So the first building we went to on the corner was the wrong building and one of the stylists showed us where to go. She was sweet and super nice. I asked if they was hiring and she told me to ask the lady at the next building. So we walk across the street to the building that we needed to be at and once walking in the lady behind the desk was rude! My friend walked in first and greeted the receptionist and she looked up and said the usual "how may I help you" my friend said she has a appointment and the lady said ok and asked her if she wanted a water then o said I would she asked if I had a appointment I said no then she got smart and said " now you know u can't come back with her if u have no appointment you have to find some where else to go" now I know my mouth and I said ok and I walked out. Now my friend stayed and she told me that the lady was nasty towards her and she had a attitude. She told my friend "it states on our website that no visitors are allowed only clients being serviced". Now we never been to your site we only knew of this place because my friend followed her technician to her new salon to work in. Let me begin by saying I had the most amazing pedicure / manicure while in Jackson Hole, Wyoming for my wedding. I was searching online for a local salon / spa that would be closer to the experience I had in Jackson Hole. During my online search I came across Lacquer Gallery in Harrison West. Listed on their website was special they were running for Pride month. They were offering both manicures and pedicures with Pride artwork. They offered artwork at increment levels 1-3. One being less expensive and I'm guessing closer to basic artwork and three being more expensive and being advanced artwork. I decided to give Lacquer Gallery a try. When trying to book you are redirected to the Vagaro app. What I wanted to book was the level 3 pedicure. I put in the appt notes that I wanted to add paraffin and I asked if I needed to remove my toe nail polish to avoid any extra costs. The appointment was already going to be much more than I wanted to spend, but I was going to splurge. I arrived 10 min before my appointment time to a very busy salon at 2pm on a weekday. I was shocked at how busy it was, organized chaos is a good way to describe it. When I was taken back into the salon I was taken to a manicure station. Turns out I booked incorrectly on the app. I voiced 4 different times that I did not think I would be able to reschedule due to the fact I had left work early for this appointment. Lacquer is so busy they do not have available appointment times very often. Good for them, not good for a girl that works two jobs. All the times that I said I could not reschedule were ignored, mind you I did not yell it, but I should have been listened to. Instead Tara my nail tech and the receptionist basically bullied me (by not listening to me) into coming back in an hour. I relented. When I returned I was hurriedly taken to a pedicure station. I was asked what temp I like the water, I like it hot, but not so hot that you can not put your feet in it. The initial temperature of the water was too hot for me to immerse my feet in the water. I was not asked how the water temp was. I could tell Tara was rushing the entire time and I did not want to be a problem since it was my fault by booking incorrectly. Eventually the water cooled down enough so I could soak my feet. Tara asked me what nail color I wanted. I was taken back by this question. I let her know the hole point of me booking the appointment was to get the LEVEL 3 Pride artwork. She asked well what do you want. I wrongly assumed that by 3.5 weeks into Pride month the nail tech would have had a plethora of artwork to draw from. Man was I wrong. Not only was this the most painful pedicure I have EVER endured. And yes I do get pedicures regularly, but my artwork was not anywhere close to advanced. To begin she trimmed my right foot after the fact Tara asked me about the length. At that point it was too late to tell her that the length she choose for me was WAY too short. In fact my toenails had never been this short in my 45 years of life. I am unhappy with the length, but after cutting one entire foot there is no going back. I had to let her continue on the left foot. With every step today my feet literally hurt. I just keep telling myself that the nails will grow back. The removal of my cuticles was brutal. You would have thought she would get it by how tense and jumpy I was but she was in far too much of a hurry to notice me. In the end I am stuck with the elementary artwork that does not match between the two big toes. I wish it had been more abstract and then I wouldn't mind the mismatch. I paid $96.75 for the worst pedicure experience I have ever had. I will not be back even though they do offer you a coupon when you settle up for 20% off a future full price service. I did not enjoy the entire experience so I will not pay for any experience there again. read more

