A small 'hole in the wall' place with a very nice staff. I ordered a tostada salad with chicken. Portion size was small for the price and oddly, came without beans. The tostada shell was fresh but, the fresh salsa served with it was definitely not made today. Overall, disappointing. I most likely would not come back again, even to try another dish. read more

Awful! . Chilaquiles were soggy and appeared to have been doused in tomato paste. Scrambled egg on top was egg cooked flat and lain on top. Beans were cold with cheese dried on top! Small little business that is a very clean and awesome place to have a large size meal! The owner and his waitresses are super friendly upon arrival. I had a few questions and they all helped by giving them their opinions. They also have specials on a board on the wall and tbh, not a bad prices! Super affordable and large portions as mentioned above. Order me red chiliquiles with two sunny side up eggs, beans and cheese with their salsa on the side. Also a sausage breakfast burrito with eggs cheese and potatoes. A side of pico de gallo and another salsa for my bff. Everything was super delicious ! Mexican joint owned by an Indian family in Orange, CA. Only in the USA. Our friends in Orange vouch for the quality of their food. So one of the times I was visiting them, we ended up here. Drove by & decided to sample this place by trying their taquitos (rolled tacos). Disappointed that it was a total of $7.20 for only 2 taquitos & the filling was barely meat mixed with carrots. Expensive & nothing great in my opinion, especially to see there was shredded carrots inside the taquitos. Everyone else in the restaurant seemed to be enjoying their food though. I've been coming here with my grandma since I was 8 once a week on Fridays so it holds a lot of memories considering I'm almost 40. I don't know if it's amazing or if I just want to hold onto what. I love this little hole in the wall place! I've been going here for many years. Paul is wonderful and remembers my typical orders when I call in! Martin also knows and remembers exactly how I like my food when I arrive. Always show appreciation to the cooks please cuz they matter too!! One favorite I enjoy are the shredded beef tacos! They are filled with lots of meat, and cheese and a tomato on top! His salsa is homemade and delicious too! This spot is in a little strip mall and you pay at a counter. I didn't like that they use styrofoam for everything including drink cups but it is what it is. They have a couple tables outside which was nice but the inside was fine, if not a little close together. The food was yummy, their salsa is good, and the service was good. Best hard shell tacos and best salsa around this area! There's chicken or beef, typically I prefer beef but their shredded chicken tacos are good. They may sometimes be a bit stingy with salsa, especially if you're taking your food to go. There's always a lunch rush, I recommend calling in your order if you're on a time crunch. read more

I wish I had yelped this place before I came in. I don't know where all these good reviews came from because this is by far the worst "Mexican" restaurant I've ever been to. The menudo was for sure straight from a can so it wasn't too bad so you can't really mess that up, but the steak egg potato breakfast burrito was a joke. My boyfriend only ate it because he felt bad that I paid for it but I can tell he didn't enjoy it whatsoever. This place is definitely not authentic Mexican food. We started going to La Siesta 20 years ago. There was a wonderful Hispanic family that owned and were there 6 days a week. Food was always consistantly excellent. We have always ordered their Chicken enchiladas with the green sauce or their beef with red sauce. A couple of years ago the owners retired and the new owner is wonderful. The recipes are still the same so food is fantastic. Love their carnitas, chili colorado, tacos, menudo, chicken pozoli and their cheeseburger special. Their salsa is HOT but we love it! read more

This is not authentic Mexican food. It is WAY overpriced, the burritos don't have rice, cilantro or onion, their tacos are on flour tortillas with meat only. When I called to ask why their items don't have rice, cilantro or onions their response was 'the salsa already has cilantro and onion' and their burritos just don't have rice. Don't bother asking for green or red salsa, they don't have any. Go to Taqueria Mexico down the street instead. read more

I've been here a few times now and it's delicious and fresh every time. The staff are super friendly and I will continue to support and recommend this restaurant on the regular. The other day I had a craving for a juicy REAL BEEF burger and I came to La Siesta for a double cheeseburger and hot crinkle cut fries. It was the best tasting burger I've had in a while. The beef they use is superb quality and it has that "chuck" flavor. So good! If you're craving a burger give this place a try, I think you'll be coming back. Don't get why the high ratings. Been here a handful of times and just for breakfast burritos because of convenient location. Ordered same burrito but they have been so inconsistent as far as the East is from the West. One time there was a ton of cheese, another time, there was barely any. Taste is ok but don't think they use quality ingredients. They're stingy in the salsa and there's one lady that is quite grumpy.
