Looked on-line and went there for my birthday lunch? $48.80 was not reasonable. to say the least. The salsa and the sauces were not good. Bad taste, not pleasant . I had a sea-food soup and it was 100% oriental. So acidy it burned my mouth. All the guts were in the soup also. Nothing American. My wifes lunch looked so bad, her son traded to save the day. Chimichanga was tiny,like half the size it would normally be in other restaurants. Pay attention people. This is a lousy Mexican grease hole. Ps. Authentic Oaxacan food. As someone who used to live in Mexico, i can tell you it is good stuff! The salsa is great. The fajitas are great. Typical mexican sparse decor with tvs on, but that is part of the experience! also, on a warm day, you can eat on the back deck. It is usually packed, so that says it all. read more

I ordered a take out chili relleno burrito, but received a tortilla filled with over cooked rice and only a few beans and a little bit of chili relleno. Literally, 90% rice. Just a big hunk of starch. Yuck! I fed it to my dogs who seemed to enjoy it. I live a couple of blocks away, but will never go back. So disappointed. Went for dinner with two picky tweens. Chips, two kinds of salsa (green & red) plus a small plate of beans were delivered to the table right away along with waters. The red was okay; but the spicy green was really special! One tween ordered a beef quesadilla with rice on the side. Her only complaint was that "it has too much meat for a quesadilla." IMO that's not really something to complain about. The meat consisted of small pieces of tender steak. It looked good to me and she polished it all off. The other tween ordered a beef super taco with rice & beans on the side and ate every last bite. She liked the beans so much she ate the whole plate that came with the chips plus the bulk of the beans that came with my order. I ordered shrimp fajitas with corn tortillas. It was very good and loaded with vegetables. It probably could've used a few more shrimp; but that's mostly a tribute to how good they were. The waitress was nice enough, though I'm not sure she was comfortable speaking English. The only problem this presented was that she couldn't really give much of a recommendation, even when it seemed that ordering just one super taco might be unusual. My husband and I came here two days in a row. The food is outstanding. Highly recommend the chili verde.

We highly recommend this place. Food is fresh and well prepared. Their taco salad is superior to any we've had over the years. Their sautéed chicken salad with onions and peppers and other sautéed veggies comes with a salad of greens and tomatoes with an avocado dressing on the side. Delicioso!!! We go to LaRoca every time we are in town (and that is regularly). Not only is the food authentic and excellent, but the staff is extremely warm, friendly, and helpful. Has a family atmosphere and we enjoy the food and the staff very much. Serving sizes are large and they are very flexible with menu items. Great salsa and a wonderful variety on the menu. Highly recommend eating here if you are looking for the "real" deal in Mexican food and a welcoming local atmosphere! read more

First off, this place is not where the Yelp map says, it's farther south in town. But this place was great. Service was good, they didn't speak much English but that's a good sign at a Mexican restaurant. The food was great, my husband and I each got a combo plate and our bill was only $20. I had ordered a tamale and burrito and the plate came out with a tamale and gordita. The server was gracious and I got an extra item for free because of the misunderstanding. I ordered a child's enchilada and an adult lunch enchilada to go - got home and saw they were the exact same size. One tiny enchilada, about an inch wide and 5-6 inches in length, with some rice and beans. I thought they accidentally gave me 2 children's orders so I called and made them aware of the mistake and they said to come down and my adult lunch enchilada would be ready. Got there 20 minutes later, still not ready. The man who took my order said that the children's enchilada and the adult lunch enchilada were supposed to be the same size, just with the adult one having more rice and beans. I told him that no, the portion size they gave me for the adult one was exactly the same size as my 8 year olds meal. Had to wait longer for them to make me another one, got home afterwards, and it was the same size as the child's order once again! They charge way too much money for their portions, spend your money on a Mexican restaurant where you will leave full. read more

This was my second time to LaRocca and will be my last. We order chicken flautas which the menu stated came with guacamole, sour cream ,beans and rice.The order came and there was maybe a teaspoon of sour cream and guacamole. Asked the waitress for some more sour cream and I didn't like the salsa that they had on the table so I asked for some pico de gallo. The waitress brought it back to the table and we continued eating. When she brought my bill I was charged two dollars for the sour cream and $.95 for the pico de gallo. When I asked about the extra charge , she just shrugged and said it was extra. I told her that she didn't say anything about the additional charge when I asked for it. The waitress then told me "there's nothing I can do about it" I told her yes there is : go get the manager. After a while she came back said the manager would not come to talk to me because he's on the phone and she took the extra charge off. The service and the food is not worth going there for, find a better restaurant and save your money and frustration. read more

This place is legit. Like other posters have mentioned, this is not Tex-Mex or the watered down Mexican/American food. La Roca is without a doubt the best Mexican food that your going to find in Lincoln City. The service can be somewhat slow when they are busy. But otherwise, the staff is very attentive. Our family loves this restaurant! We have tried several Mexican restaurants in this area and this one is the best. The service is friendly and they have reasonable prices, especially the kids menu. Most of all, however, their food is just delicious. Their salsas, both red and green are the perfect spiciness. The quality and flavors of everything we tried was superior. They close at 8pm but they still took people even after this time and allowed everyone to dine at their own pace without trying to shoo them out. Definitely give them a try! read more
