I had my teeth cleaned here before several times and it's been good until they started pushing me to see a periodontist about gum recession. Recently they were really upping the scare tactic saying it's urgent and the periodontist basically accused me of only brushing once a daily as the cause...which is definitely not true. I typically brush 2-4 times a day, tend to grind my teeth. Once he got done with his sales pitch of trying to get me to do this blood spinning work..the front desk told me I needed to pay $6500 out of pocket before they bill insurance. Umm yeah let me just pull $6500 before you even submit paperwork to see if they'll approve it. This on top of they wouldn't put on a $650 supposed crown I "needed" because they wanted to wait for the gum surgery....needless to say I'm finding another dentist to get their recommendation read more

DO NOT USE THIS DENTAL PRACTICE. GET A SECOND OPINION FOR ANY DENTAL WORK / PROCEDURES THEY RECCOMEND. I picked up a friend from oral surgery here and there were many red-flags. While he was medicated post surgery, they tried to get him to pay several thousand dollars in billings despite him trying to explain his insurance. They also, confiscated medication that was prescribed to him and that his insurance had covered which seemed like questionable practice. A few months later, he went in for a routine cleaning where they told him he needed multiple crowns and cavities taken care of- several thousand dollars of dental work. Fortunately, he got a second opinion from my dentist who reviewed Lakeview Smiles x-rays, dental plan of care, and recommendations and basically told him that none of the work is needed and his teeth were perfectly healthy. Had he not gotten this second opinion his teeth would have been permanently ruined by Lakeview Smiles. I highly recommend NOT using this dental practice but if you do and they suggest any dental work- get a second opinion and report them for fraud if their plan of care is not needed. You can report malpractice to the state of Illinois and local dental boards. read more

This review wasn't based on the quality of work, as much as the approach and empathy with clients. The hygienists are wonderful, but when it came to the dentist I worked with, he was very dismissive of my concerns with the financial side. He had me guess how much it would be and told me to just put it on a credit card. I don't have a credit card and it left a bad taste in my mouth coming from someone in the health field. I feel their pricing was on the higher side and it didn't feel like they truly cared about the client, but more the numbers they are obtaining. read more

You'll be waiting at each appointment for a minimum of 30 min. I received a filling, which didn't seem complete, as I brought up that I could feel something in my tooth at every subsequent cleaning, and just told that everything looks pristine. Fast forward a couple cleanings later, and it's now a cavity that requires a crown. It took 2 months to get an answer about this situation, with many phone calls and many replies of "we'll get back to you tomorrow" or "we'll get back to you in the next hour", just to hear that oh, we can't do anything about it because we can't speak to what any provider told you in the past. They try to max out each patient's insurance to make as much money by submitting claims for services that are not needed at the time. I came to lakeview smiles bc an implant fell out. They needed to order a part to be able to put it back in. It has been over a month and they cannot give me ANY details on the status of even ordering the part. The first time I called, they said they could give me a tracking number. The second time I called they said "I don't know maybe it was returned?" The third time I called they said "We can't get a hold of their rep." The kicker? They don't event take my dental insurance. I wonder if this is the level of care they think is acceptable to be given to themselves when they are missing a tooth, but hey - at least their new offices are nice. #priorities read more

Went in for a cleaning as a new patient. Overall, that experience was fine, though they took a TON of x-rays and the appointment took much longer than I had anticipated. While there, they noticed some gum recession, of which I was aware, as well as cavities and other issues that my previous dentist had never mentioned. I went to their Periodontist for the gum recession--a consult costs $150. The Periodontist told me that he cannot do anything about the gum recession for which I was referred, but he has found other gum recession that should be addressed. The estimated cost was over $4k and I was told that this procedure would need to be done every 3 to 4 years! The dentist should never have referred me to a specialist, at a cost of $150, for something that cannot be addressed. read more