I'm all for cancellation policies when they are explicitly written however I was running 10 minutes late and they called me to make sure I was still coming I missed the call because I was driving and got into the salon and they told me that 10 minutes was too long for the Individual nail artist artist. They charged me the fee for the service and a cancellation fee. If you're gonna do things like this you need to be very explicit on your website the app social media because this is not ok. read more

Yay for Christmas nails! I went to the Harrison West location on Tuesday, December 17 for a gel mani + nail art with Julie. The location was easy to find (the pink and orange streamers are hard to miss) and I had no problem with street parking at 10:15am. They were welcoming and friendly when I walked in and Julie took me right away! My nails, they look awesome!! She took what I said I was looking for and carefully did cute Christmas art with all the little details. I was there about an hour in total. Every thing was very clean and professional. I used to love going to Lacquer Gallery and supporting a woman owned local business but I can't deal with their flakiness anymore. I've booked 6 appointments with them since May and they've cancelled 3 of them the day of. 2 nail appointments and 1 hair appointment. The manager called me yesterday morning to tell my appointment was cancelled, I asked her why this has happened to me 3 times and she wasn't apologetic, she told me it's the stylist's/nail tech decision to cancel. Seems unprofessional to me that the management wouldn't take ownership of this issue and would rather blame their staff when this has happened to me with 3 different stylists/nail techs. After I hung up with the manager the salon sent me a text saying my appointment was canceled and that I owed them $5 for canceling the appointment last minute, even though they're the ones who cancelled on me. I called them after I received the text and they said they sent the text out on accident. To be fair the manager did offer me 50% off my next appointment and she tried to book me later in the day, but it was during my work hours. I will not be booking another appointment with them knowing that the salon expects me to change my daily schedule around in order to get seen. The nail techs/stylists at Lacquer Gallery are amazingly talented and they're not responsible for the management handling my situation poorly. read more

Had my first wax today and it went 10x better than expected! First, it's a beautifully decorated space with a small waiting area. The person working the desk was friendly and offered me a beverage. I only had to wait a few minutes past my appointment time, then was greeted by Britt and led downstairs to her studio. Again, a small but nicely decorated & welcoming space! Britt knew this was my first service and courteously walked me through everything step by step. She was reassuring and friendly, and we had great conversation through the service. And she has these pretty lights twinkling across the ceiling that added to a relaxing, fun atmosphere. The service was quick, it was over before I knew it! I really wanted to like this place. Truly. Went in for a set of Gel X Extensions and a CBD pedicure. The same technician did both services. I started to suspect that she wasn't used to doing Gel X when she started putting excessive gel between my nail and the extension. It was way too thick. Literally, the gel was stuck to the skin of my fingers and was very thick. I asked her at the time of service if she would drill all the extra gel out. Once again, she didn't seem to know what to do to fix the problem she created and I ended up leaving the salon, disappointed. I wasn't even going to complain but they were SO bad and on top of that, even tho I had paid for an upgraded pedicure, my feet did not look or feel as tho I had even had a pedicure. It just looked like someone painted my toe nails. After some internal debate, I called to request that they fix the problem, and they readily agreed to have me come in for another mani and gel X set. Thought the problem was solved. The second pedicure was much better but when I sat down to get my gel x extensions replaced, She told me all she was doing was a polish change and drilling the extra gel out from underneath my fingers. I tried to tell her I thought it needed to be a new set because there was so much gel that the extension wasn't actually bonded to my nail properly but she insisted on a polish change. Which unfortunately looked even worse due to the fact that the extensions now looked super thick and clunky. Two days after the "fix" and less than a week after the original set was put on, the nails started randomly popping off, ripping and damaging my natural nails in the process. I am horribly disappointed. Now, not only am I out $140 for the original services and $50 in tips because I ended up having to tip three different technicians, but my real nails look horrible and I'm missing three nails on my left hand. I would NEVER go here again. The service was the worst I've ever had, by far. Shocking, Considering al the amazing reviews. I wish my experience could have been as great but it was an absolute trash of an experience. I just need to make a review on here so there are no deterrents in coming here for "blonde" hair. I've