Because of the season I understand these shops are extremely busy and answering calls maybe difficult but should not be an excuse to lose their professionalism and phone etiquette. Phone calls are one of the first contact points that will determine a sale. For me, this was what made me decide with Krown Rust Proofing on Lakeshore. They were very polite and knowledgeable. I did get a couple lower quotes from other companies but was discouraged because of the rudeness and shortness of the attendant to my questions. If their customer service is like that to a potential customer on the phone, how would it be if I walked in or how will they service my vehicle? These guys at Krown were professional on the phone and it did not change when I arrived at the shop. The shop was extremely busy and had to wait in line to talk to the shop attendant at the counter, but when it was my turn the attendant was very professional and advised of how long it would take to replace my tires. He took my keys and directed me to the waiting area and suggested neighboring coffee shops that I could walk to while I waited. I highly recommend these guys at Krown Rust Proofing on Lakeshore!

We then purchased a Canadian Spa hot tub. It was delivered with some hiccups but everyone involved from Peter to the company was all over it to rectify the problem!! Fantastic service! Once the tub was here, Rob from Lakeshore Pools and spas came to educate us, set up the spa and made us feel like we knew what we were doing . In this day and age, privilege is a real thing. There are landlords who have inherited apartment…read morebuildings from family members without experience or skill in managing properties that responding to emails, phone calls, and giving basic walkthroughs seems like difficult work for them. Management flies off to 2-week vacations when they get into an argument with their staff. These landlords are misleading, unethical, don't follow protocol, then completely don't respond when you have urgent matters to attend to and arrange in their building. You are left hanging, having spent thousands of your own hard earned dollars, that you actually worked for. These type of people are incompetent and it's a shame because it effects the people who are hard working and have to start from scratch to build their wealth. Not everyone has the luxury or the means of easy money. A little background about me: - Been working steady for a few years - Wonderful credit - Familiar with the rental process and first time independent rentee The property on Lakeshore Blvd West is gorgeous and in the process of being newly renovated. Units are bright, open, and spacious. The superintendent is decent and accommodating. I got approved to rent a one-bedroom apartment in a unit at 2307 Lakeshore Blvd West on September 21st. The unit would be allegedly ready for move-in on October 1st but I didn't have any furniture so I asked the landlord to move-in after, which he proposed I move-in October 15th. I gratefully agreed. He said to secure the unit I will be required to pay first and last month's rent, key fob, parking tag, and laundry card deposits - which, I conformed with. He mentioned he will require 10 post-dated cheques. I sent him my payment to secure the apartment and he acknowledged that he received both payments via e-transfer. When I asked when I'd be able to sign the lease, he advised that the end of the month tends to be "quite busy" and that we could meet and sign the lease first week of October. I agreed. From the first few encounters with the landlord, whether phone or email, he seemed professional and welcoming. Being a first-time independent rentee, I was looking to make this transition as smooth as possible starting with looking to change my service provider since I'd need internet at my new place. I found a competitive plan from Bell and when I was about to sign up for the plan I was told by the customer service rep, that there are no Bell cell towers at 2307 Lakeshore Blvd West. The rep told me I had until 8pm that day to take advantage of the deal. I called the landlord to confirm if the building had a private service provider but he didn't answer. I called the superintendent as well but he did not answer either. My cheques arrived in the mail and I reached out to the landlord the first Monday of October via email to confirm when we'd be meeting to sign the lease. The next day approached and still no response from him. I not only purchased cheques to be able to rent this unit but at this point, have bought furniture and now need to schedule delivery for my furniture for the move-in date, the week after. I called the landlord, the phone rang, no answer and a voicemail full. I called the superintendent and asked him to relay my message to the landlord. I advised him that I've emailed and called the landlord, and still waiting for a reply on when I can sign the lease this week. The superintendent calls the landlord on his personal phone, superintendent calls me back and tells me the earliest I can sign the lease is a day before move-in because the landlord can't "physically" provide a lease. I asked the superintendent why he can't provide the lease himself and he says, he can but that the landlord will have to walk him through it. After a very frustrating conversation with the super and hearing stories about an incident that scarred the landlord and caused him to distrust his tenants which happened four years ago but also had absolutely nothing to do with me... I decided to give Floriri Investments Inc. an ultimatum. I would make the decision to withdraw my application if a lease agreement wasn't provided by the end of Friday, October 7th with a move-in date of Saturday, October 15th. The lease agreement was never provided and I still have not heard from the landlord to this day.
