Great food, Great service. Staff is amazing and hardworking. The Chicken sorrientino is great! owners Brett and John are great.

Well after years of just driving past this place we decided to give it another chance. The restaurant and patio are beautiful. The service is great. The food just doesn't cut it. An Italian restaurant that can't cook pasta properly may as well close their doors and shut down. The two pasta dishes we had were completely overcooked. The pasta just sort of turned to mush with one chew. To make it worse, the dishes were completely drowned in sauce which rendered them almost inedible. How can a place be in business this long without being able to cook the most basic meals? Seems to me that very few restaurants in Rockland actually have trained chefs in their kitchen and I'm sure this place is no different. This place has amazing potential, just get a chef who knows what he/she is doing and pay attention to the details. read more

Had my nieces baby shower here. This was such an amazing place to have a shower. The food was great the service was wonderful. These people went out of their way to make sure everyone was happy. I recommend that everyone look into having a party here. read more

I have eaten at this reataurant on numerous occasions and find the food average. Portion size is good, presentation is tasteful and usually the service is adequate. I have found the owner, however, to be harsh and uninviting and after a recent encounter where he publically scolded me, I vowed never return to this establishment. Have been here many many times to eat dinner and for family events. This place is so plain to me, none of the food sticks out as wow. It's the kind of food you expect from your average Joe Schmo pizza place that serves pasta dishes. Service has always been decent for us though. They have a bar when you walk in, and several rooms for dining and catering. Decor is so so, easy parking, average prices, again nothing special. Was very happy last time our family chose a different italian restaurant in congers to host a family event, so much better there. I would advice you to skip this place and try another italian restaurant on Main Street or the area. If you have grown up on home cooked italian food, the food here is a joke. read more

Had a business lunch / meeting yesterday and the restaurant and staff did not disappoint. I enjoyed the house salad with dressing on the side, and broiled salmon with vegetables. Delicious. Salmon was broiled to perfection. Dessert was disappointing.. don't waste time ordering the double chocolate fudge cake, save your calories. Tasted frozen and abit like cardboard. Dont let the dessert sway you. Prices are reasonable and food is always good. read more

Probably the best place to eat Italian food in the area. Wonderful staff and amazing food lead to a great experience despite being a bit pricey. If you want the definition of brain dead cooks, and owners, this is your place. The sauce is horrible, the calamari is not calamari, and I don't think anyone who owns this place is Italian. I've been here over 10 times over the last decade and always been dragged there by others who haven't been there yet and who said to try it again, and each time it's worse and worse and everyone agrees with me. I don't know how this place is still in business. This place reminds me of macaroni grill. A group of ladies took our 90-year old friend to celebrate a lunch a few weeks ago and we ordered individually off the menu. Although every one of the ladies was pleased with her selection the ones that ordered the Chilean Sea Bass were delighted with it, even though some had never tasted it before! Our waitress was delightful and helpful and helped to make the lunch even more festive. I suppose I should write a separate review, but many of the local Red Had Ladies' groups have also eaten here many times. My group is always offered a nice selection and from soup to nuts, everything is always great! And the cost is very reasonable! Can't speak for the other groups, but I never hear any complaints so all of them must be happy, too. read more

