I'd heard of Lady M but never had the chance to try it until now. Their cakes are beautifully crafted and known for their unique flavors, so we decided to splurge on one for a loved one's birthday. With whole cakes costing around $100, it's definitely the kind of purchase you save for a special occasion. The ordering process itself felt very exclusive. To secure a cake, we had to wait for the order form to open on the designated day, which is also when you find out what flavors are available. It definitely creates a sense of urgency and scarcity. Part of the brand's prestige is its strict pickup process. The confirmation email clearly states that you must present your QR code and identification when collecting your order. Unfortunately, this is where our experience took a very unexpected turn. When we arrived to pick up the cake, we were informed that it had already been collected. As you can imagine, this immediately caused panic. My aunt, who had placed the order, was worried that either her account had somehow been compromised or that the store had failed to follow its own verification procedures. After all, if QR codes and ID checks are required, how could someone else have picked up the cake? What followed was a lot of back-and-forth with staff and very few answers. We eventually had to request a manager because we seemed to be going in circles. It turned what should have been a quick pickup into a surprisingly stressful experience, especially considering this was for a birthday celebration and the cake had been ordered well in advance. Thankfully, the manager was able to get to the bottom of the situation. It turned out the cake had not actually been picked up at all. The store had run out of our ordered cake (a 6-inch Passion Fruit Mille Crêpes) and it had been mistakenly marked as collected in their system. While I appreciated finally getting an explanation, it was frustrating that it took so long to figure out what had happened. To their credit, they did make things right. Since the 6-inch version was unavailable, they provided us with a 9-inch Passion Fruit Mille Crêpes cake at no additional charge. Once we got the cake home, we were impressed by the presentation and even the quality of the utensils they provided. The cake itself was fascinating. The signature layers are unbelievably thin, far thinner than I expected. In fact, the texture initially caught me off guard because the layers were so delicate that I briefly wondered whether I'd accidentally eaten one of those paper separators sometimes found in pastries. It's an impressive feat of craftsmanship, though the texture may not be for everyone. The Passion Fruit flavor, however, was excellent. Bright, tart, and refreshing, it helped balance the richness of the cake and kept it from feeling overly sweet. Overall, the cake itself lived up to the hype, and the staff ultimately resolved the issue fairly. However, what should have been a simple birthday cake pickup became an unnecessarily stressful and confusing experience. While I'm grateful for how they handled the final resolution, I can't pretend the pickup mix-up didn't put a damper on the occasion. read more

One of my favorite cake places to come. It's located on the first floor next to the garage entrance. When you walk by, it's like eye candy to look at all the different flavors and slices. They do have seasonal flavors that they rotate in-and-out. We ordered: - Lavender Mille Crepe: Excellent. A nice lavender fragrant flavor that's slightly sweet. The best one in my opinion - Yuzu Matcha Mille Crepe: Very good. A hint of you with citrus along with mild matcha flavor. Ranked 2nd of the list. - Amedei Chocolate Mille Crepe: Good. Chocolate isn't too sweet and you can taste mild chocolate flavor. - Mont Blanc: Good. The chestnut on top melts in your mouth. The only downside is their crepe cakes are pricey. It used to be $10/slice (for regular flavors) and they raised it 20% to $12/slice before. The 20% increase is too much. We used to come much more often but cut it down due to the 20% increase. Now they somehow lowered it $0.5 to $11.50/slice but some are still $15/slice. It's over $115+ to get the whole cake. They don't have a price tag in front of the cake, so you'll have to ask. Wish they put a price tag in front of the cake to provide more transparency on pricing and make it easier for us without having to ask for the price for the slices (different flavor has different price). Located just out side the bloomingdale perfume area, it has a small coffee area. Maybe it was a slow day coz there were not much customers . And maybe I shud try the other pastries cakes first before saying I was impressed . Mocachino was good though . They used good beans! It's also one of the few places here that serves up a decent, also seasonal, mont blanc (not a crepe cake). The cafe itself is contemporary looking which means bare bones interior and not very much service for how much the cakes cost. The seasonal flavours are often out of stock as well, but I can understand because they are often quite well balanced and refreshing. I prefer picking out whole cakes and slices here because the cafe isn't particularly comfortable. Storefront is bright and welcoming displaying colorful slices and full cakes to choose from. The person working (Tuesday morning) was friendly and helpful. She mentioned guava was the popular flavor so purchased a slice. First bite was good but overall, that was enough for me. I've tried this dessert 3 times (different locations) and each time not wowed. Unpopular opinion here, find it overpriced (about $12 a small slice) and overrated. I've bought for friends and family and for the price-point to hear that it's "just ok" is a bit disappointing. They have the standard flavors, plus some seasonal ones. The flavors I tried at this location were - Matcha - one of the OG and all time favorite. Nice subtle flavors and amazing textures. Guava - first time trying guava flavor. Definitely tasted like it, a lil tart and full of flavor. Checkers - not a crepe cakes, but one of my fave here. Another non crepe cake I like is their strawberry one, but didn't see that one here today. Dubai chocolate - duo color crepe cake with the supposedly crispy/crunch topping. More expensive than the other slices. Was OK, but others raved about it! Very clean space here and lady behind the counter was helpful and efficient. Some tables around the area if you'd like to enjoy some slices there. Cons are pricey and the slices aren't cut so evenly. Some look much smaller than others and the pricing is the same. It doesn't have that intimate vibe because it's located inside the mall but whether you plan to take it to-go or enjoy it there, you will not be disappointed. The quality of the cakes was even more frustrating. Their signature mille crepe was excessively sweet and lacked the great flavor I remember from my first visit; it seems their quality is highly inconsistent. Even worse, by the second day, the cakes tasted slightly sour, suggesting they weren't made fresh that day. My family only ate tiny pieces and left the rest. I came by around 2pm so there was no line and I got a slice of the purple yam cake. They have smaller and larger full sized cakes as well, didn't check the price on those but I'm sure it's up there. The purple yam cake was good but I wasn't wowed.
