I adore this B&B. From the moment my daughter and I walked in, we felt welcomed into the large, beautiful space. I got to read and drink a glass of wine on the balcony off my room. Breakfast the next morning was divine. We loved looking at all the photos and antiques and books and the ChiChi doll. This is a superb location if you're wanting to attend the Oregon Shakespeare Festival, but you'd like a tranquil and affordable respite from downtown Ashland. Highly recommended! read more

Lady Geneva Bed & Breakfast in Medford, OR is one of my favorite places to stay when I'm on the road between the Bay Area and Pacific Northwest. This 1914 Craftsman has been meticulously maintained under the stewardship of Cecil de Haas and Gloria Thomas de Haas who are incredibly gracious hosts. The breakfasts are amazing as well. This was a great Bed &Breakfast. The home is lovely and in, I believe, a historic neighborhood. The communication with Lady Geneva was so good as we got close to check in. Yes, as I had slept comfortably and knew coffee or hot teas were available early, I could quietly find my way to the dining room but, wasn't alone for long. Help is always available if it's needed. We (6 adults) booked the entire Lady Geneva house for two nights for a family vacation in August 2023. Gloria was responsive and helpful in answering my questions prior to booking. During our stay, Gloria and Cecil were wonderful hosts - warm, friendly, and available without being intrusive. The house was well-appointed and well-kept, and the location was quiet but still within a 10-minute walk of downtown Medford. My boyfriend and I had a wonderful overnight at Lady Geneva. We booked it a few days prior to our stay. Gloria and Cecil were AMAZING hosts. It was stormy the days of our arrival and departure. They were readily available via text and provided helpful weather updates as well as ensured we arrived home safely after our stay. The storm was so bad, I was also touched that they left lanterns in our room in case of a power outage (which never happened.) They also were extremely sweet, answered all our questions regarding the surrounding area and trivia about the really beautiful home's history. My boyfriend and I wore masks, and Gloria graciously offered to put them on as well (which we declined, but appreciated the offer). We stayed in Lady Florence room--has heating and tons of windows, which open. It is full of antiques (but still comfy and welcoming), had fresh flowers, a motorized bed that can adjust head/feet, a sizable soaking tub, and other unexpected amenities. Also it was EXTREMELY CLEAN. One of the only places I have stayed where I didn't think twice about walking barefoot in my room, or using my towel which fell on the floor. Breakfast was stellar--lots of tea options. The dining table was set for the two of us when we came out of bed; Gloria presented each dish to us (yogurt parfait with generous helping of fresh berries; avocado toast with goat cheese, poached egg, and truffle salt). Within walking distance to downtown (10ish minutes) was a really awesome Forage Cafe, which had some of the best coffee in my trip as well. I would come back in a heartbeat! I paid way more for cheap hotels and horrible air bnbs (on this trip alone!). This was clean, interesting, relaxing, and with a large/healthy breakfast. A great value. The place is full of love and history--treat it with respect, but allow yourself to feel at home. Thank you Gloria and Cecil for the great stay! Wish we stayed longer :) read more

Lady Geneva BnB was such an extraordinary experience. My husband and I have been to Medford several times and stayed at several other accommodations but nothing compared to this one. The hosts Gloria and Cecil were so welcoming, personable, and made us feel like family. The service they provide for their guest sets a new standard. The rooms were clean, cute, with special touches to make our stay comfortable. We celebrate our anniversary, and we were so grateful to do so. After a long drive from Modesto California we decided to stop for the night in Medford. It is the halfway point in our journey home. Usually we stay at a local hotel but this time we decided to help out a local business. I called ahead and spoke with Gloria, she and her husband Cecil are the owners and hosts of this beautiful historic home. They had a room available that would suit our needs perfectly. Upon arrival we were greeted by Gloria. She was friendly and very welcoming. We signed the paperwork and took care of business. Once settled into our beautiful room we went downstairs for a complimentary glass of wine. We visited with Gloria and her husband and shared some common travel experiences with them. Having worked and managed 4 and 5 star hotels in many of the places we hope to visit, their insight was invaluable! We loved chatting with them. Our room was beautifully decorated and inviting after a long day in the car. The private bath was lovely and the soaps and lotions were a real treat. The bed was cozy and we slept very well. The sheets were crisp the comforter was the perfect weight, keeping us warm on a cold rainy night. The next morning we had breakfast in the beautiful dining room. Cecil had prepared a poached pear with honey and pecans atop a dollop of vanilla yogurt and blueberry muffins. Our entree was a sausage omelet and perfectly cooked asparagus with bacon. We're not usually " vegetables with breakfast " kind of people but this breakfast was incredible. The omelette was fluffy and had just the right amount of goodies inside. The asparagus was tender and the bacon was the perfect compliment to it. We were served our choice of juice, we chose a mango orange that was delicious as well as the perfect cup of coffee. Again we visited with our delightful host ( our choice) and left feeling like family. We have often stayed at B & B's just not normally on our trip South to see our kids. Of all of them we've stayed in, this is our absolute favorite. I often dread making the long drive but no more. This will be a regular resting place for us from now on. read more

