Quick heads-up before you go: the restaurant is upstairs and does not have an elevator, so it may not be ideal for anyone using a mobility chair or who has difficulty with stairs. Once we arrived, we were seated immediately and jumped right into the menu. We both ordered the House Margaritas, and wow oh so good. Smooth, refreshing, and just what we needed to kick off the meal. For food, I ordered the Carne Asada, which came with your choice of flour or corn tortillas, rice, fresh guacamole, pico de gallo, and a beautifully grilled skirt steak. Everything on the plate was delicious. The steak was well seasoned, tender, and easy to cut, while the pico de gallo and guacamole tasted incredibly fresh. Wrapping everything up in a warm flour tortilla created the perfect bite. It was simple, flavorful, and so satisfying. My cousin went with the Enchiladas Rojas with ground beef, and she rated it a 5 out of 5. Outstanding! High praise, and judging by how quickly her plate disappeared, I believe it. We finished the night with Fried Ice Cream, which was the perfect sweet ending. Crispy on the outside, cold and creamy on the inside. This definitely topped off the meal and left us stuffed but very happy. Would I recommend Los Camperos? 100% absolutely.
