Consistently my favorite neighborhood place to stop and have a quick bite, or hang with friends for a laid back evening. Large outside area on the side with picnic tables and perfect front porch for my pooch. The nachos are amazing and they don't skimp out on the toppings. Very flavourful salsa choices. Still the best Margaritas in the Golden Isles. Very friendly and attentive service.

I had heard good things about this place. I stopped by for dinner and really appreciated the host seating me as a single at a 4 top As that is all that was available. Really appreciated that instead of being told to wait or go to the bar. Service was excellent! I was a little disappointed that you have to pay for chips and salsa but I get it. I ordered the sunshine margarita which was very tasty. I also ordered the short rib quesadilla. It was chock full of meat and delicious. The side of beans and rice mixed were fine but I wish the bowl had been a bit larger as everything tended to spill out. The place is small but nice. There is an outside eating area as well but it was raining so that was not an option. It does have a small bar and tv for people wanting a drink and appetizer.

Outstanding tacos. We randomly came here post 9 holes of golf and the tacos were amazing. Al pastor, mahi mahi, & chicken. Highly recommend!

La Plancha is one of my faves on SSI. It's in a tiny mid island plaza with Brogens North as the other anchor. A busy and intimate experience awaits. Everything is delicious. I recommend everything with my favorite being the black refried beans and the skinny margarita. Everything is fresh and delicious. They offer lunch and dinner specials from time to time. Do be sure to leave room for dessert! There is both indoor and outdoor seating, and a small bar. You'll be well cared for by the staff here. Jerry and the ladies always go above and beyond. There's also a TV to catch a game, if that's your thing. See website for hours, location and more. Lunch is a limited window, and dinner 'til 9. Don't delay. Ole!

Whenever I come back in town , this is my go to spot before I leave . They always deliver with the atmosphere, kindness, taste and delivery . Everyone is sure to find what they are looking for . As well as the drink selection for alcoholic and non alcoholic is always a delightful surprise . The new Casa Azul tequila soda was pleasant as well !

This spot is easily one of the best Mexican restaurants on the island! For years, we always stuck to our go-to, Bubba Garcias, and while we still love it, La Plancha offers something different! This time, I ordered the veggie quesadillas and my mom ordered the nachos and we halved ours so we got to try everything. All the food was absolutely delicious (as were the margaritas) and the service was exceptional! I do have a few faults with the restaurant. While the place itself is very cute, it's also extremely small. They do have some outdoor seating, but when it gets cold or windy it's not always the most comfortable. I also wish they had a lunch menu with some more affordable prices. While $15-$20 dishes would not be terrible for dinner, I think it's a little pricey for lunch. Despite this, the food was so good I'm sure I'll be back for more!

EXCELLENT EXPERIENCE! Been searching for a decent brunch in…read morethe area and my wife suggested Woodside. My experience is that many places just don't deliver the quality expected and I'm often disappointed. I'll have to say, Woodside delivered! This place is clearly elevated, elegant, and the food is prepared with culinary skill. From the moment we stepped inside, I could tell the atmosphere was classy and quaint. We were greeted by our server Buddy and the bartender. My instincts were that this was going to be good. I was still cautious. Buddy seated us appropriately and brought us menus and filtered water. We both started with coffee and to my surprise Buddy brought a large urn of French press coffee, whole cream and sugar cubes, I absolutely love French Press coffee but rarely see it at a restaurant. I make it at home and it definitely adds to the enjoyment of a good cup of coffee. Definitely a step above here. We looked at the brunch menu and found it hard to decide as there were so many interesting selections that I wanted to try. My wife ordered the Eggs Benedict and I ordered the Croque Madame. As I deliberated, Buddy suggested that I'd stick with my first impression and that I would not be disappointed. I thought it was very classy the way he presented that and it makes sense that sometimes one should go with their first instinct, rather than wonder if they made the right choice later. Again, there were just so many things I wanted to try. When our meals came out, we were both pleasantly surprised at the quality and taste. This was not ordinary breakfast, but I had a good price point for what you get. It was really about the same cost as most breakfast places on the island, but such higher quality and sophistication. I can honestly say this was the best brunch experience I've had in many years and we've frequent a lot of places. The Croque was so tasty, complex and abundant and even the french fries were excellent. My wife's Benedict was also very special as it was rich, fresh, and absolutely clear it was prepared by a chef. The Latkas were a tasty complement. Overall, this was an outstanding experience and I just didn't want to leave. I can't wait to return for dinner to experience it. I believe the menu changes daily and I would definitely recommend Woodside as an elevated dining experience. I am happy to rate this a true 5.0 as it is the best food I've had in the Brunswick/SSI area over the past 6 months. Buddy was great and clearly understands service etiquette. Thanks so much for helping us enjoy a truly nice experience.

