Absolutely horrible. The food got so much worse, than the last time I was here. We ordered the sampler which was far from the word "edible". The hummus tasted like watery tahini, babba ghanoush was so salty, stuffed grape leaves were definitely out of a can, tabouli had zero lemon and salt, and the falafel wasn't even leafy colored on the inside (dry and tasteless) - every single item was sad. Then we ordered the mix grill- what a waste of appetite and money. The chicken was undercooked, the lamb tasted rubbery with no flavor, and the shish kabob was disgraceful. I swear I thought I was eating cardboard when I put the yellow rice in my mouth. And then the bill came and my oh my- that was the topping on the cake. Fresh and delicious Mediterranean food. The space is large, beautiful and elegant. I was in during an off time so it was pretty empty, but I could see it getting packed out during prime dinner hour. I didn't really look too closely at the menu because I knew I wanted a salad, but from what I could tell Labebe offers all of your standard Mediterranean fare - dips, spinach pie, kebabs, seafood, etc. I went with a Shepard salad which had lots of chopped tomatoes, cukes, herbs and feta cheese. The salad was delicious and the lemon olive oil vinaigrette was fresh. My only complaint was that I wish there were less herbs and more feta. For the $12.00 price tag the amount of feta in the salad seemed a bit sparse. But, the portion was still generous and there were a ton of chopped veggies. I even took some home! The service was prompt and friendly. They did come over to us alot to ask if we were okay. A sweet gesture, but I did feel like they interrupted our meal more often than they should have... especially considering that the restaurant was 99% empty. Overall, this is a great spot for a nice meal out in North Brunswick. There are alot of chains in the area and this is a nice change of pace. My husband and I went there last month and we chose it as our first date together post baby. We ordered the rock shrimp and chicken lollipops to start, my husband got the lamb chops and I got the special ribeye steak that night with the truffle butter. We also ordered a side of truffle fries. The food was amazing! The steak was so nice and soft and really well cooked. Same goes for my husband's lamb. I loved the pomegranate margarita I ordered - so nice and refreshing! We also got the crème brûlée for dessert. Wasn't the best part of our meal, but it was still pretty good. The only downside to the restaurant doesn't really have to do with the restaurant itself, but more on the location. We drove from NYC and the commute was almost 2 hours to go and 2 hours back because of traffic. Leaving our baby for so long was rough and even though we loved the food and would love to dine back, the commute just isn't worth it. I was here with a large group of people and we all like to share each others' appetizers and meals, so I was able to sample a large portion of their menu. I honestly have nothing bad to say. I want the owner, and you the future customer of Lebebe Prime, to know that I am not your average Yelper. I am no stranger to the culinary arts and fine food. I've dined at some of the best and worst restaurants in the world, not just New Jersey. With that said, you must try this. For a Central NJ restaurant the prices are high, but skip all of the other poor restaurants you go to on a daily or weekly basis, save your money for this truly worthwhile dining experience. Eat beans and rice every day for a month at home and then go to Lebebe Prime on the last day of that month. You won't be sorry. We had a wonderful experience at LaBebe on Friday evening. This was our first time at this restaurant for the four of us. It was about a half hour drive but it was worth it. This is a stand alone building with a parking lot and great signage. We were greeted as soon as we walked in by the owner who was extremely grateful that we had come. We were seated immediately to a lovely table in a large room where the tables were nicely spaced. Our Waiter, Mohammed was extremely hospitable and explained the special dishes and daily promotions. We were happy because it was Friday night date night. Each couple can order almost any hot or cold appetizer, their own entree and any dessert for $80. A bottle of wine was only $20. We accepted this promotion and enjoyed a delicious dinner. We had the grilled octopus to start which was scrumptious. Then I had the grilled lamb chops over veggies and potatoes. For dessert we had the Baklava. The wine was great too. Everybody was more than satisfied. The ambiance was lovely and service was spot on. I've been wanting to try this place for sometime so moms birthday was perfect for it. We arrived after lunch but before dinner. So the place was empty. Inside is beautifully decorated, outdoor patio upstairs and downstairs. Seating available upstairs also. Open floor plan. Small but cozy bar. We started with 2 apps, fried calamari (moms fave) and their rendition of spinach pie. Both were delicious, the spinach pie wasnt phyllo dough which was strange but ironically light and filling was tasty. The calamari was light and tender but not that crispy towards the bottom was soggy, the dipping sauce was really good. Now we both ordered Lamb osso bucco. A beautiful bone in slow cooked