The first time I came here was not the smoothest visit. 100% my fault. I was so excited to finally make it here that I bought probably more than I should have, including two huge aguas frescas, several paletas, and an assortment of other snacks. I overestimated my ability to juggle all of these upon my exit and, when putting them into my car, spilled one of the huge aguas frescas EVERYWHERE in the front two seats. It was hibiscus flavored and bright red. I ran back inside to get napkins to help sop it up but in the end I had to really get in there with some cleaning supplies at home to get all the dried, sticky beverage out of the crevices. I had about a 1/4 of the hibiscus drink left and chugged it in frustration. Good news? It was delicious! That one had been for my husband (oops) and I had gotten myself a mango one, which I also quite enjoyed (and had more of it enjoy since there was no spillage there). Not one to hold my own stupidity against anyone else I returned to La Pina Loca a bit later. This time forgoing beverages that were not of the frozen variety. I got my husband the pina colada (virgin) and myself a churro sundae. Having learned my lesson, I enjoyed my ice cream seated at one of the smaller tables they have in their storefront. It was a good call. The sundae was so good! Ultra indulgent and bigger than I had estimated. I wasn't able to finish the whole thing. The pina colada was delicious as well. I didn't finish it like the previous hibiscus drink though, which means my husband got to enjoy it. He's a bit of a pina colada connoisseur and he loved it. There are several savory snacks on the menu here, many of which are adorned with tajin and/or hot cheetos. Admittedly, I'm not much for spicy food (I don't mind it, but my acid reflux has other ideas), so I typically forgo those, but if you're into that you'll find some really fun flavors and photogenic snacks to be had here!

Very wonderful place. Kind staff and clean restaurant. Vegan water based paletas are amazing! I recommend the mango! Also got a mangonada, the tamarindo stick is "Bamburindo" brand which is also vegan. Will for sure continue to this great place! A+

Huge menu of authentic Mexican Mexican food. The fresas con cream is delicious! Great crunch with the nuts and granola and the fruit is so fresh and sweet. The cream tastes like horchata and condensed milk and it took strawberries to another level!

This is disgusting absolutely fucking disgusting. I found a hair in this fruit bowl never again

Absolutely fucking disgusting. I found a head inside my foot and it's I started throwing up disgusting horrible don't ever visit this place.

I've been here a couple of times and will continue coming back. Everything tastes great and the prices are good too! They have a really broad variety of things to try. This has nothing to do with the restaurant itself- but just something to keep in mind-the parking lot for this mall is very very small so you may not always find a spot and end up having to wait a little bit for a space to clear up depending on what time you go. Well worth the wait though!

My friends and I decided to give this place a try and oh my goodness what a Gem. The place has very easy parking for Ann Arbor, as its in a little shopping plaza off of Platt. The space is very clean with a good amount of seating. They had a hand sanitizing station which I really appreciated. The menu is quite extensive, but I really don't think you can go wrong with anything you order. The favorite thing I ordered was the corn cup. If you don't like spicy food be sure to talk to the employees and find something that will fit your taste. Everything on the menu is colorful, I loved it!!

That's all I needed was to find more amazing ice cream in Michigan that I can't take home with me. I'm also never in Ann Arbor so that doesn't help I tried fresh basil ice cream. It was drizzled with lemon olive oil. The most amazing and unique flavors. They have butterfly moon, not blue moon. While blue moon tastes like fruity pebbles, butterfly moon tastes exactly like froot loops and is even the color the milk turns when you have a bowl. Service was friendly and didn't mind us trying lots of samples. How can you not when they're all so amazing and unique !!

I also got the double dark chocolate, which was decent but a little more lackluster than I expected. They have a huge variety of flavors though and it definitely feels like the kind of place you need to come back to multiple times to really explore the menu. Every time I walk by there's basically a line around the block, so clearly people love it. Thankfully when I actually went, the service moved pretty quickly. Definitely somewhere I'd come back to try more flavors.

There's about 8 desserts and a "dessert of the day" to make it extra difficult for you to pick. So we went for two desserts and a port flight: *Toffee Blondie Sundae (Warm Coconut-Pecan-Butterscotch Blondie Topped With Vanilla Ice Cream | Oat Streusel | White Chocolate | and Rum Toffee Sauce Poured Tableside) - mmm rummy rum. I feel like if you like Rum Raisin ice cream, you'd like the flavors of this! It was pretty decadent but not in a chocolate-y way. I couldn't stop eating it! *Brown Butter Lemon Bar - this was the dessert of the day. Loved that it was topped with ample fresh berries and wasn't too sweet. The toasted merginue-y whip was a really nice touch too! They also had a tasty looking boozy coffee beverage, which looked bomb but we were too full!

Server knew nothing about drinks (asked how to spell Laphroaig, which seems like day one material for a cigar bar; didn't know what Tokaji or Sauternes were) that were on the menu, several of which they didn't actually have in stock. Bananas foster bread pudding was delicious, however. I'd try to the Chop House, but probably wouldn't go back here.