So I've gone a real long time without getting a dental check up, mostly cause dentists kind of freak me out, so I was super happy that I found this place. They all made me feel super comfortable and knowledgeable about what's going on. Big shout outs to Jennifer who was working the front desk when I arrived and gave a great first impression. If I could give this location 0 stars I would. I have been going to this office for about a year. Upon the first visit, which was meant to be a routine clean and a consult for invisalign, I was informed I would need multiple fillings and a crown. This was already a shock as I'd experienced no sensitivity or noticeable issues, and had very limited previous dental care required. I got the work done in early 2023. About two months later, at my second cleaning, I was informed the doctor who did my fillings and crown no longer worked at the office. The new doctor said the fillings that were done earlier in the year were done poorly and needed to be redone. They were apologetic and covered expenses for most, but required payment for an additional filling. At my cleaning this past October I had xrays done once again, where I was informed I would need two additional crowns and a filling to protect from a root canal and further damage. These crowns were recommended for teeth I have never once experienced pain or sensitivity in. Against my judgement, I returned last week and had the work done. Upon this visit i was informed I would need 8 more crowns. 8!!!!! This was a complete and utter shock. I received no explanation for which teeth would need to be prioritized, and was not even walked through which teeth would need the crowns with the dentist. That said, after 5 appointments and more than $3K out of pocket in dental work this year, I decided to get a second opinion. I visited a new dentist today who reviewed every scan and took additional xrays to be sure. He advised NO FURTHER dental work (a stark comparison to the $15K that Lakeview Smiles was asking from me for additional dental work), and even said he was angered by the crown I had done last week as it most definitely was not needed. He mentioned that both were also done poorly, and I would likely be dealing with bondage breaking or a root canal in the future. Not to mention, in both crowns I had done I am now experiencing extreme sensitivity that I had not had before. All this to say, this location and these doctors are either completely incompetent or total scammers. Learn from the mistakes of others and DO NOT GO HERE! I will be dealing with dental issues for the rest of my life thanks to this office. read more

I previously had a negative experience with Lakeview Smiles, but I'd like to give them credit for making things right. Before a crown procedure, they informed me that my dentist was no longer available and asked me if I'd be ok switching to another dentist. I said yes, but they didn't tell me that the new dentist was out-of-network. Struck by the high out-of-pocket costs, I reached out to Lina - their new office manager - and she profusely apologized and refunded me the balance (i.e. I ultimately paid in-network costs). She said that they're making sure this situation won't happen again moving forward. read more

Avoid at all costs. Out $4k+ out of pocket and left in a worse position after "treatment" here. I came across this office after a move and was shocked to be told after a consultation that I needed four crowns to protect them from needing root canals and five cavity fillings. Despite the fact that my prior dentist did not recommend any of the work (and, in hindsight, against my better judgment), I proceeded to have two crowns done on teeth that felt fine to me. However, because of the work done here, the crown treatment led to severe cold and pain sensitivity in BOTH teeth that led to two root canals being required to fix the issues. Additionally, although I was told by this office that I need two more crowns to "protect" two other teeth from root canals, given the aforementioned debacle, I asked for a second opinion from both an endontist and another dentist who both did not think the recommended crowns would be necessary to protect the teeth from root canals (and furthermore, the dentist did not think the cavity fillings were necessary as well). In my opinion, this office will push wholly medical treatments and will not act with your best interests in mind. Avoid. read more

I was referred to Dr. Lee by my cousin. I cracked a tooth went to their office for my appointment, they took X-rays numbed the area right away and told me it would cost $1,800 to have the tooth crowned which I approved. After being in the chair for 5 hours I realized they had worked on the wrong tooth. When I brought this to their attention they gave me a discount on the work they did on the wrong tooth and scheduled an appointment to extract the cracked tooth and produce an implant for $7,600. I am now looking for a new dentist to get the actual work done. read more

