My husband and I used to always hit up their location on Alberta in Portland. We were so excited petite provence was finally coming to Vancouver. My husband always gets the salmon hash and as usual it was delicious. I usually get the chorizo hash which is my favorite, but today I wanted to switch it up and get the caramelized banana French toast. It was delicious. Although I am definitely more of a savory breakfast person rather than sweet. But wow the French toast was amazing. The only thing we didn't like was the jam that came with the croissants. It was way too sweet and tasted more like frothed sherbet than jam. The petite provence on Alberta has the best jam. It's so fresh tasting. We came to La Provence for breakfast and will surely be back. The friendly hostess seated us right away and the friendly server was prompt with our meals and refills. The mushroom omelet was delicious as was the flaky buttery croissant. And although the location is off a main road the area we sat at didn't seem like it. There is an area where people can sit outdoors while enjoying the meal. The bakery is phenomenal. There is not only croissants but freshly made breads and various pastries. :) Enjoy! read more

Great spot for brunch! We got the La Provence Benedict and Chorizo Hash Scramble - both of which were delicious. We also got a couple mimosa flights which I would highly recommend. They even gave us a couple free croissants. Also be prepared to wait on the weekend. read more

This place is so gorgeous and the dessert (tiramisu) was so good! I thought the menu would be bigger but it was very small and didn't offer too much variety. We did however split the portions amongst ourselves because they were large. Overall, this place is great to take your friends for brunch and a long sit down, it's peaceful and delicious. read more

Took my mother here for a birthday breakfast. First of all, our waiter was incredible -- he was so friendly and did his best to accommodate my mom (who was being annoying about her coffee). The restaurant was cute and had a nice atmosphere, although it's obviously a chain restaurant (like much of Vancouver). We were seated right away even though it appeared quite busy. Sadly the food here was just not good. I don't think anything was poorly cooked, it was just a lot for my boyfriend and I to digest because it was so rich. (He got ill during breakfast and kept running to the bathroom and I was nauseous all day. I had another friend who vomited in the parking lot right after breakfast on a different occasion.) My mom however enjoyed her meal and had no digestive issues. I'll stress again that I don't think this was the restaurant's fault! I just don't understand how this place has so many stars? I'm wondering if it's lack of choices in general or if more people are just ordering cakes and pastries (which we didn't try). It was also quite expensive for basically well-plated diner food with most entrees costing around $20 a plate. read more

We ordered take out since there was a lot of people waiting to be seated and we didn't feel comfortable standing with so many people. We ordered food for a family of 4 which came up to $110 with tip. One of the orders we asked for no tomato. The lady said no problem. We get the food guess what's on the sandwich? tomatoes. They even wrote on the box "sorry we couldn't make the sandwich without tomatoes". If they could not have made the sandwich without putting tomatoes on it, they either could have called the number back and said they couldn't or wait for us to come in and ask if we still wanted them to make that particular sandwich. I would have chosen something else because my kid loathes tomatoes. None of us liked any of of food. My son's pancake was like rubber. It all went in the trash. We ended up having to go down the street to get Chick Fil A to actually enjoy some food. Plus my avocado was not fresh. I have been to this restaurant a couple of times. Different experiences each time. This review is for the last time I was there. We were seated pretty quickly at an inside table. The social distancing was up to 50% occupancy now. I felt safe and was ready to enjoy some delicious food. Our server took forever to come over to us after we were seated. She walked up to us, put down a couple of glasses of tepid water, and said, are you ready to order? No greeting no how are you doing, just I don't have time for you are you ready to order. I was very put off immediately. My friend and I stayed however, and attempted to enjoy our lunch together. I had a salad with chicken breast on it. The greens were fresh, the chicken breast was quite nicely, but it was pretty boring. Mostly just greens. My friend got a chicken sandwich with chipotle. She enjoyed it very much. It was tasty and unique. The service continues to be very lax a daisy all through the whole lunch. We did order a Napoleon to share for dessert. It was a mess for me. The Filo dough seemed tough and old. Not my favorite. I always enjoy the pastries and bread here. I will definitely come back to give that another chance. Hopefully as things move along the service will get better. Especially in today's economy and choices. read more

What a very pleasant surprise! It has been a while since we've been to a notch, worthy of being called a world class restaurant here in the PNW. We fully appreciate the attention to detail and how the menu was designed and structured. The food was exquisite and delightful. After several enjoyable lunches at La Provence, Vancouver my wife and I decided to try breakfast with them. What a disaster. Cream bad enough that it curdled in our coffee. While drinking my coffee my wife noticed a major lipstick stain on the other side of my cup. An overworked waitress had a plate slide off an overcrowded tray she was carrying which fell onto our table, not her fault, but it took some time before the mess on our table was cleaned up. A croissant brought to me had several hairs on it and the first replacement was rock hard. Eventually my wife asked for the manager who comped 50% of our meal without us asking. But this experience was not what we expected from the high end kind of restaurant La Provence is trying to portray. read more

I can't believe this place is so popular. Went in this morning for a cream cheese danish. Very disappointed. Pastry was tough as leather barely even able to chew it. Then when i payed for my terrible 4$ pastry I noticed that they added a "kitchen surcharge " what in the actual ____???? So let me get this straight, I'm paying 4$ for a pastry then I am forced to pay the kitchen that made said pastry a surcharge?? Unbelievable. Absolutely will not be back. This place is amazing with breakfast and bakery! My favorite dish is polenta with cheese & eggs! My only complaint is that they do not know how to make coffee.. it's either not freshly roasted beans or they don't have a good barista. But it's a huge minus for a breakfast place. Lucky Camas and Eastside Vancouver have a LaProvence restaurant! To be honest the restaurant has been there a couple of years now and it's so nice to find finer dining in the area. There is an in-house bakery, I doubt you will make it past the bakery cases without stopping, looking and ordering some thing on your way out. Parking is plentiful, there is often a wait time (let me add it is not an unreasonable wait time I would say no more than 10 to 20 minutes)as it is very popular With the breakfast and brunch crowd. There is always a special soup, or entrée worth taking a look at. The staff is Much more knowledgeable about the menu and the type of food that is presented than I have found at similar venues. You will find that under the house favorites offers a lovely croissant, don't bypass this opportunity . Some of the entrées we have really enjoyed, the French onion soup is excellent, polenta cakes topped with fresh poached egg and a hollandaise sauce sprinkled with lovely bacon bits is a favorite, The Cubano sandwich served in a croissant very enjoyable, and there are some classic dishes like the Montecristo sandwich are also delectable. read more

This place is very classy...it's new and everyone is so nice and friendly. We went on Mother's Day around 9:30ish and we had to get in line to get our names in. It was a 90-min. wait so we went shopping and home (I'm like 5mins away) to change my tight cute shoes. Loved their system my daughter downloaded so you can see where you are in line. When it got down to No. 11, they called us and we came right over. I would give this place really a 4-1/2 bc I was not thrilled with their cake we bought from the bakery (a small square chocolate cake and a berry cheesecake). It was good but not fantastic.
