Stopped here for dinner while staying in Canandaigua and had a great experience! The food was delicious and everyone in our group really enjoyed what they ordered. I got the birria tacos and they were great! Definitely something I'd order again. Great spot if you're in the area!

Visited for a margarita and burritos. As we've already taken pictures of past burritos just took pics of my son's surf and turf meal. One of the most authentic Mexican restaurants in Canandaigua. We will continue to go back.

Everyone enjoyed their food here and overall, I was surprised at how much I liked this spot in Canandaigua. I had the Chile relleno. It came out soupy because the cheese leaked out into the beans which I've never experienced before but the cheese and beans were really good so no complaints there. It was really hard to eat with a fork though. The skin on the poblano was too tough. The vegetables enchiladas were also apparently good but the tortilla was a bit hard and there wasn't any sauce on top so it was different from a normal enchilada. The grilled chicken dish was also quite good. The chicken was Smokey and cooked well. Everyone enjoyed the rest of their food and it was portioned good and not too much. The burrito was really big though. Service was quick and overall really liked this place.

Excellent spot for taco Tuesday! We have visited several times over the years and been satisfied every time. I love having fresh chips and salsa delivered to the table upon arriving. My husband and I each got our own personal salsa bowl which was great because I like to add plenty of extra spicy sauce and he enjoys chipotle seasonings. The drinks are refreshing and full of flavor. I really enjoy the Jalapeño Fresh Margarita and this time I tried a Vallarta Margarita which was quite sweet. The AL PASTOR STREET TACOS were a perfect portion for me. The edible taco shell bowl for the refined beans is a nice touch. My husband thoroughly enjoyed the mole sauce on the ENCHILADAS. Reliable, hot, flavorful Mexican food when you just want to enjoy a taco.

We love tacos, so we thought we would give Laguna grande a try... It was an odd experience. The restaurant seem to be staffed only by high school aged kids weren't exactly sure what they were doing. There was a wait for a table so we asked if we could get a drink at the bar while we waited and they seemed unsure of how we could do that and then go sit at a table. In the end we opted just to eat our meal at the bar. We each ordered tacos. My partners came on the smallest corn tortillas I've ever seen. The flavors were decent, but not much filling. Minimal ambience at best

Whenever I'm in Canandaigua I have to stop by my favorite Mexican restaurant- Laguna Grande! Authentic Mexican food, free chips & salsa, full bar and nice staff - what's not to love. Located near CMAC there is plenty of parking. They also have an outdoor patio for dining. They offer plenty of seafood, chicken and steak options. The prices are very reasonable. Next time your in the Fingerlakes give this place a try- you won't regret it. Cheers!

A New Year's Eve to remember. While plans fell through, the staffs Hearts did not fall short. Mumzito knows the eyes are the windows to your soul, and it surely shows in this their food. The service was worth more than I could afford. The decor was infamous. Kevin Hart would eat his heart out for sho.

Stopped in Tuesday night for drinks & dinner. No wait. Sat at the large bar area. Promptly greeted by bartender with free chips & Salsa. 27 oz house margaritas good & not weak. The food was delicious & surprisingly prepared & served quickly. The bartender was very friendly & attentive. Will come back.

Food was acceptable but portions were small. The air conditioning was set for frostbite. The service was great.

The food is ok, but truly doesn't have authentic Mexican seasonings. It's more Tex-Mex than Sonoran.

Steven and Megan are a proper fun duo behind the bar but their skills really stand out. My only negative is HOW EXPENSIVE the drinks are. You have to remember that this is an experience and enjoy every moment but be prepared for a steep bar/restaurant bill. We will definitely be back again. We are locals and have so few lakefront dining/drinking venues that this is a nice place to enjoy the views with a mix of local wines and international, spirits and beers. Cin Cin!

We came as a larger group and they were nice enough for us to order from the breakfast menu as they switched over the lunch menu at 11:30am. Our table enjoyed the food but all agreed it wasn't worth the price point. I tried the chocolate croissant with homemade butter and maple bacon jam along with the Canadian bacon Benedict. The chocolate croissant was nice with the maple bacon jam but definitely not worth the price point of $12. The croissant was quite smaller, like the chocolate croissants you can get from Costco or Starbucks. The Canadian bacon eggs Benedict however was delicious and I really enjoyed it! I just am not sure again it was worth the high price point. However I definitely felt the service was missing. As we were the only ones in the dining area, I felt the service was missing the mark. The server saw we were carrying a baby in the restaurant but didn't ask if we wanted a high chair. My mother-in-law spied it in the corner and then we had to ask for it and we proceeded to set it up at the table. As I was with 2 young kids, I ordered some simple items before the main course like their chocolate croissant and fruit cup. I assumed the server would ask if we wanted those ahead of time but that didn't happen. He also had forgotten my son's drink order and which my son actually had to ask him after some time "where's my juice?" My older son had ordered the s'mores waffles and it looked good when it was delivered but as I cut some of it for me to try later on, I soon realized the batter was uncooked in the middle of most of them. I was thoroughly disappointed he had eaten some of it before I discovered it was uncooked. The server throughly apologized and they remade the order which in the end, we ended up taking home with us. They also didn't take the order off the check for us which normally that would happen. For such a classy restaurant, we would think they would know how to make waffles and for more top-notch service. I think next time we will just enjoy the nice views and choose to eat somewhere else when we are in the area.

I had very low expectations coming in and was surprised by the flavor and quality of the food here. I orders a Paloma which was refreshing and made me miss summer. I also had a sope that was the perfect thickness and wasn't overwhelmed by toppings. The salsa tasted like a less spicy version of my grandma's recipe, still delicious and flavorful. It took more than 10 mins for the host to acknowledge us as she was trying to set tables, attend to other guests and answer the phone. We started with the Guacamole appetizer. I've always liked it and the recipe is the same but the portion was much smaller with a price point that seemed high. I ordered the tacos with chicken and they were okay. The person I was dining with had the Burro Rafael. It was a much larger portion and they enjoyed the taste profile. The restaurant featured original artwork for sale which was a nice touch. Overall I felt the space needs some TLC. The restrooms were not well kept and upon leaving the parking lot there was a lot of garbage overflowing into bins and the surrounding area which isn't what you want to see as a patron. Overall we decided we weren't as happy with the experience as we were in the past and may not return.
