The TV was a little confusing on how to work but after the next morning they taught me how to work because it would not turn on and you had to do something tricky with the remote which is weird but it worked. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the room was actually pretty good. The bed was decent. We did have one extremely loud neighbor next door but other than that it was good. honestly I would come back here and stay here again. for the price, the quality of the room and the overall closeness tothe village and all the places around it was worth it. this was like the last minute budget stay for us and it worked out great. this was a three-night stay and I have no real complaints. everything was good. I was a little concerned when I saw pictures of bug bites from other pictures but gladly that was not a problem here for my stay. I did check the bed. it's all nothing wrong. stayed in there for three nights. no issues. so whatever the previous problem was it was not a problem for me. When you entered, you were in a vestibule with a door going left and a door going right, each two separate rooms, one with a bed and one with a kitchen and a fold away bed, both with bathrooms and fireplaces! We enjoyed the hot tub and the barbecue areas. The hot tub is especially nice with very firm jets and a lovely view of a tree covered empty lot next-door. The staff was friendly and helpful and the location is central to just about everything in Big Bear. We enjoyed staying here very much and are already planning our next stay here in Big Bear.

My sister stayed in their cute one bedroom cabin that came with a full kitchen and somehow she paid less than I did, but I'm not sure who has control over pricing when it comes to booking with an outside company. They are currently remodeling rooms and the pool. Their costumer service was great, the communication was good, they responded quick and provided me the room code prior to our arrival. Overall 3 1/2 starts. Easy check in. They are trying to improve their property so I'm not closed minded to see their potential.

He delivered extra bedding to us, as well as a Firestarter Log for the fireplace. He gave us the history on the property and filled us in on the future plans, all of which sound AMAZING. The property is currently being renovated. That takes time, especially up the mountain, as deliveries are more difficult to receive, I'd imagine. The property is open while renovations are taking place, so be patient and understanding. There is a reason the rooms are SO CHEAP at this time. Our cabin was totally fine. The mattresses and futon were all brand new. The other furniture was not, we didn't care. There were random dishes and silverware, not full sets of everything but we made it work. We used the stovetop and oven with no issues, all the appliances worked fine. There were random pots and pans...I've stayed in better equipped cabins, but they're working on it . I am sure eventually they will fill in the blanks in all the rooms. Frank let us check out the bar which is due to open soon...my husband and I are going back in a week and a half (I had that booked for a while, the trip we just took was last minute) and I can't wait to see it finished. The VIBES ARE ON. Looks like it's going to be decorated very cute....Big Bear Hipster Chic. They're designing lots of outdoor living space: Hot Tubs, Fire Pits, Cold Plunge. When this place is finished it's going to be amazing, and I can't wait. Go now while it's still cheap, because I am sure once the renovation is complete they're going to have to increase the price. Frank also told us the large front cabin will be more like a Hostel set up, so that may be an affordable booking option when it's ready. The trolley stops next door at Big 5 every 30 min so you can take that to Snow Summit and not have to drive your car. It's close enough to The Village that you could walk, weather permitting. The location is great. I can't wait to go back next week and hopefully make this our regular place to stay in the future!

They are very simple with the bare necessities (a few toiletries and towels). The room didn't have a hair dryer but they could have one at the front (I didn't ask). The bed and floors were clean, however the shower curtain was smudged with a previous person's makeup which was kind of gross. No cable or linked streaming service on the TV, just the free TV channels that come with the manufacturer. We stayed on the lower level and heard a lot of footsteps above us in the morning so beware the noises do travel. Parking is easy with a lot behind the back of the motel.

Then I asked what the office hours were and he said 24 hours but after a certain time he won't answer only for emergencies. I don't understand why anyone else would even bother bugging other than emergencies. He said they offer room service but you have to let them know ahead of time. Our room still had leftover shampoo, conditioner and soap that was there from the previous person. The power was shut down for the city and the manager didn't bother letting anyone know or pass out flyers warning us. I found out from locals that they were shutting it down. This place needs a new manager because I wouldn't stay here again because of his lack of customer service and communication.

The driveway was plowed very narrow as well and got a big scratch on the door of my full size vehicle from the tiny ice tunnel I had to drive thru. Room is in bad shape as well, lots of peeling. Took us approximately 4 1/2 hours with traffic. ***if this is your first time driving from Vegas to Big Bear, please note that you are literally driving up the mountain to get there. The road is crazy windy, so keep that in mind if you go when there's inclement weather. A quick google search led us to Big Bear Manor Jacuzzi Cabins. Very reasonably priced, and very close to Village Dr (it's where all the shopping and restaurants are). Upon check-in, we were warmly greeted with lots of tips on places to eat, and things to do. We were given cabin #12 (my favorite number) and it was perfection!! There is a covered car port next to the cottage. As you walk up to the door, there's a covered patio with a little table and chairs. When you walk in, there's a queen bed to your left with nightstands and lamps on top. To the right, there's a huge jacuzzi, working fire place (not gas, a "real" fireplace) and a tv mounted to the wall that swivels to the left and right. A little kitchenette with basic kitchen utensils, mini fridge, sink, microwave, and toaster oven. Bathroom with shower in the back. Very cozy living space!! We lucked out because it snowed a couple of the days we were there. A rarity to see when you live in Las Vegas. We took full advantage, and had a fire going 24/7!!! We can't wait to go back both with and without our kids. The fireplace lit up with just the two of us was such a romantic getaway. We also can't wait to share big bear with our children because they too are going to go crazy over being in the woods and skiing or swimming depending on what time of year we come back. And we will definitely be back!

We had 2 pillows for 2 beds (extras weren't available), but what looked like a handyman did show up with extra bedsheets that were rolled up in a bowl and held against his dirty clothes. The overhead light was broken, the floors were absolutely filthy, the windows were off track and couldn't stay open or lock. The hot tub, which was the main reason we rented this cabin, is cracked and peeling and was dirty on arrival. I bought cleaning supplies before I realised that the hot tub was completely unusable. When water hit the basin it threw little pieces of peeling of paint into the water. The kitchen was an absolute disaster. It was listed as a usable kitchen with lots of amenities. Upon arrival we found, 2 plates, 1 saucer, no bowls, 2 glasses (that didn't match) no wine glasses. We had to ask for wine glasses and when they arrived it was 1 wine glass, 1 champagne glass both very dirty. All of the cutlery was mismatched, dirty, and not a complete set. Dirty pots and pans were in a cabinet. There were no trash bags, a broken paper towel holder, no supplies to wash or dry dishes. However, there was a sign saying if you left dirty dishes behind they would charge you. There were also no kitchen towels or pot holders. In the bathroom, we found a broken toilet paper holder, broken bathroom mirror , 1/4 roll of toilet paper, no shampoo, conditioner, or soap. There were only three towels so we had to ask for extra towels. We were given towels with large holes that smelled. There was no bathmat, a torn shower curtain with no shower curtain liner. The hairdryer dryer was missing from the wall and when we asked for one an hour later one showed up brand new in the box obviously had just been purchased at the store. The grounds were filthy as well. Trash was everywhere as well as broken appliances stored behind and underneath other cabins. Someone lives at the facility and let their small child scream and yell even pass the quiet hours. We contacted the manager multiple times and when we gave a list of complaints, they didn't respond until before our checkout reminding us to be out on time so they're cleaning crew could access for the next person. We asked for a partial refund due to the fact the amenities listed were not there so we had to go out and purchase them, as well as the fact that we could not use the hot tub and that is the main reason we rented the place. We were told they don't trade refunds for good reviews.
