It turned into a disaster (on Grubhub's part...) but the restaurant was communicative and friendly, and really kind when I lost my patience after waiting an hour past my scheduled delivery time - again, not the restaurants fault, but they went above and beyond to take care of me. They remade the food for me, and I came to pick it up. The space is super cute, lovely dining room and very clean. We ordered a banh mi, noodles, and chicken plate. They didn't have the fully load pho with tendon and tripe but it was still delicious. They let us order boba tea from the shop a few doors over and they brought it over(since it's the same owners). Came for Pho - they didn't have the options I like which are with tendon, tripe and flank. So I orders some pork/shrimp spring rolls. I ate them because I was very hungry. Noodles were over cooked. It was very busy yesterday and I understand because they also seem short handed. So we thought the Yelp pics of someone's previous order of their seafood boil looked tasty. I was nervous at first because the menu looked a bit intimidating, so I told the cashier and almost everyone chimed in to recommend where it was best to start. The service I received was a breath of fresh air, such kind staff. It didn't feel like they just wanted to push me out the door and recommend a random item. I mean look at that photo I got a spicy level of 2 and it wasn't overwhelming, you could taste the care they put into making wonderful food. We had date night last night and decided to try this place. I was craving pho but neither one of us wanted to drive to Austin. I had picked up pho here once before and was a little disappointed because the usual vegetables that go with pho was not included... I figured it was an overlook. My husband and I were not sure what to expect but we were pleasantly surprise with the overall experience. It was wonderful from the time we walked in to the last Thank you as we were leaving. The food was great, the atmosphere was wonderful and the service was absolutely first rate. The pho was delicious and both of us were surprise as how much meat was in both of our soups and the egg roll were perfectly crispy. We will be back and are excited to explore more of the menu. Great covid options and precautions (temperature check, masks required) - we even ate al fresco! Husband and I ordered two orders of tofu spring rolls, bahn mi, and a small brisket pho. WOW everything was mouth wateringly delicious! I also ordered their delicious fresh lemonade but will be back because I saw boba on the menu too. We are so glad a Pho place opens up in Bastrop. I ordered the steak and brisket Pho and my husband order the chicken fried rice. My pho was good but we do not care for the chicken fried rice. The rice was very hard and dry. It was under cooked. The whole dish was very bland. They put grilled chicken on the top of the rice and a side of vegetables. It is not what we expected and not what we used to. We will not order fried rice again. The atmosphere is very nice and people are very friendly. read more
