Simply OK. Overly priced. Not the friendliest service. The family and I ordered takeout from here online and arrived about ten-fifteen minutes after the time our order was supposed to be ready. Upon arrival to pick up the order, we essentially got in trouble for being late to pick up our order, with the excuse that "oh, this is all natural gourmet food and needs to be eaten right away!"--with attitude and all. I mean sure, all food needs to be eaten once it's ready but for a dish to not be able to sit out for 20 minutes is a little absurd. Whether they had a point or not, the food did leave a lot to be desired. We are talking about a bowl of soup and two salads; it's hard for that to "go bad" in a short amount of time, no matter how "all natural and gourmet" the place claims to be. All in all, I'm one for second chances and will give them another, but I'll be sure to sit right next to the kitchen so that I'm eating right as the food is coming off the stove... or right out of the fridge if it's a salad. read more

Great little bistro right on biscayne. Love the decor and the brightness of the place , with floor to ceiling windows and a pretty backyard area. My husband and I ordered two lattes, which had the perfect mix of coffee and milk. For starters we ordered the toast board, choosing the peaches and goat cheese and salmon/avocado toast. The bread tasted soft and freshly baked and the salmon and avocado was a favorite. The peaches and cheese however, lacked that wow factor. I wish the peaches were sweeter or the cheese saltier to really give it good flavor. For mains I got the layer salad with smoked salmon and john got the kings breakfast. My salad was very fresh and guilt free. No over pour of dressing.. just a light bit of olive oil. The Greek yogurt pancakes that came with John's dish were delicious! Overall it was a great guilt free meal. The food is uncomplicated, fresh , without heaviness, grease, or extras. We ordered a vegan carrot cake muffin to go and it was amazing !! It's a charming location with very friendly staff. The pastries and desserts have great presentation and the carrot cake was delicious. The cappuccino was excellent and the ambiance is great. It's an attractive space from furniture to tableware. The food was good and if they can work out a few details it can be great. For example, the Greek yogurt pancakes have a photo on the menu but the plate that comes out isn't the same. The fruit is much smaller and the presentation doesn't measure up. After reading some great reviews and it being so close to my Apartment, the wife and I decided to give it a try and see if we found a new go to cafe to have breakfast at on occasion. To start, the place is decorated beautifully. They have indoor and outdoor seating. Will definitely take advantage of the outdoor next time as it looked very nice and cozy. I ordered the kings breakfast, which came with 2 pancakes, 2 strips of bacon, salad and fruit and 2 eggs. My wife had a salad. (Boring). Lol. We also ordered the toast board to share. The toast board was excellent. The salmon and goat cheese had perfect compliment of flavors. The 2nd toast was goat cheese and peaches. While good, it could have uses a salty flavor to compliment it like the salmon one. The kings breakfast was excellent. Bacon was tasty and the pancakes are their Greek yogurt blueberry pancakes, so they are super moist and I enjoyed the Greek yogurt flavor in them as well. My wife's salad was good, but nothing innovative from a flavor and presentation standpoint. We also ordered the vegan carrot cake to go to eat later. That was fantastic btw! All in all. I would definitely give it another try as I enjoyed my meal and they had some very intriguing other options that I want to try next time. One small knock, service was somewhat slow. The waiters seem to stand around the chef area, instead of coming back to check on tables to see if more water is needed or maybe something else. The waiter is incredibly rude to the point that you feel like your are in a prank show and at any time the cameras will come out and tell you that you've been pranked! Owner is the rudest, most despicable person I have ever encountered. My family and myself are regulars but this is the last time we will be utilizing their services. I ordered a cake for my sister's birthday and chef, who was very accommodating, mentioned the ordered cake would be ready for the following day after noon. The following day I called to verify if the cake was ready before driving all the way to the restaurant. Owner was the one that picked up the call and refused adamantly to verify if the cake I had already paid for was ready. He said in a very rude manner that he would check nothing that the cake would not be ready until 3 pm, and he was the owner and didn't care to check anything for me. To come at that time. I could barely speak after such shocking response to a such simplistic request. He does not deserve the respect nor monetary support from any paying costumer. I have attached the receipt from the cake in which the pastry chef noted at the time my ordered cake would be ready for pick up. We usually enjoy the food experience with the family but honestly after this, it will be very easy and pleasurable to find another restaurant to bring my family to. I got an avocado smoked salmon toast and I asked for Feta Cheese, but the feta cheese had a spoiled taste and I told the waitress, she came back saying the kitchen staff opened a new pack that day, that doesn't always mean it's fresh. They did not offer to change the dish, or compensate and that's a little upsetting because my office is down the block and I totally thought this would be my new spot. This is a super cute place located in Mimo. I stopped for a bit to catch up with a friend for coffee and we ended up getting breakfast here. You can sit inside or outside and I notice a lot of people use this place as a work place station using their laptops etc. Parking is free which is always a plus. I ordered an almond milk coffee and ended up getting eggs,salad and a small croissant. Prices are semi reasonable and everything came out to under $13. Not too shabby. read more

