Pepitos Especial

Lunch today solo. Pepitos. Awesome! So much food. Is this a two-person dish? I'll be back, but bringing a friend.

Shredded beef, ground beef and chicken empanadas

Delicious food and huge portions (definitely shareable). The empanadas were fantastic - the shredded beef and ground beef were our favorites. Lots to choose from on the menu. Very friendly and attentive staff. It's a nice building with lots of seating and very clean. We will definitely be coming back!

Lomo saltado

Amazing food. My daughter is peaky ester and she loves the burger. The lomo saltado is so tender and juicy.

Patacon Maracucho Especial

One of the restaurants that deserve more attention and recognition in the online community. We were the only ones in the restaurant when we visited, but the food and service were exceptionally amazing. The mini arepas they gave us for free were so good that we were looking at the menu to see if we can actually get more of them. All of our dishes were special and authentic, especially the fried snapper and the Patacon Maracucho. The fried snapper is very crispy and fresh, while the Patacon Maracucho was the perfect combination of plantains, meat, and avocado. Most dishes have avocado slices on them, and we were very satisfied with how fresh they are. The server was very attentive to my requests and was able to get me both protein types for the patacon Maracucho that I ordered (pork and chicken). She also made sure to separate my sauces and gave me extra vegetables One small suggestion for my dish is to lower the sodium levels of the meats, as they were a bit too salty. Overall, highly recommend if you want some authentic Colombian and Venezuelan cuisine.

Vale ..

We started off with a picada and it was nothing crazy. The best thing on the platter was the steak and fried yuca. The blood sausage was definitely old from how dry it was. We got natural juices, both of lulu and guanabana and they were super watered down. They sit In their plastic containers all day and are definitely not made fresh. The cachapa was not good at all, the dough barely had corn and the meat had no flavor. My parents got ceviches that were super salty and they couldn't even finish. I didn't even take a photo of the empanada, because of how bad it was. I'm born and raised in Colombia and I have no idea how this place can say that they're Colombian. Only decent thing about this place is that it's a good place to watch our national team play soccer.

The food was pretty good with generous portions but our server was super slow. Granted she was running the bar as well but the place was almost completely empty. When we arrived there was only one other person at the bar. It took awhile for our server to come around after we got the food she just didn't come back. We were sitting at the table for a good while til she finally mouthed from the bar area "check?" And then we finally got it and were able to pay and leave. Overall food was good but slightly overpriced.

The restaurant is clean and inviting. We were promptly sat. I had an empanada as an appetizer and it was fantastic. Dinner was amazing. We will be back. Super authentic.

Pollo Loko - North Charleston, SC…read more The wife and I stopped into Pollo Loko for a quick lunch, not expecting much... and wow, what a surprise this place turned out to be. First off, the customer service was outstanding. The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and genuinely made us feel appreciated from the moment we walked in. You don't always get that kind of attention these days, so it really stood out. The restaurant itself was spotless, well-kept, and had a great vibe. You can tell they take pride in the place. Now let's talk about the food -- because this is where they really shine. We started with the empanadas, which were absolutely delicious -- fresh, flavorful, and the perfect way to kick things off. For our main, we ordered the Peruvian chicken, served with fries and rice, and it did not disappoint. The chicken was cooked perfectly, packed with flavor, and paired incredibly well with their signature sauces -- seriously, those sauces take everything to another level. Even the salad was fresh and tasty, which says a lot because that's usually an afterthought at most places. On top of that, they've got a great selection of sodas and other drinks, making it a perfect stop for a casual lunch. Bottom line: An unexpected gem with amazing food, top-tier service, and a clean, welcoming atmosphere. **Highly recommend -- 5 stars, 3 thumbs up from us.

I visited here when I was in the area and on the way to the airport. I was hoping they would have…read moreLomo Saltado, but alas they didn't so I just settled on a Carne asada quesadilla and a Jamaica drink. This is a fast casual style restaurant and not a real fancy place. My picky colleague who's never had peruvian ordered the ribs. Quesadiladas - you get 2 in an order and these are different than Mexican ones since they have grilled bell peppers and onions. A bit pricy too...the rice and beans that come with this are just average. They only had 2 salsas for the table, a green ranch like one and a red spicy one similar to a spicy Mexican red sauce. I'm still looking for a peruvian restaurant that has the spicy green sauce that most all peruvian restaurants have in California.

Coffee was good I'll would try it again Service was good…read moreand promptly served Ambiance was good I went there for the apañadas but was not what I expected I'm try breakfast next time

Cute, cozy and quaint cafe. Parked for Free on the street. Not many tables inside, but there were…read morestill open spots for us to sit down. For breakfast, tried the meat lover omelette, egg and cheese, croissant sandwich, and two empanadas (beef and choripan). I liked how all of the dishes were garnished with fresh spinach leaves and an orange wedge, making them look colorful and appealing. My partner enjoyed his omelette, which included chorizo and julienned ham slices. Omelette was presented differently than the typical omelette, with it cooked/shaped as a bowl and stuffed in the middle with fillings. They don't make croissants in the house, but they bake them so it's nice and crispy. It was very filling. Next time I'll add ham to it to give it a salty taste. Empanadas were delicious. Served with a chimichurri sauce. Beef empanada was a little bit on the sweeter side. Their espresso machine was broken so they only had black coffee. Black coffee was alright, nothing special, but, it was nice to drink hot coffee out of a mug, making me feel like I was at home. They have coffee cards, which you hole punch yourself. You get a free coffee after getting 10 hole punches. If you care, your clothes might have a little bit of a cooking smell after being in the café for a while.
