bread & olive oil and limoncello
Hannah J.

Food: Absolutely delicious! We have shrimp cocktails for our appetizers and the shrimp was fresh- cocktails sauce amazing. For entrees we ordered Pesto Linguine & Chicken Arrabbbiata. Both Phenomenal. (The bread & olive oil was super yummy too) Service: Donte was great! Very attentive, welcoming & helpful. Ambience: We decided to sit outside- very enjoyable. You can still hear some music while outside & the sidewalk is wide enough to not feel overwhelmed by people walking by constantly. 10/10 would recommend dining here.

White sauce mussels appetizer

The atmosphere is a bit more bar-like than fine dining. There is a big menu which makes some people happy because there are a lot of choices. But people like me say you cant have all that on the menu and have it all come out the best. Ordered the mussels appetizer and they were good! The bread they give you with the meal is good for mopping up the generous sauce. It was delightful! The main course was the risotto. Which to be honest was a bit salty. The highlight was the mussels though.

One of the best Italian restaurants I've ever been to. Our waitress, Stacey, was fantastic. Incredible food and service. Atmosphere outside was lovely and made for a memorable evening!

Delightful lunch today at La Verona, where we were cheerfully greeted and received a table next to the window to view State Street. Our server was friendly, kind, and attentive, while we had Italian-style dishes. My grilled chicken was spot on with grilled flavour and the bread nicely seasoned with herbs and oil. Dipping bread and oil was a great appetizer, and one of the few times I went for bread, as it was both soft and warm. We'll have to check out dinner next time!

This is my favorite Kennett Square restaurant. The food is fabulous and the owners and staff are wonderful! This is how it's done!

I have been to La Verona serveral times and had an incredible experience but unfortunately dining out is not the way to go with this reaturant! We should have known from the beginning that things were not going to go well. When calling in our order, the person ended the call by just hanging up. They did not tell us the price or how long until the order would be ready. With over eight of us ordering, we had quite a selection, but overall the takeout was underwhelming. The biggest take away was the bruschetta portion. We were shocked to see only three small crostini's come with the bruschetta. I'm hoping this was just a bad take out experience and not an overall experience!

light lunch of soup and sandwich. we both enjoyed a cocktail as well. food and drinks both great, service is lacking. i do not like to feel like an imposition by asking for items. we both requested water and salt and pepper. the view to the street is nice from the bar area. i don't think i would enjoy dining in the dining room as well as i did the bar,

Fantastic dining spot with a great location and a delicious menu. The location is right on the busy main drag of Kennett Square, and includes a number of great shops, cafés, and other places worthy of spending a few hours strolling around. We love coming here for date nights and we particularly enjoy the chicken dishes. This includes the chicken piccata, and the chicken marsala, both of which are served with a delectable, sip-worthy sauce. The steamed vegetables and mashed potatoes on the side, complement both dishes amazingly. For an appetizer, we highly recommend the lobster bisque and/or the fried mozzarella. The prices are competitive, and we find the food is just as enjoyable, if not better, than pricier options in the area. The servers here are incredibly nice and attentive. We never went more than a few minutes without someone checking on us. The ambience is cozy and laid-back during non-peak hours, but gets a bit livelier and louder during peak times. Depending on your preference, you may want to schedule accordingly. We love La Verona and cannot wait to return.

We loved our experience at La Verona. The meal and service were great. We'd recommend this restaurant to anyone, and hope to visit again. Our experience did not have the best start, but that was quickly forgotten. We reserved through Open Table, and the email from them said parking was across the street but really it was about a block away around the corner. After we finally found the garage, we arrived at the restaurant and the host seemed overwhelmed and wasn't the most friendly. I assume they might be short staffed, and it seemed to be a busy night. Once we got to our table, everything was wonderful. Our waiter was kind, attentive, and enthusiastic. He explained the specials with great style and energy. The timing of our courses was perfect, it wasn't slow but we never felt rushed. We started with the Artichoke appetizer, and I could not recommend this enough. We loved the artichokes and the way they were prepared, and were impressed by everything else that accompanied them. For dinner, I had linguini frutti di mare which was excellent, and my fiancé had the chicken parm which was very good as well. My fiancé did order a salad which was forgotten and left on our bill, but our waiter took care of that quickly and with apologies. Finally for dessert, another highlight in a meal full of highlights, we had the tiramisu and the lemoncello dessert. Both were spectacular. We also had a nice cup of coffee, and I appreciated that our waiter took special care to make sure my coffee was the decaf I ordered. Overall, a wonderful evening and we hope to come back !