Just came home from having my daughter's baby shower here and they really exceeded my expectations. Everything was so easy. I had brought my own decorations and place cards which they helped with. They provided lots of balloons. The waitresses were more than willing to help set up and make things run smooth. Food was very good, the cake was excellent. Based upon its closeness to home and the quality of the food and service, this is one of my favorite places in Rockland County. I noticed another review that spoke of its being uneven in quality. I've never experienced that. To me, the food is consistently good; the menu is varied; the service is always polite, friendly, and efficient, and the prices are very reasonable. My only caveat regarding this place is that they have become a very popular *catering venue. Therefore, you will want to check on what parties are booked for the night you wish to dine there because it can get noisy when there is a celebration going on near where you are trying to have a comfortable dinner. But aside from this one bit of advice, I can confidently say that La Terrazza is certainly worth a try if you've never been there before as well as being a place that is worthy of many return visits. *Incidentally, we've had catered parties there too. I am a frequenter of this restaurant for over 10 years. The service and ambiance wavers depending on which owner is overseeing the place. Tonight, for the last time I ordered take out and it was not even close. Happens frequently .Called bar tender to express my concerns and got an " Oh well". REALLY? This is our neighborhood go-to restaurant for great comfort foods. Our favorite dishes are The French Connection (trio of jumbo shrimp, filet and chicken francese over angel hair pasta), penne with vodka sauce, and the veal chop Milanese. Love this place and Brett & John are two amazing gentleman. Whether it's a quiet dinner, family gathering, reunion, or special occasion, we have hosted so many parties over the last 20+ years. I came in several days ago for the first time, and the meal I had was, without a doubt, one of the top three worst meals I've ever eaten in my entire life. The amount of time we had to wait for our food was way too long given how quiet the restaurant was when we arrived. In fact, people who were seated after us were most of the way through their entrees before our appetizers even came out. Our server, although friendly, clearly was not in sync with the bussers or the kitchen, as the service was pretty haphazard. And the food was some of the worst I've ever had. My pasta was absolutely swimming in a pool of sauce, was badly overcooked, and had so little flavor I barely ate much of the gigantic portion I was served. Same goes for the other person I was with; their pasta was just as bad. So were our appetizers, with his not even making it to the table while it was still warm. Based on the other reviews praising this restaurant, maybe I came on an off night for the kitchen and the staff; regardless, I've had better food come out of my microwave, and will definitely not be returning. read more

I come to La Terrazza often. I have been coming since they opened. The food is excellent, the service is great and the employees are friendly. Always meets my expectations. Last night I went for their oysters. They were amazing and the owner gave me an additional six more. I strongly recommend this place and will continue to come back. Never a problem. Ordered a steak - rare. Perfectly prepared and tasted good. Party of 13 (2 children) and the service was excellent. Everyone except one enjoyed their meal , and I sampled the one meal not enjoyed, and I thought it was very good. Desserts were good too. A lot of sharing so many got to enjoy many different desserts. read more

The owner gave our reservation away to another party even though we were on time. Then he told us it would be a twenty five minute wait until he could set up another table. He started throwing the siverware around as he was setting the table. He was like a madman. Needless to say we were shocked at his behavior. I never before went to a restaurant where I was as hungry when I left as I was when I enterred. I can't say that the food they gave me was edible because it was so unpleasant watching him set the table that we eventually left. The owner is extremely rude and I can't believe he is still in business. I would never recommend this restaurant unless you want an awful experience. I have been coming here for years and look forward to each and every dining experience I have. The food is prepared beautifully and served hot and the service is always great. My family has had many special occasions here and each has been handled in a most sensitive way. GOOD FOOD We had a celebration with a large group. Laura took great care of our party. Very attentive. Food was hot and tasty. I ordered pastry and cake as desert but only got the cake. That was fine and I wasn't charged for the pastry but I had to ask several times and was told casually .... 'they didn't delivery it'. If it were me, I would have made sure it arrived and if for some reason it didn't I would have informed the dinner planner. This in no way dismays me from this restaurant. read more

Looking at the list, I imagined their foods was pricey! After going over through the menu, my friend and I determined to divided 50 % on the main dish. Really it sure was a tasty one but I was delighted to see the presentation of the food somehow. What I really experienced about their dishes was that you actually get to taste how clean and delicious their food is, not like other restaurant I've had where they wrap one of their menu up with some mayonnaise and it covers the taste of the food. The breads created the dish even more satisfying due to its buttery taste and gently carried out surface. read more

The owners and waitress (Jeannie) went out of their way to make this a memorable night. Everyone in the wedding party praised this restaurant for their courtesy and professionalism.
