I can't tell you that it's very typically decorated of a Mexican seafood place very lively. Also it's very clean and their staff is super friendly this time around I ordered two tostadas one shrimp and one fish ceviche, and their portions are quite generous. You can appreciate on the picturesthose 2 cups equals the two tostadas that I ordered I can probably make about six tostadas with the amount that they gave me love this place.

Came to La Perla Del Pacifico on a Saturday afternoon wasn't too crowded I was greeted right away and seated promptly. They brought chips and salsa right away as well as taking my drink order. I was unsure what to get the waitress Stephany gave me good recommendations. I went with the à la Boston which is shrimp wrapped with bacon and filled with cheese it was amazing I would recommend . The ambiance was also great they had good music playing the whole time not to loud and when I asked for them to put the u of a game on they didn't hesitate . Overall great experience I will be back.

Place is very clean and with a family friendly environment. It has a wide variety of dishes. I chose the fish filet with the culichi sauce. One word, OUTSTANDING! Well served, perfect on the body of the sauce and the fish made perfect. Comes with a small green salad and some home potatoes. Service 10 out of 10. The Lady that helped me was very friendly and attentive. I would recommend this to anyone.

YUMMY! Their service is always great. Attentive and friendly servers. The ambiance is lovely as well- very welcoming, nicely decorated and a bright open space. The patio is quite large and dog friendly. One of the best brunch spots around- we look forward to coming back.

I wouldn't say that it is top of the line cooking, but it is very delicious and definitely worth a visit this side of town. Parking can be a little challenging, they do share a parking lot with other businesses, but close in, there are not that many spots. Service is always friendly and makes you feel comfortable. Interesting atmosphere with flamingos galore and other things decorating the inside. Gives it somewhat of a party and fun feel. Food comes out in a timely manner even when they are very busy. Prices are reasonable. Give it a try, I think you'll like it. 5* = A top favorite. Mind-blowing good. I will definitely return and I will go out of my way to go here. Worth every dime of my money. 4* = Outstanding. Top-tier. Some elements not quite as good as it gets, but it still is worthy of my regular business. 3* = Good experience. I might do repeat business if it is convenient, the only option, the only one in its category, or on a whim, but would not be among the first thing to come to mind. Would definitely recommend you trying it to get your own take on it. 2* = Not so good. Would not recommend at all. Waste of money. 1* = How are they still in business? Stay away at all costs!

Teaspoon is one of the best overall restaurants in Tucson…read more I've been here a few times over the last year or so. It has never disappointed in service, quality or taste. (well once in taste, but I'll get to that) They have great in-house made items. Like the Challa bread, the preserves, their pesto. They most certainly know what they're doing. I had unseasoned filet mignon once, I believe it was the omelette. I talked to the manager. Now I wasnt upset, didn't send it back, I just told them what I experienced and mused that I found it odd the cook forgot a simple thing like salt. The manager acknowledged my complaint and that was all; or at least I was fine. Nope, she came back with a to-go box of croissants topped with cream and berries as an apology. They were tremendous by the way. She didn't have to do that. The ambiance is it's only weak point, but even that is minor. Simple black is fine. It's modern feeling and doesn't stand out loudly. They have outdoor seating, which early in the morning is fine, but id avoid in the summer, which will likely mean you'll be waiting, depending on the time. Oh! I forgot to mention, they have very good drinks. They really are intentional about the blend of flavors, they have a little something for everyone. All in all, I cannot recommend this place enough. It's been a shining star amongst Tucson restaurants and I am grateful they exist. Even to how they organize their menu partly by flavor profiles shows they genuinely LOVE food. I love food too, and I love here. Try this place. Today.

As a whole, I feel like the side pairing of challah toast with jam and butter is an odd choice. I also ordered the iced Thai tea, which was quite weak. Overall--I wasn't really feeling it. When you go to Teaspoon, you're really paying for ambience over quality. There's no issue with the service here, from hosts to wait staff. The food is simply underwhelming, and thus so is the experience. I wouldn't be mad to return, but I don't know if this would ever be my suggestion.

The staff also were kind enough to move one of our chairs out of the way so our dog had lots of room to lay down. Staff were all very kind and never seemed annoyed with the dog (you can always tell at a restaurant if they are, and they were very happy to accommodate him). Very dog friendly!! The food: We gotta talk about their French onion soup. It was pretty dang delicious! The broth itself is quite nice, a nice cheese portion, and the baguette was divine. I also had their French Connection sandwich (with a side of fries), and it had a great combo of ooey, gooey cheese, firm and flavorful ham, and served on a really delicious loaf.