Not one, or two but Six came with appetizer, like I said, we were there to eat!! Tempted by the creative menu and the numerous seafood dishes, we opted to keep it old school, chicken cutlet parmigiana!!! A massive cutlet covered with love and a thick layer of oozing hot parmigiana. Fantastic! The cutlets came with a rustic bowl of penne in a tantalizing blush sauce and kissed with some yummy cheese shavings. Completely full, I was unable to explore dessert but I happily managed to cleanse my palette with a complimentary shot of homemade lemoncello which was like a goodbye hug from a staff that was welcoming and attentive throughout our meal. Purchasing the suggested pairings (ahead of time) added to the overall experience. We also had wines that were brought on preference and the paired wines won out every time as they perfectly complemented the prepared courses. Our two servers were friendly and attentive, explaining every course and refilling our wines without asking. Present, yet out of the way. The atmosphere is very cozy in the back of the cafe at Talula's Table - the original table as opposed to the smaller kitchen table added a few years back. Reservations still take a year (though it's easier to snag a cancelation or weekday as they recently added online reservations in April 2026). However, it was well worth the wait (and I'm not sure why I waited so long to try it)! We left stuffed between the hors d'oevres, eight courses, bread, surprise course, and plenty of wine to wash everything down. We experienced the Spring 2026 menu and look forward to dining again in another season.

We initially planned to have dinner at the restaurant, but our GPS led us to the adjacent sports bar with the same name. We were seated at a high-top table near the bar and greeted by our friendly server. The menu was similar to the restaurant (I think), but regardless, we were looking for pizza and a beer. They offer two styles of crust: NY-style and Neapolitan. We ordered a cheese pizza with the latter wood fired crust. Our pizza arrived in a reasonable amount of time and was fine. The crust was not as light as I thought it should be. The pie was a good size and plenty for both of us. Service was great the entire evening, and we enjoyed our meal.

I wasn't sure what to make of it as I would have expected a full house on a Saturday night. I'm going to start with a few opportunities. First, the initial glass of water I was brought was not clean. There was literally some food on the side of it. Second and keeping on the topic of water, the waiter did not come back to fill empty glasses of water. Next, I was looking forward to the tomato garlic bread but it was hard when I but into it. Finally, my counterpart ordered a burger and after eating about half of the burger, each bite was like biting into a pallet of salt. It was like someone accidentally spilled a salt shaker so he obviously couldn't finish it. On the positive side, the place was quiet which was nice, the manager (or maybe it was even the owner) when we asked for more water bought us a carafe so we didn't run out again (which I love), and also when we left I accidentally forgot my takeout container on the table and again the manager (or owner) ran out after us to get it to us which I appreciated so much. Relative to the food, it was average (minus the salt side of the burger which was not good). The soft pretzel appetizer was good and I had lasagne which was decent enough. I will say it was a huge lasagne portion (two squares)! Overall, I'm not sure I'd go back with so many other options.

And they have pizza and BBQ on the weekends to take home. Think of it as a mini DiBruno's or Carlino's and you get the idea. Being lazy and hungry we decided to try the newly renovated cafe for a take out lunch last Saturday. My wife enjoyed a gourmet grilled cheese sandwich with apples that was pretty good. I decided to try the signature grilled rib eye steak sandwich. It's not like a steak sandwich but a big, sliced steak in a sandwich. I ordered it rare (of course) and it's served on a steak roll with lettuce, tomato, and basil mayo and a side of French fries. It was delicious and cooked perfectly and I would get it every time. At $19 it's not cheap (and it's messy to eat with stuff dripping and slipping everywhere) but it's like having an actual steak and a sandwich all in one. I would gladly eat this every time I go there. You can eat inside the cafe or they have a couple of (rusty) tables outside where you can nibble (and in my case dribble). We also took home a mini frozen Shepards pie (just ok) and some big type of big beans (pretty good) from the charcuterie. It's a great option for some meats, eats, and cheeses if you want to save yourself a trip to West Chester, Ardmore, or Philly.