This review is specific to the office and this dental practice. I never went to the other locations. Came in for some dental work in 2022. Dr. Rosen is an excellent dentist. Jonathan is her assistant and he's great! The place is a shit show. I made a Follow up appointment 3/22/2023 at 5:30. Prior to making this appointment I asked if they were charging me because I just wanted a consult with Dr. Rosen to see what was the next work she thought I needed to do. I know I need two more crowns on my upper right and two more crowns on upper left. Also a new implant in the front and a new crown there as well. When booking the appointment the girl on the phone said we will not be charging for this appointment because you are an existing patient. I get there And waited 20 minutes. Some guy who can barely talk says he wants to take X-rays. I said no! I just had a cleaning at my NY dentist ( who I love! And his office is exceptional!!!) so the guy mumbled something. And wants to take X-rays of work that Dr. Rosen had already done. She had done 4 crowns for me. I said no. Dr. Rosen ( who is cool ) comes in and we talk. She said she needs X-rays from NY and the implant information for the implant we are removing to put a new one in. I got her email address and I left. On my way out, I confirm that I'm not going to be charged for this visit. The young lady at front desk said to me ...we are just going to bill your insurance company. So I said that is not what I was told when I booked this appointment. I was told that it was no charge since we would be discussing my dental plan. I told the lady at the front to have Dr. Rosen call me if she thinks that she needs to charge my insurance. Guess what!!! They billed my Delta Dental Insurance and I am furious! Don't lie to people! I called my son and he said that he had similar issues with this office! He said it's not the dentist but the people doing the billing that create the problem. He said he recommended several people to go here and they all had issues with the billing. His friend Ryan left and he also left the practice because of this. Shame on Lakeview Smiles because Dr. Rosen is a great dentist. I'll be going elsewhere for my 5 crowns and regular cleanings. The receptionist was very nice, it was easy to schedule an appointment, and my appointment ran on time when I got there. My hygienist was super friendly and it was a pleasant cleaning experience. Dr. Kim was nice as well. They helped glue down a broken wire on my permanent retainer. It was a good experience, but I was informed of multiple cavities when I have not had any in years and have good oral health. Besides one that had visible spot, the others were in between teeth, they did not make clear to me where. Before I even left the seat they had me signing a piece of paper for an insurance claim on all the fillings for a future appointment. I felt a lot of pressure and did not like that at all. I signed and scheduled the next appointment for the following week for all the fillings.. upon going home I changed my mind and ended up calling back to just have it be the one filling. They accommodated the request. Dr. Kim did my filling and it was a good. Overall, I felt the office probably upsells you into unnecessary treatment. This is my opinion. Then, on this particular visit (and I've had 2 other similar visits in the last few weeks), I've been seated 45 minutes and all I've had done is numbing. I've been going here for years and while telling a coworker how great it is here, I realized I should leave a review. I have had SO much dental work done before Lakeview Smiles. I'm talking a root canal, like 20 fillings - then those fillings were done wrong so I had to redo them with crowns ... I mean enough work to make someone hate going to the dentist. Dr. Lee fixed all of that. My biggest fear was the novocaine shot. She is FANTASTIC about it. I don't even feel it. Once that's done, do anything I don't even care. Everything she has ever done has been perfect; I've never had a problem. She also lets me know the suggested timeline when work should be done - she never pushes for ASAP. Extra perks: The hygienists are super nice - I enjoy talking with them every time; the office is really nice; they have all the latest tech (super high perk for things like crowns - so quick); and it's a fantastic location. Short of moving away beyond what I would consider to be a reasonable flight to come and get my preventative maintenance and major dental work done-----I'd still come here. I don't have anything to add other than the team here is professional, courteous, and really good at what they do. I've had the unfortunate need for lots of major work lately- and I know that traditionally my insurance doesn't cover all the costs. However, I pay for what I receive- and that is quality, friendly service. I have never had an issue that I needed to come back for...but IF that was the case I know that Dr. Lee would take care of me no questions asked. You need someone to care for you dental needs? Trust your instincts & AVOID the unnecessary procedures!!! Get a 2nd opinion! Also, read the other BAD 1star reviews bc there are too many people that got poor service at Lakeview Smiles. Every time I saw Dr Grace Lee, DDS she juggles between 3+ patients(poor treatment/consultation quality) & whenever I questioned her recommendations then she'll find an excuse (such as tells the assistant to take another X-ray or tells her assistant to ask the lab or other specialists why previous procedures aren't ok/botched) just so that to can exist the room to see another patient then to return with a better answer. She has NO respect for your time & seems to care mostly about making $off unnecessary procedures. Her hygienist are trained to give you a sales pitch each time they clean your teeth. Their comments are almost insulting "informing me that my prior treatment concerns aren't a priority or my priorities are wrong & i should focus on her recommendations"...one hygienist was pushing treatment plans like she was a dentist. Noticed how there are always new assistants in her office, probably bc they can't seem to tolerate the pressure to sell unnecessary treatments. Dr Lee is on the extreme side with cavities or replacing old fillings. A small dark spot on a tooth could be a stain but according to Dr Lee "ohhh no, our advanced camera tells us it's early cavity detection & you need to fix it ASAP so that it doesn't reach the nerve"....she will freak you out with her sales pitch! The 2nd opinion dentist confirmed that the dark spot is a stain & no need to drill on a healthy tooth/enamel. Or she'll first ask when I got that filling then will be quick to say that it's old & needs to be replaced...if it's not broke then why try fix it!!! Another line Dr Grace Lee would give me "I had the same problem with my teeth"...just so that she could sympathize with me but then I felt a bit insulted bc she thought that I couldn't tell that she has veneers and her enamel is not exposed/ wearing off like my teeth. Odd how dr Lee's treatment plan on one of my tooth changed to additional treatments, $ that my insurance won't cover.....more $$$$ for them!!! I swear it's like you open your mouth and all they see is money Lastly, notice that most of the 5 star reviews on here only rated Lakeview smiles and no other business....that alone should tell you that those are fake reviews. This place is a money making scam, do not use them! My husband and I went here for years and had many terrible experiences with them. Some of the doctors are helpful, and others will recommend unnecessary procedures to make money. - They will pressure you into filling "pre-cavities" that no other dentist would fill. This happened to both me and my husband many times. We declined, and upon returning at our next appointment, the "pre-cavity" teeth weren't even mentioned by a different doctor in the practice. - They will pressure you into letting them "replace old fillings," even when there is no sensitivity or issue, convincing you that technology today is better. - 5 years ago, instead of filling 4 cavities for me, they pressured me to get a "full mouth reconstruction" for over $3,500 after insurance. I asked them to just fill the cavities instead, for a fraction of the cost and time, and haven't had which should have been their recommendation in the first place. - They charge you $95 if you miss an appointment or need to reschedule in 24 hours. I understand their intention, but have never had a doctor charge such an excessive amount of money for a missed appointment. read more

