Saw this place pop up on Facebook and we'd been looking for an old school Italian place. It far exceeded our expectations! Everything from the main course to the desserts were perfection. Many restaurants tend to be overly seasoned and sauced, but everything was exactly right. And restaurants tend to taste like restaurants but the vision is had was someone's Italian grandmother back in the kitchen. We live in Vacaville, but that won't keep us from coming back. This place has a warm ambiance complete with white tablecloths and napkins but the food is what you came here for in the first place. If you want a no BS Italian food that tastes good and reasonably priced. La Strada is the place to go. The lamb ossobuco is a must if they have this on the weekend. It's very tender and tasty. My husband absolutely loves this dish. You won't be disappointed. I have tried the chicken Marsala the most and also the seafood linguine. Both were very tasty. We were touring a nearby wedding venue and decided to stop for some italian on our way out. Very nice hole-in-the-wall spot with beautiful indoor decor! One of my favorite spots in Napa county! The food is Delicious and the service is Top Notch. The management and staff are super friendly and go out of their way to ensure that your dining experience is excellent. One of the things that I really like about La Strada is that it doesn't have the stuffy vibe of some other restaurants. It's a family style restaurant, very personable. There's been a few times where I've come in off peak hours and the staff would all be having a meal together. I've even joined them a couple times! That says a lot and that's why I keep coming back (Been a regular customer for about 15 years now. Because of that I always recommend this place to friends and family when they come into town. They also have a pretty decent outdoor seating area if you want to eat outside. Speaking of outside, if you come for a meal on Sunday, be prepared for the Flea Market crowd. It is adjacent to a large lot (Vallejo-Napa Flea Market lot) and it can be crowded. They have their own dedicated parking area, just be prepared for a lot of activity. Lastly, they are one of the very few restaurants that offer a cannelloni. Theirs is veal and it is DELICIOUS!!!! Give them a try, I doubt you'll leave disappointed. read more

An unassuming place located right on the highway, we had a great dinner experience at La Strada. We came here for a rehearsal dinner and our party of 14 had a spacious table reserved in the back. The service was very attentive all night long - the staff was quick to take our orders and the food came out shortly afterwards altogether. They started us off with some bread - the bread baskets had 2 different kids of bread in it, a focaccia and a sourdough. The sourdough was on point - perfectly crusty and so amazing with a dab of butter smeared on top. We then had the calamari and greek salad as appetizers for the table to share and then we all got a choice of a limited option of mains. I chose to sit at the bar and ran into some locals. A good sign your are in the right spot. I ordered a marinara dish with sun dried tomatoes and had them cut up and add Italian sausage. Too bad they had no draft choices, but enjoyed my Peroni. The only change I would have made is orders another veggie option then the dinner salad. It's conveniently located right off the main road leading into Napa with plenty of parking, a large dining room, and covered patio with heaters. The service was great from the moment we entered until we left. Casual dining with very professional staff that know their menu and know how to provide quality service. We each ordered a local glass of wine and enjoyed the two types of complimentary bread with a garlic oil. For my dinner, I had the Fettuccine con Pesto with chicken and my colleague had the Chicken Parmesan. Both meals arrived quickly and were fresh/hot! We both really liked our meals and the portions weren't over the top massive while still being more than enough. We both thought if we added a salad, we wouldn't have been able to finish it. Celebrated multiple family birthdays this past Saturday. Our little party of 8 gathered at La Strada for a nice Italian lunch. As always, my sister was the party-planner and picked an excellent place. Right of Highway 29 with plenty of parking, it is very easy to find. She reserved outdoor seating and the day was perfect for it. Our server Jose was on-pointe throughout our entire lunch. Our family tends to enjoy long, leisurely lunches and the good folks at La Strada were very accommodating. The services was excellent and we were well attended. Came here on a Friday night for a family dinner. Was easy to make a reservation and was sat immediately. Plenty of seating area and looks to get very busy during dinner service. Service was very friendly and attentive. We all ordered different pastas and found that it seemed to be pretty bland but tasted decent when we added some salt. A very traditional choice for a nice Italian meal! I went during lunch and there wasn't much staff but they were all friendly. Lunch crowd was mainly older people in their 60s+. Music is very low, wish it was slightly louder, I didn't have lunch company but not a deal breaker. More importantly, the bread was nice and warm. The focaccia was delicious! I ordered Gnocchi where you could choose your own sauce. I chose the meat sauce with a side of Alfredo sauce because you never know what your preference will be. The Gnocchi was good, not pillowy. Before, during and after pandemic, we have been dining at La Strada. During pandemic we dined at their outdoor dining in the back with nice plants. Parking was easy. The restaurant was spacious and clean. Except the bathroom that needed some cleaning as we were the first customer. I brought it to the server's attention and she immediately attended to it. After my mom's doctor's appointment, we celebrated my mom's 92nd belated birthday (4th of July) at La Strada. My mom & her caregiver ordered the Salmon Lemon Dill, my sister ordered the special lunch Pollo Saltimboca. In the past my husband & my sister used to order the La Strada Cheeseburger so I ordered. The burger was moist and the bread was toasted good that you heard the crunching when you bite the burger. They all said the food was delicious. We were full for dessert but the server Olivia gave my mom a complimentary tiramisu cake with a candle. That was nice of her remembering my mom's birthday when we told her in the beginning.
