Haven't come here in so many years. Came on. saturday party of 4 wound 5 pm pretty busy was offered outside seating but we decided to wait no problem we weren't in a rush. Sat in a pretty big round table near the bathroom. I feel the menu changed since last time or maybe I don't remember. But we used to get the fresh mozzarella with basil , tomatoes and glaze and I count find it or maybe it was worded differently nonetheless we ordered calamari. My family said they were ok. Me and my husband ordered the lasagna it took so long to come but again we understood it was busy. It was worth the wait so delicious. The girls had a pizza they absolutely loved it. I had pinot grigio nice cold and refreshing. My husband first got a stella on draft then got a old fashioned he said it was the best he's ever had so that says something. I was in the mood for pasta but I didn't see anything on the menu with something like broccoli and garlic with olive oil. We also saw a few ants but as long as they weren't roaches it wasn't a big deal lol

I would highly recommend this place for a late lunch early dinner to avoid the crowds!

Great date spot in the heart of Park Slope. Pizza is my go-to and never fails to impress me. Service is wonderful. Portions are HUGE!

Stepped in during a dinner rush, but luckily we were able to get seated. They provided focaccia as we were perusing through the menu. The focaccia was pretty bland, but it was a plus that it wasn't just plain bread. There were even two types: an herbed one and an onion one. There was an article about the Romana pizza posted at the front, so we decided on that. It was almost like a calzone but without sauce. It was hearty and satisfying. The potatoes had an almost creamy texture after being baked in olive oil. There was an ample amount of cheese that oozed out of each cut slice. The pepperoni and sausage provided the saltiness to the pizza. The crust was perfectly charred on the bottom. However, it is a bit tough to cut through the slices with their knives. We were worried that it wouldn't be enough, so we got an penne alla vodka pasta as well. The pasta was okay. Very much cheesy and smothered in sauce, but nothing too special. The portions are huge. One regular sized pizza can satisfy two people. Therefore, you also won't be spending over $30 per person on food. If you decide to just get pizza, you might be able to spend less than $20 per person. We didn't end up getting dessert because we were so stuffed. I ended up having leftovers for about 2 meals. If you ever find yourself in the neighborhood, La Villa is a prefect place to satisfy your hunger.

Penne ala vodka with 5 shrimp $41dollars that's crazy.

Amazing place! One of the best restaurants on 5th Avenue. The margarita pizza is great and so is the house salad. The service is great.

We come to sit, talk, share stories, our personal experiences and of course sip a fabulous beverage. I'm seeing this more and more as I visit fabulous coffee places.. Konditori, Villager, Bakeri, Hidden Grounds, and now Velvette Brew. First, the space: light, airy and I can imagine with their big windows, a sun soaked place on a sunny day. There are plenty of seats: tables and high top tables. Their menu offers a bit of everything from soup, sandwiches, quiche and pastries. There is a nice option of beverages hot/cold. Today, was a bit damp so I ordered a hot chai with bite size checkerboard cookies to dip. The barista was very pleasant and I found a seat while waiting for my chai. I see a lot of patrons working in laptops, some meeting up to talk and sip and even the barista chatted with a local patron. Love it! My chai was piping hot and absolutely delicious. The chai was frothy, rich, the black tea leaves infused with cinnamon, ginger, cardamom, cloves, sweetener, and milk. I savored every sip and complimented the barista. It is always great to find a new coffee place. I expect to be a loyal local at Velvette Brew. They also host music events and have a collaboration with Cry Baby Ice Cream. It is located in the heart of Park Slope. There are plenty of shops and restaurants nearby. Velvette Brew 279 5th Avenue B63 to 3rd and 5th or R to Union Street, 10 minute walk.

I haven't tried them all, obviously -- too many coffee shops -- but what I have tried, and come back to, over and over, is the products of the amazing team at Posto. It's not just about the skillfully made drinks or the balance of flavors, the fresh, Italian-style coffee or the filled-to-order Italian donuts and Maritozzos (iykyk) -- it's the overall ambience. You come here to put down the screen and enjoy the moment. So often do we rush through our coffees, or even bring them to meetings, at the beck and call of the city's hustle. But at Posto the kind, talented, customer-first team asks you to slow down and escape all of that, to savor every sip of coffee in the classic Italian style. Walking in feels more like a poem than a cafe. Gone are the transactional, disingenuous "how are you's" and instead you get to discover all sorts of fun barista (and bar) creations, Tuscan products, and fresh pasta. The servers and owner are always read to provide a recommendation, and like in Italian cafes, they bring whatever treats and drinks you land on to you. (My favorite aperol spritz is also from Posto.) Outside, the peaceful garden hosts two large umbrellas. It's vibrant, as if you're in a neighbor's backyard and they are willing to share a colorful moment with you, birds chirping overhead. As I finished the last drop of my cappuccino this morning, I realized that forty-five minutes had passed, and every sip of coffee was just as good as the last. Thank you!
