Stale, chocolate & vanilla concha
Dee M.

Zero stars, go to HEB to get better quality. We went out for an assortment of pastries for breakfast, sorry we choose to go to this bakery. The concha, sweet bread (chocolate & vanilla) was dry, stale, and disappointing. The jelly donut had barely any filling and was not fresh in the morning. The danish was dry and not fresh. The chocolate eclair had no, NO custard filling. None. The jelly roll was dry, dry, dry. Very disappointed in this bakery, not worth the trip or the extra expense. Zero stars, worst bakery or donut place ever!

No stars Disappointed disgusted my husband just brought this bread yesterday on sept 25 2022 and it had mold on it my daughter ate a piece I didn't realize it till she asked me what it was I was so grossed out they better pray my daughter doesn't get sick because I'll sue them for everything they have today is sept 26 2022

By far the worst Mexican bakery I've ever been to. The sweet breads where a different size the doughnut was stale and the quality was subpar. Hoping there's a better bakery in town and this place.

I was out running some errands on a Sunday afternoon and on my way home I was coming up on a La Popular Bakery. I don't buy too often because I know it's not good for me, but what the heck, it's the weekend. Anyway, I dropped in and bought a few basic sweets (a couple empanadas and a few more polvorones). I'm not a the greatest judge on these items, but I found them good and they hit the spot. As a semi-nearby bakery, they can always be sure to get a visit from me.

The Pearl's beautiful mix of historic architecture and modern design creates the perfect backdrop, and there's no better spot to grab a table, sip a coffee, and enjoy some of the best people-watching in the city. The food never disappoints. The Quiche Lorraine is consistently outstanding! Rich, creamy, perfectly seasoned, with a buttery, flaky crust that somehow manages to be both delicate and substantial. And then there are the macarons. Bakery Lorraine has one of the best selections around, with flavors that range from timeless classics to fun seasonal creations. Each one has that perfect crisp shell with a soft, chewy center, and every flavor tastes intentional rather than overly sweet.

Bakery Lorraine was highly recommended when I visited San Antonio, and it definitely lived up to…read morethe hype in terms of ambiance, both the interior and exterior. All of the bakery items looked so tempting, but I ended up trying three macarons. They were very good. The filling was more of a light cream, which I actually enjoyed more than a typical jammy filling. The Earl Grey flavor was my favorite! I also had their matcha latte, which was pretty much a standard matcha with agave. The only downside is that food items are a bit on the pricey side, and they're definitely best eaten fresh because the croissant can get hard. Still, a lovely spot to check out if you're in the area!
