LAKESIDE CHEVROLET SUCKS!!! I was stopped at a red light and rear ended by a distracted driver. I took my car to the insurance companies preferred vendor which also happened to be the dealer we bought the car from. Good luck right? I was told to bring it in on Monday that they would have parts and it would be ready for pick up that Thursday as it was a very minor repair. (See pics below). I finally received a call late Thursday after I hounded them all day that there were runs and drips in my clear coat so they would need to repaint Friday. They don't work Saturdays so it would be the following Monday before it was ready. At 2:15pm Monday afternoon I received a voice mail stating that our car had hail damage from the storm Friday night and we would need to make a claim on OUR insurance to have that addressed. What?? Yes, you read that right. Lakeside Chevrolet is not willing to admit any responsibility for the damage that the hail storm caused. Mind you my car would not even have been there if THEY had not jacked my paint job to begin with!!! The Body Shop manager said he would "help out" with the deductible but would not commit to a dollar amount. After speaking with the General Manager, Bob Holliman, we were told it's an "act of nature" and basically we can kiss his behind. How is it possible that I brought my car in for a bumper repair and get it back with a ruined hood, roof and entire passenger side but it's MY fault??? I turned the keys and responsibility for my car over to Lakeside Chevrolet. I have certain expectations for the return to be in better condition than when I left it wouldn't you think? Bob Holliman will not even assist with the deductible now for my own insurance claim and says the Body Shop Manager does not have authority to promise that assistance. It might only be $500, but I am shocked and amazed by the inability of lakeside Chevrolet to admit any fault. He said and I quote, if you were on the Walmart parking lot, they aren't going to pay for your repairs. Really, I do not make it a habit of turning my keys over to a Walmart cashier for a week. I didn't turn them over personally to Bob Holliman, but there should be some standard or accountability for the actions of your employees. I was told by the service manager that only four cars at Lakeside Chevrolet received any damage. However, Bob Holliman informed me that over 250 cars were damaged. Well let's all line up and get ready for the hail sale. Have you heard anything?? If you are buying a car from Lakeside Chevrolet, be sure to ask for discounts or guarantees that they are not damaged by the hail from 4/6/18. UPDATE: In addition to the HORRIBLE customer service by the Lakeside/State Farm on-site rep, the Body Shop manager and the Lakeside GM, the Service department calls to report my windshield washer pump is also broken. WE HAVE ONLY OWNED THIS CAR 16 MONTHS!!! Surprise surprise this pump is not covered by warranty so they want another $400 to fix it. Are you freaking kidding me??? They have the audacity to ask us for another $400 on top of the insurance money they are already collecting for the initial repair and they want more money from my insurance company to repair hail damage that happened on their lot while they were responsible for "fixing" my car to begin with. It should be very clear to anyone reading this just what Lakeside Chevrolet is really after. I can personally guarantee customer satisfaction is extremely low on their priority list. Well fat chance Lakeside Chevrolet!!! I cannot get my car out of there fast enough. LAKESIDE CHEVROLET ROCKWALL SUCKS!!! Lakeside Chevrolet SUCKS!!!!!! I made an appointment with them on Thursday to have a thermostat replaced on Tuesday. When I got there they told me there was no way they could do it and it would be another couple of days before they could get me in. I drive a truck for a company in this area and took three days off and got a motel for three days waiting to have the work done. I will never ever even so much as drive up in their driveway again. The service department is probably the worst I have ever had the misfortune to deal with. We have a 2016 Colorado that has had warranty issues, dealing with the same problem, that they claim to fix. We refused to take the truck back once because there was no way they could have fixed the issue with what they claimed to have done. They had us removed from the property by police because we demanded they fix the truck. We obviously left, only to have to return less than 24hrs later because the check engine light came on again. Now back for a 5th time for the same issue they say we don't have?? How is there no issue when the truck runs hot, loses coolant somewhere, and does not shift properly, and the water pump now makes a noise, all because they are pushing us to our warranty limit. Great car buying experience, horrible horrible service department, with little knowledge on how an engine works. read more

We bought a truck at this dealership. Everyone was unprofessional from the beginning to the end. We didn't have the time to drive 30 miles to the other dealership that had a similar truck. We will never buy a vehicle here again. read more

Used car salesman lied about a pre existing condition even after I pointed it out. He said it was fixed. Less than a week having it the condition presented itself again and now won't cover expenses to fix it at their own service department. No integrity whatsoever. read more

Didn't do to well the first time giving them another chance and they did a great job!