The seating was plush and comfortable and the tables are spaced far enough apart that you enjoy your own conversation without hearing everyone else's at the same time- a big plus in my book. Our server, Cameron, took the best care of us, answering questions and making suggestions that ensured everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meal. They offer a happy hour for cocktails and small plates even on Saturday which we all took advantage of! Between the group we sampled a large portion of the menu and the only thing we didn't LOVE was the steak Kushiyaki (skewered grilled meat). The steak was too tough and smoky for our tastes, but every other dish and drink we would absolutely recommend! Some standouts were the Szechuan noodles, the salmon and Hamachi crudo, the tuna tartare and surprisingly? The burger and fries! I will definitely be back next time I'm in the area!

My wife started with a glass of wine and I had an old-fashioned. The wine was a Zwiegelt and a decent pour which was nice and dry. I enjoyed the old-fashioned which was nicely presented but on regular cubes. We ordered a number of items off the HH menu, including the shaved Brussels sprouts salad, black bean tlacoyos, a short rib torta, and the Dorothy burger and fries. The torta was tasty but small. I'd pass on the tlacoyos but it was fine. We also ordered a fresh salmon belly off the raw bar menu which was my favorite and very tasty and would definitely order again. This was a nice experience and would try again. I'd rate at a 4.4 if Yelp scoring allowed it. Check it out.

Stellar cocktails, friendly service, great views, modern design aesthetic, and incredible food. My only gripe is that they do not take reservations, though even on a Friday night, I've been able to get seated within 20-30 minutes, and you can always grab a drink from the bar and hang out on the lawn while you wait. This most recent visit, I started with the seafood chowder, one of my favorite soups on the island. Creamy, hearty, with plenty of fish, shrimp, crab, and potatoes. Shared a crabcake with my girlfriend--another solid choice, with plenty of crab, not too heavy on the filling, and with a lovely remoulade. For mains, we both had the grilled redfish, a baked potato for me, and mixed veggies for her. Perfectly cooked pieces of fish with a nice crust on the outside while still being moist and tender. Dessert this time was the chocolate pie, which was quite nice, not being too heavy nor excessively sweet. Did I mention the cocktails? I'm a big fan of the smokey mango Fiddlerita (a mezcal take on the classic marg), and the saladito a close second (again, mezcal, but with a little honey and cayenne). The girlfriend enjoys the basil smash (hold the simple syrup, please). Previously, we've tried the artichoke dip, which is also fantastic, shrimp and grits (solid, but Reid's does it better), blackened tripletail over creamy leek sauce (a special, and special indeed), and the key lime pie (excellent). You really can't go wrong here.

I ate here twice over the course of a week, once at the bar, and once in the dining room. Michael took great care of us at the bar, and Devin was fantastic in the dining room. Also, a shout out to the short little Hispanic fellow who delivers those delightful warm rolls--incredible! The second time I visited, we had to wait a few minutes while our table was prepared. In maybe six minutes total, no less than seven different servers approached us to make sure we were being taken care of. Forget about the menu you see online. The specials are where it's at. Both meals I had, there were at least five appetizer specials, and nearly double that for mains. I won't go through a blow-by-blow of every dish, but suffice it to say every single thing we ate was perfection. And even after salads, our mains, and sharing two desserts and three appetizers, we left feeling satisfied but not bloated, a testament to the quality of the food. GO TO THIS RESTAURANT.

First I have to give a shout out to our waiter Devon. He managed to list all the specials slow enough that I was able to keep track and remember them. Usually I give up about half way through. Anyway, his service was also excellent. I ordered the duck which I have had there before and oh my goodness it was even better. The outside skin was grilled perfectly and had a nice bite to it. My husband had the pork steak schnitzel. He shared one little piece with me and it literally melted in your mouth. I told him next time I was getting it - it was that good. So big decision next time I go back as I loved loved loved the duck. We typically don't order dessert but hey it was Valentine's Day. My husband ordered the key lime pie which was monumental as he is super picky and never ever has anything good to say when he does get it. That changed- he declared it was real key lime pie and would order it again. My chocolate Guinness cake was also excellent. So as you can tell, I definitely recommend this place and the fact that they just keep getting better is phenomenal!