lamby goodness, the mashed potatoes and fresh green beans( crunchy and flavorful) were on point. The sauce with the mashed potatoes and beans were divine, we both could've eaten a whole bowl of them. The final deliciousness was dessert. Although mom didnt like the baklava, my Lebanese rice pudding was out of this world. Server was attentive but not over bearing. Mom cant wait to go back and try other dishes and quite frankly neither can I. Visited this restaurant last night with my parents and it was excellent. The atmosphere is smart casual (although some people were dressed on the extremely casual side). Beautiful interior decorations. Excellent service. The owner seated us and checked in on us halfway through our meal and we got to chat with him about the history of the restaurant and what it's evolved/evolving into. He has a lot of amazing plans coming to life, and my family is extremely excited for him. The drinks were delicious. And the food was excellent. They give you a basket of freshly baked bread with a house made roasted pepper butter (which was so good we had to push it to the side to save room for the rest of our food. For apps, we started off with the wagyu meatballs (probably the best meatballs I've honestly ever eaten in my entire life- and I grew up around here so I know good meatballs), the Labebe Prime Salad, seafood crudo, and Spanish octopus. All were beautifully plated and delicious. For mains we had the stuffed branzino, New Zealand lamb chops, and the 22oz bone in dry aged cowboy steak. Portions were phenomenal- there were leftovers indeed... and my family rarely has leftovers! We were too full for dessert, although there are some delicious looking options (like an orange crème brûlée?!?). I have been wanting to try Labebe ever since it opened in the summer of 2014. I finally made it there last night and I have one word... YUM!! We were started off with some warm, fresh and delicious rye bread and pita, which was served along side an olive and herb dipping sauce. I normally skip the bread baskets and wait for my meal, but this was too yummy to pass up. For dinner we ordered the special of the day, which was a Surf and Turf (grilled NY strip and shrimp scampi), and the Coriander Crusted Tuna. Both entrees were really good. Surf and Turf doesn't exactly sound Mediterranean, but it was cooked in olive oil, with a hint of lemon and parsley. These ingredients gave the entree a Mediterranean flair. The Tuna was simply delicious and cooked to perfection. Somehow, they obtained a crispy coated outside, yet still retaining a slight pink interior. The accompanying potatoes and vegetables with both entrees were really good too. The ambiance of the restaurant is very hip, modern and trendy with a very open and spacious floor plan. The only thing lacking on this particular night was the service. Our water was never refilled, and we never saw our waitress again after our order was placed. When it came time for the bill, we were given the wrong one. None of this really bothered us too much, because we thoroughly enjoyed our meal. read more

This is a restaurant my family and I have been coming to for the last few years. I think it's one of the best in the North Brunswick area. I am a huge fan of Mediterranean cuisine. All the dishes served here are recipes passed down by the owner's grandmother, Labebe, who grew up in Lebanon. They use fresh, healthy and local ingredients. The dishes speak for themselves. We were looking for a new steakhouse that was close to us as we are tired of trying to find parking in New Brunswick. I booked a table for our family to celebrate Valentine's day. At first I was afraid that it was not super kid friendly but I was wrong. They have a huge mock-tail list and the staff is buzzing around the floor constantly checking on the table and refilling the drinks. My only qualm is that it's a steakhouse but there is no steak option on the children's menu. However my children split the strip steak so no big deal. The owner was present and constantly driving his team, I don't remember the last restaurant I went to where the owner was on the floor making sure the guests were enjoying the place. From the music to the comfortable atmosphere it was great. Even the presentation of the food was done in a way that showed us the staff really care. I have eaten at Labebe on quite a few occasions. Lunch/dinners with friends and both a corporate lunch meal and a corporate dinner. Each visit proved to be enjoyable and delicious! Labebe is beautifully decorated, elegant, trendy brightly lit, and inviting. The waitress was very attentive, Pierre himself came and welcomed us, shook our hands and thanked us for coming. The food was fabulous. Right away, we were served two types of warm bread with lots of olives in oil, but we still ordered the Hummus, Zucchini Fritters and Stuffed Grape Leaves as Appetizers for the four of us. For the Main Course, we had the Mixed Grill. Falafel and the Mezze. Obviously, with all that food, we had no room for Dessert. All our food was fresh and authentic, and came out in a timely and well-spaced manner. Everything was appetizing, presented well, and the portions were plentiful. We have always loved Mediterranean food, and this one fit our taste, and paired well with the Argentinian Malbec that was recommended to us by our server.
