The cheong fun was much larger than I expected since it was wrapped around shrimp tempura. I just wish the shrimp tails had been completely removed--the shells made it difficult to eat. The short ribs were also overcooked, which was disappointing. The standouts for me were the pork shumai, shrimp shumai, and crispy shrimp. Those were easily my favorite dishes and the best-tasting items we ordered. Service was a little mixed. Our waiter was nice, but I honestly felt like the busser took care of us more throughout the meal. He consistently checked on our table and made sure we had everything we needed. At one point, condensation from our water glasses was getting all over the table, and he noticed and brought us coasters without us even having to ask. I really appreciated how attentive he was. The best part of the experience, though, was the ocean view. It was beautiful and definitely added to the overall atmosphere of the meal. Overall, I'm glad we gave Star Noodle a try, but with the prices and the hype surrounding it, I expected more from the food.
