Ok so I went in January 18,2026 @3:00pm So went with my parents who grew up in Azusa ca we always stop by at this restaurant when in the area cause now we live in Victorville so we came to eat and all of us waited to receive our food and literally each one of us received our food all at different times not one of us ate our food together as a family then one of our Burritos came looking dry and old as if they gave us something that was sitting for a while talked to management and he fixed it ver nice man respectful. Then when all of our family was done eating my son had ordered a carne asada plate so I asked 3x to multiple waiters where my order was not once did they come back to tell me what had happened. So I got up to ask the cashier what was taking so long and she told me that it would be not much longer so I waited a few more minutes then I see all of the cooks watching the football game all into the game and not making any food so I go to the register to ask about my food again at this point I was upset but still was trying to be calm I go to the register and tell the girl that the cooks would regather watch the game instead of trying to figure out what happened to my sons order she got rude and tells me to go sit down and to wait til the manager comes out first of all everyone of my family members all done with our meal and still nothing for my son another cashiers walks up and laughs at me and tells me not to be rude and to sit down til her manager comes out I turn around and I see the manager he asked what had happened again so I tell him what happened and I tell him everything and he goes to look up my sons order to find out that they lost his order ( due to watching the football game ) so he tells me that he was would refund me my sons order that he ordered at 3:00 pm and had not received it still at 4:00 pm so he did a refund and it turns out the refund was sent to the wrong order so he gave a unknown customer a refund so when I had to go back up to tell him that the refund was the wrong credit card he looked it up again found the right one and refunded my sons card. (Fixed it) but after all that we ended up having to take my sons food home packed up and took us 1 hour to get home so he could eat his dinner. It was an awful experience. Manager was very nice attended to us but I hope something is done with the cashiers cause that's not how you treat your customers who paid for their orders. Very rude and disrespectful. Also the waiters who say they are going to see what happened to the customers orders and never get a response to let the customer s know what was happening just not good customer service. First the wait that people have to wait for the food and the customer service not good. read more

The food is always delicious. Been coming here with my husband for nearly 17 years. Definitely comfort food. Closed on Tuesdays but open Wednesday thru Sunday. The plates come with Salsa and chips. Great Mexican food in Azusa! Plenty of parking, huge inside seating great for parties or large groups. They have great catering and large group orders with a menu for it next to the original menu. Matthew who was the cashier when ordering was very kind and humorous and had some great food suggestions. The quesadilla was tasty and paired well with carnitas and salsa. Very affordable as well around $8. Chips and salsa were a generous amount for $3. And the tacos were decent. Plenty of menu options and the plates range from 13-20$. I've been eating La Tolteca chips, beans, rice, chips, tamales and salsa since the 1980's and I cannot honestly say since their expansion a while back the quality of their food and service has not compromised. Every staff member goes above and beyond to accommodate and has the best manners. I don't traditionally sit down and eat in the dining room as more often than not, we pickup. The product being dished out of the kitchen is quite good, especially if you consider the sheer volume that the staff are serving out (any given dinner service there's 100+ people in and around the joint). I had the asada quesadillas which was $10+ change, amazing bang per buck in 2023. It came with fresh chips n salsa + a cold glass of water. They have a full bar where you can order drinks from or you can order them directly from the cashier with your food. The chips and salsa are one of their staples here. Okay let me start off by saying I have been eating here since birth. Yes 46 years. Many people have that history with this institution. I order the same thing every time. For 46 years. So I get a beef enchilada plate and add a chicken enchilada to that same plate. I eat the meat inside the enchilada first. Then I chow down the tortilla. Then I mix the rice, beans and red sauce left over on my plate. Then I add two saucers of salsa and chucky guacamole and mix it all together. Then because chips and salsa are refill infinity here. This restaurant is very large and has a lot of seating. I order a wet carne asada burrito and it was very large. It didn't come with any sides like some other options but it was very big. I liked the chips they provide but the salsa was very mild. It took some time to get our order but it wasn't packed, so I can only imagine how long it would take if you came during a busy time.
