We had a really bad experience with a negligent inspection, and they were unwilling to take any responsibility for the damage. I would not recommend using this company at all. Not only are they unresponsive, they left us with a huge problem when we moved into our new home because they did not do a proper inspection. We ended up calling a new plumbing company to fix some of the issues that should have been easily identified with a basic inspection. These guys were great! I called them to inquire about a leaky pipe I needed repaired. Heather answered the phone and provided a great customer experience from the get-go. She was knowledgeable, professional, and responsive to our needs. She was able to schedule our appointment for the date & time I had requested. She responded quickly and positively to an email I sent with photos, reassuring me we were in good hands. And we were! Brian and Jesus arrived right on time, took the necessary steps to ensure our home was protected from any mess. They troubleshot the issue and made the required repairs. Brian was also able to replace a broken shower handle by having the needed parts on hand as a result of the photos I had sent ahead of time. Everything about my experience was positive, from setting up the appointment to the final job. I needed a toilet replaced in my bathroom, and while waiting for that job to start, a leak in the basement from the pipe leading out of the washing machine started happening. Both issues were resolved satisfactorily. The technician (Greg) was honest and friendly; luckily the leaking pipe was just a clog that needed to be routed, and no drywall needed to be cut into. charged by the hour to rod my sewer. $295 per hour with a one hour minimum. hired them because i know the cheap guys dont do the work. it was clear they didnt like me hanging around while they did their work. after some lack of progress and a considerable amount of time i finally asked if they were stuck. they said they were. which is not good when you are paying by the hour. they said they couldnt do the job and left. I was billed almost $500 for a half done job. called the office about my experience. I said i was not looking for a credit but was disappointed. the office manager said he was going to look into it and call me back. that was weeks ago. he never did call back. i dont recommend. premium price, less than average performance. read more

Lakeside did all of our plumbing with construction on our home. They are very nice, very personable and come when they say they will, so they are reliable as far as being there is concerned. All the service guys are courteous and friendly. That being said, the quality of the work is not what I would expect or desire, especially when they are at the higher end of prices. We had several faucets loosen up within 6 months of installation, had to replace a bathtub faucet within one year, and had our kitchen sink water filter break w/in one year. Of course every time they came to fix something we were charged again....so not happy in the long run with the quality of work. read more

Only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is, I'm still trying to decide if they are a bit on the high side for price. Seems to depend on the particular job. In most cases, seems about right. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. We had them come out to fix a toilet that was slow flushing. They did not repair the toilet properly -- it was still slow flushing after they left. The next day it overflowed, damaging our downstairs ceiling and electrical work. It took TWO more attempts to fix the toilet -- finally, they pulled the toilet the third time, which should have been done the FIRST time. The company refuses to acknowledge any responsibility for the damage. Staw away! read more

Service was fast! I called at 8:30am and someone was at my house by 10:30am. My issue wasn't even an emergency but they got me in on the same day. The plumber was courteous and professional. He put in a new water line for my refrigerator and not only fixed the problem but corrected some issues that were not up to code. I called Lakeside Plumbing to fix my sump pump, which wouldn't shut off once it had evacuated water from the pump pit. The service person replaced the old pump with a new pump. That didn't fix the problem. Like the old pump, the new pump wouldn't shut off once it had evacuated water from the pit. Lakeside returned, determined the problem was that the pump wasn't seated straight in the pit. The service person put a cinder block in the bottom of the pit and set the new pump on it. Problem solved. I told the service person and his boss that I felt I shouldn't have to pay $525 to have a new pump installed when the pump wasn't the problem. They tap-danced. I left two voice messages and got no response. And, in an email, I wrote that I felt a $200 credit was fair--and that I'd even accept having the $200 put against future work. Still no response. It's too bad because I'd used Lakeside several times before and was happy with the work. Not this time. read more