been steadily getting my platinum WHITE blonde hair done by Georgia for two and half years. She is the most educated blonde professional I've ever had. I have been to so many hair dressers in my life, all have ruined my blonde hair. Coming to her, she not only takes time and effort into making sure I'm not damaged but colored correctly as well. She always consults me before moving forward with any color or bleach. She has educated me so much on proper care and color correcting with blonde, I even used to do my own blonde hair, and messed that up bc I didn't know what I was doing. I'm now getting extensions from her as well and honestly I get more compliments from people thinking it's my real hair !!! Some reviews on here are very negative and I know the salon and Georgia would do anything to correct an error if one was made. I'll never go any where that Georgia isn't. My mother, my mother-in-law, and I all got our nails done here for my wedding last week. I got pink/white ombré acrylic nails and a gel pedicure. My mom got a gel manicure and my MIL was scheduled to have a gel manicure. My mom and I had 1pm appointments which we were 7 minutes late for (traffic) and my MIL had a 1:15pm appointment (she was on time). My nails turned out wonderful and my nail techs were very nice; also the salon was clean and extremely cute. However, the rest of the service was bad. First, the receptionist called us right before we got there to see if we were "still going to show up," which I found a little rude and unnecessary only five minutes after the start time. When we arrived, we had to wait an additional 10 minutes to be checked in with the receptionist even though it appeared our nail techs were sitting on their phones doing nothing. When I was finally taken back for my appointment, the receptionist interrupted my manicure TWICE to say that since I was late, I might not make it to my pedicure appointment on time (which was at 3pm; needless to say, my manicure was finished by 2:15 with plenty of time and I had to wait for my pedi after all). My MIL had a 1:15pm appointment (booked online as a pop up deal) for a gel manicure, but she had gel nails on already that needed removed. Her nail tech told her that since she did not inform the salon beforehand that she needed gel removal, she would not have time in her appointment for a manicure. They removed her gel nails and made her go to another salon for her manicure, but proceeded to charge her $30 for the removal (which is honestly outrageous as most nail salons charge around $5-10). Not to mention, it is not clearly stated on the online booking tool when booking a pop up deal that you need to inform the salon of a gel removal. Finally, my mom had wanted a gel French tip manicure, but her nail tech informed her that since she was late, she would not have time to paint a French tip. My mom settled for a regular gel mani, which turned out really cute but wasn't what she wanted. I have had nail techs paint a gel French tip in that amount of time before, so it honestly felt like they could've accomplished it had they wanted to. Overall, I am giving this place three stars because I think the quality of the nail work was excellent and the salon was adorable, but the amount of shaming and lack of accommodation was ridiculous. Seven minutes should not have been enough cause to make my MIL go somewhere else and deny my mother the service she requested, or to constantly remind us that we were late and try to make us feel guilty. This salon is overpriced for the quality of the customer service. read more

Heather is legit the bomb. Her nail art is superb. I mean these pictures don't do her any justice bc I am a nurse - so don't mind the cuticles. I always forget to take a picture when they are fresh. But anytime I go she is sure to get me together from my cuticles to the nail are. The picture with the evil eye is after 3 weeks & I work 48-60 hrs per week in the hospital, so I'm constantly washing my hands. The other yell/cheetah is a week after having them done and the green with the spider is a couple days after. So since my first two visits I've been back numerous times. I've had gel manis, regular pedicures, I've had my eyebrows waxed and tinted and gotten another hair cut and a full balayage done. I can highly recommend every person I've encountered here. I don't get my eyebrows waxed ever because I have super sensitive skin. Sophia uses a hard wax(I think that's what it's called) and I literally had no reaction to it at all. It actually worked better for my skin than threading did. Shelby did a phenomenal job with my haircut and full balayage. She set the right expectation with my hair color. I can't express how nice it is not feeling like an inconvenience while having a service done. I love how they coordinate appointments on the app too. I absolutely loved my tech, Rae. The pedi is down in a tub of water that they carry out to you. You have to balance your foot on the tub lid while they work on your feet. There were no power buffers and sanders, all done by hand which made the process even longer. I tried gel because dip wasn't an option and it's uneven/wavy.
