This is amazing, fast, efficient, and made my day a lot better. Who would have guessed there was a hidden gem in Walgreens

She took…read moreme back to the blood draw area where a casually-dressed woman (long hair not tied back, jeans, open shoes) identified herself as an owner. She said the employee that was helping me was in fact a phlebotomy student and asked if I consented to the student doing the draw. I said yes but asked for them to put on masks for this. Apparently this was an absolutely alien request to the owner of a business that also does in-home blood draws. I got a stuttering "we don't have any... we don't keep them..." and then she dared to ask "what is it you're afraid of?" I shouldn't have to identify the risk conditions of myself or my household, but I did, at which point she started asking invasive questions about my blood cancer and assuring me she "understood" because of her sister's cancer -- which she then discussed in detail, tumor locations and all. If you understood, you would have masked from the outset. She even gave me the "stay strong" platitudes even after I explained that mine is chronic, not anything to be "beat," but she was insistent about making the conversation about cancer in general and not her failure to protect me from airborne disease. They did eventually find masks in a supply room and wore them for the draw. I got out of there as fast as possible afterwards. Very unsettling experience overall.

Will not take your insurance. Stop turning Covid into an opportunity to fill your wallet. There's absolutely no reason something as necessary as testing should cost $250 to individuals. Plenty of free testing sites around offering the same exact thing these guys are for little to no cost. Especially with federal programs in place to cover the cost of testing there's no reason to give them even $1 of your money.

I had blood work done this early afternoon at Labcorp inside Summerlin Hospital Medical Center for…read moremy kidney doctor. When I first walked in, I handed the front desk lady my paperwork and was told I needed to fill out the registration. I asked where to do that, and apparently the registration was on an upright iPad near the front. Silly me for missing it. A lot of the people in the waiting room noticed how rude the interaction felt, and several people even commented to me about it afterward. I honestly tried to give grace because she may have been stressed or overwhelmed, and I know healthcare can be difficult. But the reason I'm writing this review is because of Dana, the blonde phlebotomist in the back. She was absolutely wonderful. I hadn't had much water that morning because of an earlier appointment, so finding a vein was a little difficult, but Dana stayed patient, calm, kind, and professional the entire time. She talked with me, joked around a little to help me relax, asked how my day was going, and truly made the whole experience better. Dana has such a beautiful soul and gave me one of the best experiences I've ever had getting blood drawn. Employees like her deserve recognition because they genuinely make a difference in people's days. So while the front experience may not have been ideal, Dana completely turned it around for me. God bless you, Dana -- thank you for your kindness and for making my day better.

In my case, I set a 1030 am appointment and they still couldn't help me even after an hour, so I had to leave. The next morning, I checked in at 715 am, and the online kiosk let me know to return at 9 am to 930 am, since the wait was projected to be over 2 hours and implied that my place would still be kept in line. I did, actually at 855 am, and at about 930 am, still wasn't called. At that time, I went to the counter, asked about it, and was told I lost my place in line. So, 40 minutes later and almost 3 hours after I was first here, I'm waiting for my blood to still be drawn for a Monday doctor's appointment. This place is a disorganized mess and a disaster on all levels. The staff needs more urgency, more people, and you'd have less frustrated patients.

I stood in the hallway trying to figure out where to go, hoping she would come back, and get me. I guess when she didn't see me, she called my name loudly from the room. I had to figure out who called me, and from which room she was in. When I sat down, she immediately told me to hold my arm out, (stiff) and don't move. I was used to being verified first, but I guess they don't do that anymore. I tried to tell Elizabeth that my other arm was better because the vein was more visible, but she cut me off, and said, "Don't move." As I sat there, I could feel the needle moving around in my arm. I asked her what happened. She said, "You moved. I told you to stay still." She spoke to me in a tone that sounded like she was scolding a child. When I told her that she was hurting my arm with the needle, she pulled it out, and walked out of the room. I could hear her asking for help. When Shakira said she would do it. Shakira came in, verified me, then took my blood. She was polite, hospitable, and quick. That is how it should have been done from the beginning. I don't know why Elizabeth was the way she was with me, but it was unacceptable. I will make sure that if I ever come back to this location, she is not my phlebotomist.

Having said that, I've now gone to this Quest twice and had the best experiences I'm capable of having because my phlebotomist Colton is THE best! I have to ask for a reclining chair to avoid passing out and I'm often judged or belittled by nurses etc., but Colton was so warm both times and took me seriously. He is so gentle and quick that I barely feel the poke and he talked with me to keep my mind off of it. He was also very patient and made sure I was feeling ok before he had me stand up. Most folks don't understand how life-changing it can be to find a good phlebotomist - but now I'm able to do blood work so I can stay healthy and take care of myself. The rest of the staff are fast, efficient, and kind. I highly recommend this location and am eternally grateful to my dude Colton for making important bloodwork doable for me. Thank you!

I found a pretty good selection of times even only booking one day ahead. You get a link via text message and can easily check in online once you arrive. There are also kiosks in the waiting area where you can check yourself in. Bear in mind there are no staff to check in with. Once checked in, you sit in the waiting room and follow your progress on a large screen showing checked in appointments and anyone waiting as a walk in. I was taken right at my booked time. Once in one of the back rooms the staff process your insurance and confirm which tests you need. The staff member was very friendly, and the blood draw was basically painless. Overall I was very happy with my Quest experience!
