This was our first trip to Ashland and boy what a grand time we had. We left the San Francisco Bay Area bright and early for what proved to be a splendid weekend on our Harley Davidson. Pat greeted us at the door upon our arrival, showed us around the house and lead us to our garden room. When we went back outside to grab the bags off of the bike she followed us to have a look at our iron stead. I was so impressed that she had offered us the use of their personal garage to keep the bike safe and warm. We were totally blown away. Let me tell you the best part of whole trip was the breakfast. From the fresh fruit plate, to the fresh baked muffins, followed by a wonderful egg dish. We were both stuffed by the final course. Did I mention the coffee? The coffee was delightful. Freshly ground and brewed to perfection. I didn't even miss not having my daily dosage of Starbucks. We were joined by four other couples whom had been coming to this B&B for many years. They all made us feel as like we had been friends for years. The conversations lasted well beyond the scheduled breakfast hours. Thank you Pat and Tom for an amazing weekend. We can't wait to return next year.

There is no onsite staff, so you need to make sure you've received your welcome email which contains the door codes to enter. The room was elegant, with very high ceilings, completely decorated in the victorian style with lovely antique furniture, photos, and decor (old oil lamps etc.). The decoration was completely tasteful and not cluttered. Each morning, there is hot coffee prepared in the sitting room, which has a large table, lots of board games, and some comfy couches and chairs to sit in. My partner and I had an easy time doing a few hours of work each day in this room. The internet was fast and reliable. The hotel is very private, with no front desk staff and very few other guests, but there is someone on hand via phone or text, and they are able to get to the hotel within a few minutes to help with anything you need! They use a great platform for managing the reservation, where you can very easily purchase a 1pm late check out (for $25) - that came in very handy when we realized in the morning that we weren't going to be ready to leave at 11am! Thank you for a wonderful stay!

We stayed in the Captain & Lizzie McCall Suite. It is simply stunning. The king bed was wonderfully comfortable and the furniture and decor was lovely. We thoroughly enjoyed the delicious chocolate chip cookies and milk too. Breakfast was yummy too and right on time. The coffee was strong and food arrived promptly (perhaps the bacon was a little dry- but otherwise very well executed). I appreciated their communication in the days approaching our stay. Everything was seamless, comfortable, and relaxing. Exactly as we expected. highly recommend!

It included an exquisite frittata, the best Waldorf salad I've ever tasted, cucumber & creme cheese sandwiches, scones with clotted creme & jam, macarons, chocolate-dipped juicy strawberries, & an array of delicious loose leaf tea steeped in four different teapots. The table was set beautifully with a heavy linen tablecloth and sterling flatware. The 1883 Victorian mansion has been exquisitely restored & filled with lovely antiques. The service we received was warm and considerate. The various two pots were kept refilled with hot water and fresh water was poured for those who wished. This was so exquisite that we intend to check out their Christmas tea as well.

We love Ashland…read moreand decided to stay somewhere different than we normally do and chose Country Willows Inn and I am so glad we did! This is a stunning property. It has a huge Willow Tree in front, a pond with ducks, a gazebo with a beautiful garden area and pond with fish, and is just so well done. We watched deer in the morning while we ate our breakfast! Lisa was so nice and took good care of us! Cookies when we arrived, a handwritten note, truffles in our room. Super friendly and helpful when we arrived. Every detail was so wonderful. There is a pool also but it was closed due to the weather being too cold but I'm sure it's amazing in the summer. Parking is good also. The inn is not too far from downtown and they offer a delicious breakfast as well. We had apple cider crème brûlée and sweet potato hash with chicken apple sausage. Good coffee too! Overall we really enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back to this lovely and charming place!