tl;dr: Rosen is great dentist; her patient coordinator (that is, A.) & her office manager (that is, O.) are offensively incompetent & detract from patient experience. As a patient who needs twice yearly cleanings & (every few years) fillings, periodontal work, & cap replacements, I will not waste my time with non-clinical staff incapable of appointment scheduling & basic insurance reimbursement. The practice director Dr. Lee should retrain employees or hire people able to do the job. Fuller review: I am writing this review because of several recent incidents with one of the patient coordinators, A., & the office manager, O., with respect to scheduling my appointments. I was scheduled for a cleaning with Dr. Rosen on Sat Apr 15, 2023 at 10:00am CT. On the day of the appointment, I got an automated text message at 8:00am CT (2 hours prior) from Lakeview Smiles confirming. At 8:25am CT (25 minutes after the automated confirmation message), I received a phone call/voicemail from A. & at 8:28am CT (3 minutes later) she sent me a follow-up text. The text read as follows: "Hello Michael, this is A. from Lakeview Smiles. I just left you a voicemail. I wanted to make sure you were aware that todays [sic] appointment would be out of pocket due to insurance frequencies. Please let me know if you would like to still come in today, or we can reschedule it. Thank you!" I called A. back & she told me that my insurance required at least 6 months between cleanings to be covered. To recap, I received these communications from the office approx. 90 minutes before my appointment, which had been on the books for nearly 6 months. A. had not looked at any details of my appointment until 90 minutes prior. This was very frustrating, but it was what it was--A. rescheduled me for May 10, 2023 at 6:00pm CT. On Fri May 5, 2023, at 2:20pm CT, I received a phone call & voicemail, & at 2:27pm CT, a text from (guess who?) A. telling me that (guess what?) due to insurance frequency, my visit would be out of pocket. You will, I hope, excuse me for having felt a strong sense of déjà vu. I called the office. When the receptionist offered to connect me with A., I responded I wanted to speak only with A.'s supervisor or with Dr. Rosen, because I had no confidence in A.'s ability to schedule my appointment correctly. I was told by the receptionist that someone would call me back. At 3:17pm CT, I received a call back from O., the office manager. I asked O. why my appointment was mis-scheduled not once but twice. O. said, "I did not personally schedule this appointment." I stopped O., telling her that it does not matter that she did not personally schedule the appointment, she is responsible for the actions of her office. I asked her why Dr. Rosen did not call me, to which O. said that Dr. Rosen never calls patients (I found the use of "never" a little strong & probably untrue, but I was tired at this point). I had to ask O. when my last cleaning was. O. told me the date, & then I had to audit O.'s proposed date to ensure that it was correctly scheduled 6 months from my last appointment--so I did O.'s job for her. Patients have a lot of options, so patient coordinators, front office staff, & office manager should be additive to the doctors' delivery of care--i.e., they should make coordination seamless for the patient so that the doctor can focus on providing quality care. I am a patient with far above average dental needs--I've had maxillofacial & orthognathic surgeries, multiple implants, crowns, & caps. I am also a good patient who always takes my dentist's advice & pursues the treatment plan my dentist recommends, regardless of the out-of-pocket cost. I paid some $800 OOP back in Feb 2023, & Dr. Rosen was keeping tabs for another potential area in need of treatment that would probably be about that much in the future. Additionally, I need periodontal work every few years without fail, which I do whenever my dentist says it is time. If Dr. Rosen's staff cannot correctly accomplish the basic task of scheduling a 6-month cleaning, why should I have any confidence that the staff can correctly schedule my future appointments for fillings, implants, periodontal work, & other procedures? Given Dr. Rosen's staff's inability to schedule an appointment after multiple attempts & her staff's unwillingness to take responsibility for their mistakes, I will be seeking care elsewhere & have already had my dental records transferred to another dental practice. I realize that Dr. Rosen is not exposed to the patient scheduling & coordination process in her day-to-day work, so my hope is that this review gives both Drs. Rosen & Lee data points of patient coordination deficiencies in the staff. Dr. Rosen, I enjoyed the care I received from you & I thought you did a great job on my caps. They listen to all my concerns and answer any questions I have with educating me to better my dental care. This place commits fraud, like many dentists. I'm here to explain in great detail, why. I went in for a basic cleaning 4 years ago. I was told at this appointment that I had 7 cavities, and would need them all filled. Some of these cavities were "severe" and would require additional costs. All said and done, I paid nearly $1,000 for multiple appointments to get these done. Ultimately, nothing fishy, just sucks. Come last year - Lakeview Smiles told me that I had another further 5 cavities, along with a necessity for my wisdom teeth to be removed, as they had new cavities in them as well. This would require an additional "consultation", and then another appointment plus follow up, for thousands more dollars out of pocket even after insurance. I recently went to a new dentist, who took detailed x-rays of my mouth, and showed me, tooth by tooth, that I had ZERO cavities. He showed me that many of my previous fillings were very close to the root, and could be causing tooth pain - and could easily be mistaken as more cavities. Let's take this back a bit - when I was 10 years old, I moved to a new town - and at this time, had never had a cavity in my life. In the new town, I went to a new dentist, and after zero cavities total my life, this dentist told me that I had NINE (9) cavities. Me, as a small 10 year old, INSISTED to my parents that something was not right about these people, and ultimately went back to my old dentist an hours drive away. My original dentist confirmed, that I in fact had ZERO cavities. Now, as an adult, and having been shook down and attempted to be extorted by more than one dental practice, I will tell everyone I know to never go to this place! There is zero reason for a doctor to avoid transparency - and any doctors that act like they can't share any info with you or make you think something is horribly wrong out of nowhere, think twice!! The cost of a second opinion could save you a lifetime of painful false fillings, or worse. read more

