I stumbled upon this restaurant after leaving an appt. It's a pretty good sized restaurant with lots of tables, the staff is friendly and helpful. I visited for the first time one Friday night around 7:30pm. The parking is tight, but I suppose they have events taking place in some other parts of the restaurant. Parking was more readily available in the street. There was plenty of seating in the take out/sit down portion of the restaurant where we were; very casual atmosphere, with the take-out line a bit lengthy. Once we ordered, we were served warm bread with butter for the table - excellent! The food, in general, was equally good and I would come back again. We had veal parmigiana which needed a bit more sauce on the plate and a buffalo chicken pizza, which was very tasty, with blue cheese dressing as a sauce and spicy pieces of buffalo chicken on top. The pizza crust was perfect; I'm definitely going for pizza next time I visit. Where I need to take exception was the service. From the waitress who seated us, to the waiter who took our order and served our food, it was just one of the most impersonal experiences I've ever had in a restaurant. It was sort of like a vending machine: you punch in your order, it falls out underneath, you take it and eat it. This is where this venue loses a star. It wasn't so busy that they (the woman who seated us and the waiter who served us) couldn't make eye contact, or smile, or at least say hello; because they did none of those things. Maybe even pass by during the meal and ask "how's the food tonight" or "is there anything else I can get for you." The bottom line is that the food was good, but the service was cold, impersonal, and transactional. read more

This place unfortunately isn't quite what it used to be, for me. The pizza has always been good, never great. Ordered a Chicken Parmesan hero with Vodka sauce, it was absolutely bland! I ran into a few hiccups with other vendors, RSVPs, and seating, but their team was incredibly helpful every step of the way. A special shoutout to Mike, Ashley, Jose, and Dawn--I can't thank them enough! My family is very Italian and can be pretty particular when it comes to food and service, but everyone has been raving about how attentive the staff was and how fresh and delicious the food tasted. I've been coming here for years now.Family vibe environment. I love it here. The staff is very personable and they remember you sometimes even by your first name. The manager is a great guy as well! I came here on a Thursday night. I thought this must be good because the parking lot was nearly full, but there were a couple of empty tables, so we were seated right away. The staff was friendly, attentive and upbeat. We were served a basket of warm bread immediately, along with some butter. We requested olive oil and the waiter brought it to us right away. Some of the food ordered: hot honey pie. Wow! It had pepperoni and hot honey. We asked for hot cherry peppers in the pie, and they accommodated us. It was delicious! I'm not sure I can go back to a piece of regular pie!!! The penne oreganota was delicious! It had lots of shrimp and asparagus in it, and it was in a delicious scampi sauce. I loved that they sprinkled bread crumbs on the food and then toasted it. The garlic was mild and I want the recipe! The shrimp and linguine was in a fra diablo sauce and was everything you would expect it to be. Also ordered was lasagna and meatballs. That too was delicious and comforting. The portions are huge, so no dessert was ordered. I understand this is a family business and they are coming soon in Westbury. I can't wait! I definitely recommend this restaurant. read more
