I like the ambiance with nice little table and comfortable chairs. At 8 pm, I saw many people were in the stores and lots of cake selections in the display so I gave it a try. The cake looks yummy! But it tastes a little dry to me. I don't taste much flavors. The chocolate one is especially plain. I don't taste much cocoa flavor even though it's chocolate flavor. I've been wanting to swing by Flower Flour and I finally did today. I got a lemon bar. It was pretty tasty. For the price ~$6/7, the value was pretty good for the money. I think for a lemon bar it was tasty, but could've used more lemon flavor and/or sourness. I definitely couldn't finish it in one sitting so for me it'll last for another day! The service was great. I peeked at the other items and they are also pretty pricey as well in my opinion. The little cakes were around $10/11 each. This place is great! I've tried the cookies and the cakes, and they're excellent: decadent, for sure, but satisfyingly light as well. Visited this dessert shop yesterday to get some confections for my mom's birthday! This location is in the Campbell Pruneyard across the bookstore. It's bright and aesthetically pleasing. The once frozen stale tasting slice of carrot cake and small latte I bought should not cost $17 bucks and if it does it better be delicious and served on a real plate and coffee cup not on a paper plate handed to me over the counter and a latter that was a little more than half full and not very good quality. Almond milk they use tastes like chalk and the expresso is burnt. My friend ordered a iced tea.That was served in a plastic cup and cost almost five dollars! If you guys are going to take advantage of your customers and charge top dollar you should try a little harder. I visit this bakery every couple sundays a month after getting off work when i'm craving a sweet treat. The quality of their mousse cakes have remained consistent and delicious. However, a worker in particular did not demonstrate quality service as she saw me approaching the store, I heard a phone ring in the background. It must've been hers since she immediately took the call as if her life depended on it. She takes the call and does not welcome me in. This has been probably twice it has happened. When she took the call she was speaking in a different language that's not english maybe middle eastern? but when she picked up the phone she looked me at as if I was bothering her? Ordered several cakes and was pleasantly surprised by how flavorful and tart each flavor was, but also how light and airy the cake itself was. I got the guava mousse cake, the bavarian burnt almond, the ravishing raspberry, the mango tango, and the passionfruit mousse cake. We enjoyed all of them, though definitely preferred the chiffon cakes more than the chocolate (much heavier) cake for the raspberry one. That said, even the chocolate cake was delightfully less dense than I expected from an American bakery, so it's still good, just not as light as the chiffon ones. Flavor wise, the passionfruit and guava were my personal favorites, though all the fruit flavors were delicious and came through in the cake (it was clear once you took a bite which cake you ate!). Each "slice" (these all came as round minis) was $9.95, which was a tad expensive for me. This would be worth a splurge once in a while, but wouldn't be a regular thing for me. Staff member was super friendly and quick to help me when I walked in, and they can package the cakes separately if requested. The box even came with a piece of ribbon to make it easier to carry. They also have handful of other pastries (lemon bars, macarons, cookies, etc), plus full size cakes and custom stuff as well. Parking is decent since this is located in the Pruneyard, right across from the Books Inc bookstore entrance, though may be hard during peak dining hours (lunch & dinner), and a struggle on weekends. read more

Because a friend recommended this bakery to me, I had to try it. She sung the praises of their mouse like cakes and how her picky sister would order them for their family gatherings. It just so happened that we had a birthday to celebrate and it was a restaurant close by. If you're Asian or Filipino like we are, we like our cakes one way. "Not sweet." We don't like that overly rich buttercream frosting or German chococolate cake that is way too decadent. We prefer them to be light, airy with just a touch of sugar. These cakes passed with flying colors. Passionfruit cake: White cake filled with passionfruit mousse-- I love that they took some white chocolate to do the "Happy Birthday" sign on top. This is what you expect from a bourgeois bakery. The cake itself was just what we wanted with filling that was like a fruit whipped mousse. So good. Almond cake: My personal favorite. If you like Marzipan then you will *love* this cake. The outside fondant was made of marzipan and while I normally can't stand fondant and trash it, this was not the case here. Always loved the Flower Flour Chocolate cake from this place. We wanted to try another cake from another place but since it wasn't available went back to our fav cake. It didn't disappoint any one of us and we enjoyed the cake. Lot of this in this place are very good but I don't like the hint of almond essence in some of their pasteries. They also deliver on Door Dash which is convenient when you're party-planning and have to make a last minute decision on dessert. It's clean and well-organized inside, with typically one staff behind the counter. The shop can get busy since it is in a large plaza which you can tell is overwhelming for the staff. I feel guilty asking questions or being even remotely indecisive since the annoyance is written all over their face. In other words, one staff member isn't enough, Flower Flour!
