The work was done quickly and without issue. They also replaced a corroded Y joint in our main plumbing stack. It was done quickly, efficiently, and inexpensively. No issues there. Where things went sideways was when we had an issue with our main drain line. We had sewage backing up in our basement and lots of sewer gas, which was concerning. Other plumbers who weren't the owner were sent to our house and snaked the line. They had to come back 4 times because they didnt scope the line first as they should have to identify the true issue. Each time they came back, they also made a huge mess, tracking the sewage through my house. If I only had to deal with this one time because they fixed it the first time, it probably wouldn't have been as annoying, but this combined that they repeatedly had to come back because they didn't take the time to properly identify the issue FIRST and then do what they needed to was upsetting. Furthermore, Amy, the person who handles the phones is extremely unprofessional and really doesnt understand the concept of being in a customer service position. She was audibly annoyed with me when we were waiting to pay our invoice until the issue was fully resolved. She is blunt, rude, and just not what I would expect from a company that is so highly rated. You may be able to have a very good experience with this company, but the inconsistency in service is an issue that the owner should look into to improve his company. I would also make sure you push for more communication about what is being tested and the scope of work completed as they were lacking in this regard as well.

Towlson responded quickly, and resolved the issue efficiently and affordably saving us a ton of headaches in the process. We have had them run preventative maintenance on the HVAC system a couple of times in the last five years. They've been able to keep our aged AC compressor running efficiently, saving us thousands in repair and replacement costs in the process. When we had a concern about the dehumidifying unit, they came out, made adjustments and corrected a potential issue quickly and cost effectively. Despite this they sent the plumber out more than an hour early to the job site with no warning phone call and I had to have him sit in the truck and wait. I had just woken up and could not turn off water to the other households ahead of the notice that had been given. Charge on the first job was within the realm of reason. Charge for the second bathroom repair though was extremely excessive given that it turned out to be minor and only took him less than 10 minutes and what seemed to be a few dollars of materials to fix. Verdict: If I have an emergency repair or need work on a night/weekend I may use them again. However if the work is minor or planned I would shop around and find a handyman who is more flexible with pricing.