Just left here and can confirm this is the worst place ever. Dr. Lee was extremely rude and gave critical information with very little explanation. I thought she was a better dentist than this as after an absolutely terrible experience with Dr. Rosen she offered to see me free of charge, but then today when I saw her it was awful. The only reason I'm giving two stars is because the hygienists are personable and nice, however, both the hygienists and doctors are EXTREMELY aggressive and sales oriented. Dr. Lee makes aggressive diagnoses to scare patients into expensive procedures to build her business and buy fancy technology to impress patience and hide her deficiencies. It's clear she cares more about how she appears to clients than making objective, professional diagnoses. My first appt with Dr. Lee, she informed me that my gums are receding (they aren't) but I dismissed my bad gut feelings and kept going. Over the years, I had two silver fillings replaced with crowns, neither of which were bothering me, but she insisted they couldn't do new fillings and needed to be replaced with crowns. One of the crowns I ended up needing a root canal on and I've also had multiple additional fillings done by Dr. Lee. I finally got fed up my last two cleanings. The second to last, Dr. Lee recommended two more crowns- one because there was a small "chip" and "it will just keep breaking". For the one tooth, I told her I would rather replace the filling and only do a crown if it continues to chip. Since since I was in the middle of Invisalign, I decided to wait to replace the filling and new crown. My very last cleaning as I was wrapping up Invisalign, Dr. Rosen added in that I needed another crown making it three new crowns. I didn't want to feel pressured to get the work done just because I was ready for my final Invisalign retainer so I opted to get a second opinion. The new dentist advised against all three new crowns that Dr. Lee and Dr. Rosen recommended. He said there is no inflammation, irritation, infection, bleeding, nothing to indicate I need work done. I cancelled the appointment for the crowns, received my final retainer from Lakeview Smiles this summer and bolted out that door. I just had my first cleaning with the practice that did the second opinion and saw different dentist than from that first appt. When she asked why I had come to them for the second opinion, she looked at my x-rays and legitimately GASPED at the recommendations by Dr. Lee and Dr. Rosen. There is nothing better than your original tooth and every time you drill them, you cause trauma and damage to the tooth. I genuinely question every single filling I've had at Lakeview Smiles and the two crowns to replace the old silver fillings. The only good procedure I had done there was Invisalign but all they do is scan your teeth and send it to Invisalign to create the trays- something any dentist does now. I could also go into how the receptionists hide behind emails and text messages refusing to pick up the phone but this is already getting long. Please just save yourself the time, money, and exhaustion and go somewhere else. read more