We booked this trip on the front and back ends of a backpacking trip and it was just the level of comfort and luxury you hope to experience in such a lovely, historic home. The food was delicious. They were very accommodating with our change in flight times. And without a car, we appreciated the location, within walking distance to several restaurants, a brewery and a theater. My husband and I spent last night (5/31/2021) at the Lady Geneva Bed & Breakfast as we passed through Medford on our way home from the Oregon coast. The Lady Geneva is an historic home built in 1914 and the love and care taken in furnishing and maintaining it is quite evident. The house is as comfortable as it is beautiful. Our hosts and the home's owners, Gloria and Cecil, are warm and welcoming and clearly know how to make their guests feel comfortable. Gloria and Cecil focus on every detail, big and small, and made our stay so enjoyable! After showing us our room, the "Lady Florence," we were offered wine and enjoyed relaxing in the parlor as our hosts answered our questions about the house, its furnishings and recommendations for nearby restaurants. Breakfast the next morning was a culinary and visual work of art - Vanilla Bourbon Peach Parfait and Mixed Omelet with Asparagus. Yummy! Kudos to chef Cecil! The Lady Geneva is now my favorite B&B and we will definitely stay there again next time we are in the area. It has my highest recommendation! read more

Where to start! My mother booked 3 rooms for my bridal shower. And I have to say, we enjoyed our stay from the moment we walked in until the moment we left! First, the food was absolutely amazing! We had requested that Cecil Jr. prepare a special Cuban meal for dinner and it did not disappoint! One of the very best meals I have had, and that is saying a lot coming from a foodie like me. The home is impeccably refurbished and the hosts are so welcoming and gracious--they make you feel right at home! And, the home also smelled amazing! They have a special lavender scent created just for them and the beds were so comfortable! Another highlight, I had woken up earlier then everyone else, so I ran myself a wonderful bath in their claw foot tub, it was heaven! Our stay ended just a wonderful as it started, breakfast, by Cecil Sr. was SO good! Truly a 5 Star experience! read more

We stayed at the Lady Geneva Bed and Breakfast while enjoying a private wine release dinner during the evening. Everything was wonderful. Check-in was simple, advance reservations had completed getting the administrative work completed prior to arrival;. Our room was warm, inviting and comfortable. Other basics -bed was adjustable and very comfortable. After check in and settle in we were given a glass of wine to enjoy while sitting in the parlor. House is wonderfully restored with modern comforts in turn of the century setting. Location is excellent for visiting the Rogue Valley. Downtown Medford with art, dining and wine tasting room are a short 5 blocks away. Everything else is an easy drive. And now breakfast. We want to return just for the breakfast. Coffee was available on rising and then when we were ready a fresh fruit parfait with juice, followed by a meat, cheese and pastry plate, and then the breakfast exclamation point of double high fresh baked bacon and walnut French toast with maple syrup. This should be Breakfast and Bed the breakfast was so delicious. Hosts Gloria and Cecil are both gracious and welcoming attending to all our needs. Comfortable relaxing parlor with old wood warmth. Close to downtown Medford and art, restaurants, and wine. Words do not do justice to the French toast it was so good. read more

My best friend and I stayed there for 11 days at the end of May. Cecil and Gloria were wonderful. Gloria was personable and extreemely knowlegable about the many things to do in town and in the surrounding areas. Cecil was very charming and funny. The gourmet breakfasts were a delight. They took great pains to keep the historic feel of this lovely home. We walked to downtown Medford for shopping and dinner. We found Lady Geneva for our quick getaway-from-LA anniversary trip. This place is really special. Gloria and Cecil are the perfect hosts, and made our stay extra-special after we told them it was our anniversary. We walked to dinner, a great steakhouse with several pubs along the way that we wished we had more time to try. After dinner we returned to our room - which by the way was adorable, like all the rooms - and found Prosecco on ice and the bed arrayed with rose pedals. The breakfast was delicious.
