Go somewhere else where they will serve you things from a can/ready made tortillas. This place is so worth it. It's delicious. After you order they serve you a complimentary quesadilla. A very hot off the grill homemade tortilla with cheese, and it's so good and thoughtful. This reminded me of something my mother would give me while I would wait for her to make dinner. It's a very sweet concept and I love it! No one else does this. This in itself TOTALLY sets them apart from others Only downside I found was that it took a lil longer to get my food, and I was on lunch. So I was a lil disappointed but you know what? I just tried LDH and it was absolutely delicious! I ordered a huarache and a quesadilla de pollo for my son, which came with black beans and rice. The huarache was full of flavor crispy on the outside, soft inside, topped with tender meat, fresh lettuce, crema, and perfectly cooked sunny-side-up eggs. The quesadilla was also a hit, packed with melted cheese and juicy chicken, served with flavorful rice and beans. My son loved it! Everything tasted homemade and fresh, and the portions were generous. The presentation was great too. you can tell they care about the details. There were two angry customers waiting for food. You know that isn't a good sign. I wouldn't have ordered but I didn't see them until after I paid. For whatever reason, they spend a lot of time handing out freebies to make up for the wait instead of just making food. After 20 minutes, I checked on my phone when I paid with card, they came out to tell me they couldn't make my order because they didn't have any chicken. That means in the 20 minutes I waited, they hadn't even started making my food. She offered to make my chicken quesadilla with just cheese, but I am not going to pay $20 for a cheese quesadilla. I asked for a refund. She gave me $36.50 even though I paid $37.25. I was too far over it at that point and I really didn't want to start yelling and there was no way I could talk calmly any more. I want to support a local business, especially a family run one but they have no clue what they're doing. I wish them luck but I don't think they're going to make it. The food is way over priced and they can't figure out how to serve it in a reasonable amount of time. read more

I live in the area so I decided to give them a try. They gave me a sample of their homemade tortilla (tasty) while waiting on my tacos. The owner is very nice and the dining area is nice as well. My issue is the kitchen isn't very clean where they are preparing the food. No gloves or hair nets are being worn. I get home ready to eat these delicious looking tacos, took my first bite and there was a long piece of hair. I called them and told him that there was hair in my food and sent the picture. I was offered to come back and they would make my order over. I went back and picked up my order and went back home. I got home and I couldn't even do it, it was a rap because I was already grossed out. I do understand that things happen but a small investment in hair nets would be great. Sorry! It's a NO for me. The food was good, I love handmade corn tortillas. I really like the shrimp super taco, asada was also good. The price was decent for the shrimp super taco ($9 each for super tacos), but a bit on the steeper end for the regular meat tacos ($8 each for regular tacos). They were big, maybe the size of about 1.5 - 2 smalls tacos for one, but considering the market price for almost every taco places within the Tri city area or even the whole bay, it's like a couple dollars or so overpriced, nonetheless, I'd still eat here again if I was craving them. Service was good, they were nice, nothing extreme. One of their salsas was really good, wish I had more. They refilled it but it was in a really small sauce plate (like those you see in Asian restaurants where you create your dipping sauce). Chips were, I believe, house made, nice and crunchy. Overall, I'd recommend it, but be prepared to pay a little more than other places. read more

We will definitely be back to try the other items. The service was really good. They checked on us twice to see how the food was and if we needed anything. On home made Corn tortillas, which remind me of an Oakland legendary restaurant La Mexicana don't know they still there, but I found a great replacement! A little bit pricey, and takes a little bit of time, but be patient, the price and time are well worth it. This is by far the best taqueria in the tri-city area, possibly even the best all the way from San Leandro down to East Side San Jose. The fresh made Tortillas are absolutely amazing, soft, yet nicely seared, and the atmosphere and interior design choices are really a nice touch, especially for the small space they are working with. Salsa straight out the molcajete, excellent as well. I've never felt possessed to write a Yelp review for a restaurant until now, so that's saying something. Didn't get soggy because the homemade tortillas are thick enough to soak up moisture. Cheese pulls were legendary! Wish I had gotten a pic. I like the bench seating inside. Considering the location used to be a GameStop' they did a great job of using the space. I waited years for them to open so glad I finally got to come check it out. I had all three salsas none were really spicy to me, but all had their individual flavors I couldn't pick a favorite. Portion sizes are pretty big which I love, one taco could even fill you up. So, I want to start off by saying ONLY trust the 3 stars and below. These are the only real reviews from this place and it doesn't take a genius to figure out that the 5 star reviews are all fake and bought for. That being said, the food was good but the reason I am giving this place 1 star is because this place is a SCAM and SHADY. I ordered a super burrito which had a price of $19 + tax which should have been $21.04. But I was charged $21.44. First of all, very expensive for a burrito. Second, they used their phone to charge me on some app like others mentioned on here. When I tapped my card on the lady's phone to pay the tip menu that we are all familiar with at this point appeared on her phone and she quickly took her phone back and lingered on that page. She said that was all and to take my number and have a seat. I am 99% sure they charged me extra in the tip menu. A small amount that I wouldn't even notice. Terrible business practices and I don't recommend anyone this place. Please go spend your hard earned money someplace else. The absolute worse! read more

Laberinto De Humo has a soft opening and I'm already a fan! Over the weekend we dropped by and ordered a few dishes. Sadly, they were out of many items on the menu...that's a good sign and I'm sure they'll figure out the demand soon enough. I loved the clean and nicely designed interior of the restaurant and kitchen. We had some asada and chicken tacos, a burrito, and lots of freshly cooked tortillas chips. The handmade tortillas were delicious and so were the freshly made salsas. The asada was nicely marinated for the tacos and good cuts of beef. The chicken tacos at first glance seemed very enticing, but was missing perhaps a little more seasoning or salt. Both tacos were well made, topped with onions and cilantro, and had a very homemade feel. The restaurant staff were very attentive and you can see the hardworking kitchen staff at work. I'll be back to try the pastor and many of the other authentic dishes. read more

Ordered a super burrito to go and the guy after right after me got his food first which is also an order of a super burrito but different beans in less than 7 minutes while I waited 30 minutes. They charge 16.99 for the order plus newark tax 10.75% should total to 18.81, but my card got charged $19.39 total. Where did the 50 cent go.