I can't speak on the food so this rating is solely on ambiance, service and coffee. I came here to do some work and was greeted by a very kind and attentive waiter. He seated me and I ordered my coffee and worked from my laptop. The decor and vibe gives me Cuba. They were playing jazz music so it's nice and relaxing. Also, the coffee is good. Nothing special though it's pretty standard. They have a whole lunch menu, they have a lot of different juices to choose from and they also appear to have lots of sweets (cakes, cheesecakes and pastries). I loved it! It's far from me, but whenever I'm in the area and need to do some work or I'm catching up with a friend I will make an effort to come here...and maybe I'll get some food next time! I used to come quite often with friends because I liked the place but what a disappointment today ... We were 4, the waitress keep asking us if we wanted to order food for the breakfast. Then a second came to ask again so we order 2 cakes that were clearly not good. We did not ate them. 2 friends join us and they ask us to move because the table is too small for 6 people, the waitress told me that she will find a solution, after 10 minutes we move the table so can be 6 on the table and have a friend order a coffee, juice and fruits. The waitress came back saying that she can accommodate us on the patio (it is 36*C outside and 90% humidity ...) or she cannot. And she said that as we do not order food she cannot accommodate us more .... Well for sure the 6 of us will never go back there. Such a disappointment! read more

I didn't make it past the parking lot before the waiter came outside and asked me if I was eating here. I replied yes if they were open, he told me a mask was required which I had with me OF COURSE. He told me there was no seating inside which is fine I wanted to sit outside, I asked to place my bike I. The back corner where it wouldn't disturb anyone. The attendant was super rude and continued to bombard me with instructions. I waited to be seated because all the chairs to the table were stacked up and I wanted to respect their social distancing guidelines. I asked him to seat me and he gave me further major attitude. I picked up my things and left before we got seated because it was honestly so unbecoming to be treated so poorly for no reason. We packed up and headed to IRONSIDE KITCHEN. Terrible Service. Unfortunately, this place can have potential but the owner/staff just make this place unpleasant to visit. We just moved to the area and thought it would be neat to have our go to place to walk to for a bite every now and then. The couple of times we've been here the owner (female) always has an angry face. She doesn't greet the guests and just lets the guests stand around not knowing what to do. There isn't a specific hostess and both times we've waited until one of the staff members finally decided to greet us. Places like these make you realize that management is key. If the owner is unhappy to be there, this sets the tone for the rest of the staff too. Customers should not feel like they are an inconvenience. If the owner dislikes the service industry, then why chose to start a restaurant business? The food is fine, but the restaurants exterior needs improvements. First, La Social is clean and cozy. There is indoor and outdoor seating either seating Is comfortable. The breakfast menu has wonderful selections as does the lunch menu. I ordered the vegetable omelet. It is not the usual bloated omelet large enough for four people. It is slim and loaded with fresh vegetables with a side of salad and fruit and a buttery croissant as well. My son had the Kings Plate which included pancakes. The pancakes were made with Greek yogurt and delicious However, One aspect of this restaurant is very disheartening. On closer inspection of my bill I see that I was charged $2.50 for what I assume to be tap water having cucumbers and limes floating in it. I didn't notice this on the menu but it is there under "drinks". Additionally I was charged $.75 for a minute pitcher of milk. Who charges extra for milk??? I'm not cheap but these additional charges for water and a thimble of milk is not a way to do business in my book. read more

Food & service were excellent. Went for breakfast with my husband and 2 year old daughter. Very generous portions, and the food was fresh & perfectly executed. The ambiance is lovely- lots of big windows with bright natural light. My hubs had the kings breakfast (eggs, pancakes, bacon & side greens) and he said all of it was excellent. He's very particular about his bacon and usually skips the salad, but he literally wiped that plate clean! I had the Caprese omelette & it was delicious, and huge! Mine also came with a side salad and croissant, which were yummy, but the star of the show was the guava and cinnamon jam/compote!! Wowza! It's a must have. I used to love this place . cute decor and the food is good but the last couple visit I would have to say it would probably be my last. Service was terrible! Food took forever to come out and where's the chef ? the food is not consistent like it used to be. The staff know the service was terrible but didn't really do anything about to but apologize. I hate to say that they used to be good but now it's seems like they just let it run on it's own with no management or anyone to check quality control . My server was so out of it , she doesn't seems like she wanted to be there . she sent my food to the wrong table , let it sat there for awhile (while I watch) and then finally bring it back to me . who want that ?!? anyway i wish they would stay consistent but I guess it's not it in this case .