Would not recommend. I came for my six month cleaning coming from the same dentist I've had since I was 6. They told me I had 6 cavities (I had no pain or prior knowledge of any forming) and needed work on all of them. I was a little skeptical and went to another office for a second opinion. Sure enough, the new dentist disagreed with Lakeview Smiles' findings. The hygienist was also very rough, and I was very sore after my cleaning, which has never happened to me. They also told me I need to ditch my toothbrush for an electric one. They recommended one that was $200. The dentist was short and not thorough in her examination. Basically said I had cavities and to come back the next day to fix them. If she would have taken more time to explain her reasonings and findings I probably would have stuck around. I came here for the first time, looking for a new dentist in late December. I was upfront about the fact that I hadn't been to the dentist in a couple of years, but that I'm an everyday floss-er and follow up with anti-cavity mouthwash. My hygienist said that just looking at them, my teeth looked amazing, she wouldn't have believed that I hadn't gotten a cleaning in years. But then she followed that up with saying that the X-Rays showed NINE cavities! I've only had about 3 cavities in my life, all due to broken sealant, so this was a BIG surprise. They said that all the cavities were in between my teeth, and they'd recommend filling all nine (there were maybe six on the bottom that they deemed unnecessary to fill at this time). I had absolutely no pain and was shocked at this. They pushed me to get my first filling appointment done that day, which I reluctantly agreed to. When I came back for my fillings, I was brought to a dental suite and then sat there (with no updates or interactions from the dentist or hygienist) for 35 minutes. When they started in on my fillings, Dr. Lee and the hygienist were having a totally separate work-related discussion about some models or something, over my head, and the hygienist kept leaving and coming back, even sending in a different hygienist for a while, with no explanation as I laid there with my mouth open. When I checked out, they had me pay and then set me up for my second filling appointment. But upon reviewing the bill, I found the reason why my copay was so high was because they were doing two fillings on two teeth, and my policy only covers 1 filling per tooth at 80% per visit. This cost me hundreds extra in my copay. I felt duped because when the doctor, hygienist and front desk had said I'd had cavities, they hadn't said where exactly the cavities were, how many were on each tooth, what the financial difference would be in getting certain ones filled, etc. And THEN I thought back to when they'd been examining my teeth and how they'd said these cavities had almost reached the dentin. They made that sound DIRE. But I realized after a bit of research that what they were seeing (cavities in the enamel but NOT in the dentin) is called an incipient carious lesion, or a microcavity! Microcavities can self-correct with fluoride treatment! Something that the practice decided NOT to give me at my appointment, despite not going to a dentist for 2 years. And by deciding to drill instead of "watchfully waiting" could mean I need to get these fillings redone again and again down the road! I'm reporting this practice to my insurance carrier and will not be coming back again, they've already charged me a small dental fortune and may have damaged my teeth by doing unnecessary drilling. First, I am from NY and did not have a dentist here in Chicago for two years until my front tooth started hurting. I went to a different dentist prior to seeing Dr. Lee and found out my two front teeth needed to be pulled. Well, I needed a better dentist then the one I saw! I was recommended to see Dr. Lee by my boyfriend and I am so glad I did! My front teeth were knocked out about 10 years ago from soccer. The two caps in the front had their course and what was left from my trauma was infected. Dr. Lee had to remove everything that was left and put in my permanent caps. Dr. Lee's bedside manor and her staff were extraordinary. I felt safe and in good hands. I got my teeth pulled from a specialist that works out of dr. Lee's office. It was convenient and quick! I had no issues with my care. While i was healing Dr. Lee had to get me a flipper to wear in the front. While not ideal, the flipper looked great and it was comfortable. I finally got my permanent teeth and they look great! So natural. Dr. Lee is a perfectionist and it was relief that she is! I recommend Lakeview Smiles to everyone. I've been coming to Lakeview Smiles for a few years now. I started coming here when I lived on the corner of Belmont and Clark, but now I've moved a bit a ways and I'll still make the trip over. The staff here are wonderful. I love the new hygienist, I believe her name is Lisa. They really take their time with each patient and care about each and every concern I have. Donata is the best when it comes to my Invisalign appointments. She has helped me so much when I come in with issues regarding my trays...which is a lot. I used to hate the dentists as a kid and took a few years off going once I moved to Chicago. Contacting Lakeview Smiles I had a very good experience. They responded to my appointment request quickly and were able to verify over the phone that they took my insurance. The office was very clean and well lit making me feel comfortable right away. The staff was kind and friendly and my hygienist took comprehensive xrays and photos of my teeth. She even explained why she was taking so many which was great to understand. She then gave me a quick but thorough cleaning and Dr. Lee saw me as well. I've had trouble with flossing ever since I was child. It is a sensory thing and it has always really bothered me. Dr. Lee and my hygienist listened to me and didn't judge me or make me feel bad. Dr. Lee was able to suggest and give me a coupon for an alternative kind of floss that she thinks will help me be able to floss more regularly. They were also able to answer all my questions and give me really helpful tips. I am so glad I gave them a try! I actually am looking forward to my next visit so I can let them know how well I am doing. read more

Man.. after being a patient here for over 3 years, I show up for a scheduled appointment only to be told that they canceled it without letting me know. Why am I not surprised? I have had issues with this office before, most notably trying to bill me for things that have already been fully paid for by my insurance. So sneaky!! Will not be returning. read more
