Food was , best chicken enchiladas I've had in a long time. The Paloma I had was also excellent.

The service.. the food.. honestly I don't live in Sedona but this place is worth the drive. This is my new regular spot!!

Truly the worst meal. We ordered the Fajita. The steak and chicken had the taste and consistency of the lowest quality ingredients, and the sauce was both sweet and tasteless. I ordered a glass of cabernet, which arrived cold from the fridge, and as other reviewers have noted, the bar service was very slow. We stumbled upon La Vecina on Yelp, and though it didn't have many reviews, we decided to give it a shot--and we're so glad we did! The food was nothing short of incredible. Coming from NYC, we've had pretty subpar Mexican food, but this place was truly amazing. We ordered the veggie nachos and the vegetable burrito, both of which were delicious, but the real standout was the veggie fajitas. They were absolutely phenomenal--bursting with flavor and slightly sweet, which we loved. We still rave about them to our friends and family! The service was just as impressive. Our waiter was kind, attentive, and accommodating when we asked for a few modifications to our dishes. He went to the kitchen to check if our requests were possible and was incredibly patient throughout. La Vecina exceeded all our expectations, and we can't wait to go back! read more

No one waited on us for about 10 minutes, had to flag down another table's server who was kind enough to take our order. Food then came out before our drinks. Margarita was great. It is a fun atmosphere, but very disappointing after so many good reviews. The hostess was nice, we did not wait long to be seated. Our waiter wasn't rude, but seemed blah and made some mistakes. He took everyone's drink order, but only brought out my drink, us assuming oh he'll be back with the rest after several moments the rest of the table had to give their drink orders again. I ordered the sope special. It was bad, I ended up just eating some of the topped items on the sope. The sope dough was hard, flavor was bad. My husband ordered a bean and cheese burrito, he said it wasn't the greatest. I know it's a bean and cheese burrito but he said the flavor was very bland. My daughter ordered the carne asada plate. She said it was okay. Our starters of quac, and also queso got there the same time the mains got there so we didn't really enjoy them. Also our queso wasn't something you could dip, it was more of a flour tortilla pizza with diced tomatoes on it. We came from California to visit Sedona and decided to stop by this restaurant. The service was not up to par. The servers completely ignored us the whole time. Every time we come to Sedona we visit the vault and the manager on Saturday let us know that la vecina is their sister property so we had to check it out! We went for Sunday lunch and the service was great as were the food and drinks. We got the ceviche and the enchilada skillet- both were delish. For drinks we tried a cucumber Marg and some sort of guava drink that my wife and I loved. We sat outside with some great views of the red rocks. We are excited to add this place to our list of repeat restaurants when we are in Sedona. read more

I hadn't been to Sedona in a couple of years. I found that Oaxaca change owners to La Vecina but we still tried it. Inside no longer had that colorful atmosphere and had lost the vibe that Oaxaca owners had had in there. It looked like the new owners had no heart to decorate the place. It was boring. Tables and chairs. I ordered shrimp fajitas, which were drenched in oil. My husband ordered Chile rellenos. The Chile inside was undercooked. He had two bites and left his plate untouched. The cheese was nasty, too. The rice they served didn't taste fresh. My hubby even told the waitress the food was bad and she just smiled, said she was sorry and walked away and didn't offer to exchange for something else. $52 for some of the worst Mexican food ever. We will never go there again. If your going to take over a restaurant that sits in a prime spot where people all over the world visit, please decorate inside to give people a great vibe of our Mexican culture. If your going to make Mexican food, have someone that cooks with absolute love for Mexican food. Make the green chilies correctly. If you truly know Mexican food, you will know this place is not great food. Our trip to Sedona was amazing, the only fly in the ointment was this restaurant. Never ever again. Absolutely delicious! In town for the weekend and we went two days in a row, it was warm and welcoming. Service was amazing to say the least. The staff was attentive and quick to serve the guests. The drinks were amazing, highly recommend the big margarita, bartender John makes them extra good! The food came quick and it was hot and ready to be enjoyed! If you are staying in Sedona or passing through and enjoy Mexican food this is the place for you and you should not skip! Great vibes and better grub, you will leave in good spirits and with full bellies without missing the energy or views of beautiful Sedona. We made reservations and asked to be on the balcony, and they put us in a little private area, which was a great surprise for us. The staff were really friendly and the food was delicious! We were also pleasantly surprised by the beer selection, not a ton of choices, but more than you would normally get at a Mexican restaurant. We had the IPA which we would definitely get again. Watch out and try not to have too many of the delicious chips, salsa and guacamole, cause you will not be able to eat your dinner. We are from California and are very familiar with Mexican food. I didn't think the food was very flavorful. Our friends came and visited us from Maryland and we took a trip to Sedona and decided to stop here for our first night out. The drinks and food were delicious! So fresh and so flavorful.
