First time here. Very uncomfortable I asked if the Huarache was on the menu because I couldn't find it and the girl goes "ehhh, I don't know. But like err what? you wanna know how much it is or like what?" I felt so uncomfortable. How do you NOT know what's on the menu? We ordered 2 plates and a large drink. It was 25 dollars. No prices on anything. We waited 30 minutes!!! Meanwhile, the two girls are bossing this boy around. Bickering who is gonna sweep and who is gonna mop. Bad vibes. Very uncomfortable. The little overweight girl was so mean to this boy. Poor boy, he was sweeping with a little broom that was half his size.He went to grab the dust pan and the other girl literally growled with frustration because the boy was using the dust pan. Like OMG!! This is so awkward. I just want my food. Once I got my food, it was so small. For 12 bucks the portions were not right. They give you salsa, with no chips. Weird. Also we asked when do they take last call for food and the girl seemed confused. "You mean like on the phone?" "Like today er like what?" She then says "umm like 9:40".... I love going to this place on the weekends but today i went in the morning for breakfast and was highly disappointed!!! There was a set of twins that were terribly rude! They were inpatient while i looked at the menu then when i did order also rude, i asked if they could refill my coffee and they never did asked for water and they never gave me any i tend to go in the afternoon and they young lady's that work are awesome sweet and nice! I happened to be in Santa Paula around lunchtime and stopped in here. I was really impressed with the food and the service. I'm not a big fan of cilantro and really liked the salsa because he didn't have a lot of cilantro in it. The next time I'm in Santa Paula looking for a good place to eat I will definitely stop in here again. read more

I've been coming here for YEARS! I moved over 10 years ago, but whenever I'm in town I have the hard-shelled chicken tacos (finger-licking-good). The restaurant is always clean and has a cute little outdoor patio you can enjoy your food and the view of Main St. It's a great place to bring the family and at a good price. I wish they had a salsa bar, with 'rabanos' and 'pepinos' and that would be the cherry on top, but other than that, I got to say I love this place :) read more

As a family, we decided to try it out. The service was fairly fast and tasty. Unfortunately, when I finished my Horchata I noticed there were some bugs in my drink at the bottom. We saved them and showed the owner. All he did was deny they were bugs even though they had heads, bodies and legs. He never would admit they could have come from his process to make the Horchata. Our order took a long time.Then the flies kept hovering Our order came wrong, went up to the front to ask them to fix it and they were rude to us and said I had ordered it that way. Good beans and cheese enchiladas. Service was friendly but the chips were super stale and the beef taco shell was greasy and broken so I had to eat the taco with a fork. (Literally, it was broken in half when it came to the table) They put sour cream and thousand island on the salad? Sort of made it seem like a taco burger mix...yuck! read more

The best Mexican food I have had in a while. The enchilada sauce was amazing and the beef taco meat was great. The beans and rice was just like my Abuela's. The chips were fresh and the salsa was spicy but anyone could eat it. Came here for lunch for my first time and was disappointed. I ordered the pastor tacos plate and it was not good. The rice and beans portion is super small and the tortillas were cold and chips and salsa was bad. The chips were stale and salsa had no flavor. Maybe just a bad day! read more

I was craving a shrimp cocktail the other night. Looked at yelp for suggestions and it mentioned this place. Thought I saw a picture of the menu for 10.99 but when I paid for it, I was told it was $13. Opening the bag I saw there were some crackers ,Tapatio sauce, and a 32 ounce styrofoam container. Open the lid to find that it was half full. WTH! This thing had no taste chopped up tomato and onion and A piece of avocado and a shrimp count of 8. Another bad thing was that I ordered it to go over the phone and when I got there I still had to wait 20 minutes. I will definitely not be back to this joke of a restaurant. read more

Overall a variety of good food, inexpensive descent service. I've been coming to this location with the fam for years now. I don't understand why others critic it as being expensive. You get a great amount of food for what you pay. They now have a guy playing music inside which for me is a bust. I enjoy having conversations with the people I go with but because of the music that's hard to have. I prefer not listening to music or karaoke while eating out. They do offer the option to eat inside or out. So on those warm sunny days it works great eating outside. I love that when you walk in their menu is pictures of the meals. You're not wondering what it has or what it may look like. I've tried pretty much all the dishes on the menu but by far my favorite would be the tostada suprema and cóctel de camarón y pulpo. Their crunchy tacos with chicken meat have become my guilty pleasure there. This place has become a favorite of mine!