Needed to find out why we felt a vibration when driving on our Avalanche with 185k miles. We knew 4WD can be expensive when repairs are needed. The service writer was up front that they were a day behind but encouraged me to get it in as soon as possible. Although he initially said it would be the next day before they could look at it, he called the same afternoon and gave us an estimate, we added a few maintenance needs to the request and it was fixed the next day. The price was better than the estimate, which is always nice. We've only had a few minor items in the 7 years we've owned it, so we really weren't looking to start spending more now! The other person waiting for service told me he's bought from them for years and is happy - good news all around. read more

I would give it ZERO stars if I could. We went in and were surprised by how rude and seriously mean the GM/owner, Bob Holliman was. He insulted us and told us to f$%^ off. Seriously, even if you can't make a deal, you shake hands, say no thanks and are done. You NEVER treat a customer that way. read more

HORRIBLE customer service.... lied to about car passing inspection. Agreed to quoted price to pay for repair (after my husband explained the price was low and salesman stated no.. that was the price it would be) and salesman had the audacity to ask us to pay more for repair because my husband was correct. The salesman then had enough nerve to tell us they didn't have to really do anything. When we received the car back ( after multiple calls on our part to check status) we finally got the car back. Much to our dismay we had body damage to the windows and hub caps- significant scratches to the windows and large gouge out of hub cap by either the dealership or the third party repair place they outsourced to....I understand it is abused at but I don't expect to have the car damaged while being repaired. We were also told the key to the vehicle was not a chip key.....it actually is and we had to pay over $100 for the key (yes I know that's what they cost), but when told we can purchase regular keys- we were quite frustrated. Would not recommend this dealership to anyone looking for a vehicle (new or used). Keep driving or looking.... read more

Some guy named Chris who was apparently the sales manager on duty, I guess he was ready to go home when he came in to our cubicle and decided to tank the deal that we were working on. Purchased a new truck for work. After hooking up several of our trailers we noticed the lights were not working. I went back to the dealership to speak to my salesman and he said no problem take it over to service your under full warranty. Service department told me it would be Monday before they could even look at it. This is 4 days away- I said this is a new truck you would think you could take care of this asap. I go back inside to talk to my salesman but he was unavailable at the moment. Another salesman asked if service was able to help me and I said not until Monday but this being a new truck you would think they would make sure everything was working properly. His reply was we are just salesman we cant do anything about it--do you still want to wait for your salesman. My reply was guess not he is just a salesman also.. Then I just walked out. I have bought my last 6 work trucks from Rockwall Ford and Rockwall Dodge I just wanted to try something different this time. I WONT MAKE THIS MISTAKE AGAIN. read more

They are over charging for cars and figuring in extra charges. The finance manager is rude and wants to tell you how long he has been doing business. It was funny how Texas Department of motor vehicle's value is $6,000.00 lower than what they are asking at the dealer ship. I would be careful when buying a car from them. They have hidden charges. Trying to sell a used car for a new price. Vehicle was wrecked and had several scratches all over it but still trying to sell it for a NEW PRICE!!!! They are just mad because we had our own financing!!!! The only thing good about this place is the sales staff!!! read more

I brought my 2014 Camaro to lakeside Chevrolet for some bodywork on the rear end of my car. When I took my car into their shop this was the only issue that existed, yet when I picked it up, suddenly my ignition was a problem. I was unable to remove my key unless I turned the car on and off multiple times, shifting from park to manual. When I contacted them about this issue and informed them that this issue had not existed before hand, they informed me that I would need to bring it in for them to run a diagnostic on which would cost me $125, plus the work done to repair it. As I stated above, in the entire time that I owned this car, this was never an issue until I picked it up from them. Their manager called me back after I called into complain and while I was explaining my issue, he screamed into the phone, do not yell at me and hung up. The irony is that the only person who had been yelling, was the manager when I explained my issue and my refusal to pay for their services. My brother is a mechanic at a major dealership in Austin and informed me that dealerships will regularly tweak the car to bring in more business when their shop is slow. I highly recommend you do not take your business to Lakeside Chevrolet and instead contact any of the additional shops in the area who do not adhere to a false business method. read more
