This bright, homey and welcoming Mexican-American neighborhood spot smack in the epicenter of the mind-blowing multicultural culinary Mecca of Jackson heights channels the soul of an classic diner with it's expansive and wide ranging menu covering all 3 meals of the day, with both traditional Mexican classics as well as some Americanized adaptations like eggs Benedict and biscuits and gravy. Pricing is gentle overall, and nifty daily specials offer great values, particularly the taco Tuesday which offers the chance to mix and mach each of the taco options a la carte as opposed to 3 to an order normally. All options are very solid and served on locally beloved (despite its relocation from nearby Corona to NJ several years ago) Taqueria Nixtamal tortillas. Of particular note are the house specialty of perfectly fried fish tacos, surely among the better versions I've sampled in NYC, if just shy of the ones served by my beloved Tacoway Beach (fka Rockaway Taco). The places real secret weapon is it's bar however as not only do they bartenders have a deft hand with the assorted Margaritas and other Mexican cocktails on offer (also discounted at happy hours and for various daily specials) but the place has one of the more impressive selections of tequilas and mezcals I've seen around town including at much more high-falutin and pricy establishments, in spite of it's supremely low key and casual atmosphere. Another great win for the neighborhood and further proof that no pound for pound overall greater locale for delicious, diverse, affordable eats may exist anywhere on the planet.

Ate here today for dinner by myself after work as a paraprofessional at P.S. 12 Q. I had brought the habanero enchiladas and churros that it tasted really good and delicious. Many thanks to my server named Omar to get my orders right and had a very respectful manner towards me while I eat my meal. I couldn't agree more about it. Finally, I would definitely eat and come back again next time! :)

Great food! I loved the Buffalo Wings. They tasted great and had a nice kick to them if you're looking for something spicy. The nachos and chicken tacos were delicious too! We had the "Dos amigos" drink and it was strong and tasted great with the hint of mint. Our servers were warm and very attentive. At night, it plays Spanish music and sporting games are played by the bar. Great place to grab drinks at or, sit down for good Mexican food.

Dinner with the fam at Laly's felt like bumping into an old friend who gives killer margaritas, especially that smoky al pastor stunner Ambience was cool Latino vibes, upbeat but cozy enough you don't need earplugs Tacos and daily specials hit every note, comfort food mixed with chef swagger Service was top tier, friendly without turning into your long lost cousin Left full, happy, and low key wondering how quickly I could score a carry out margarita!

First time there looking for calamari, tried their calamari and nachos both were delicious will definitely be back to try other dishes! Their hot sauce is fire (love)

Looking for authentic Mexican in queens???? Hop over to Laly's and get ready to be transported to south of the border. Sitting on the corner with large windows to people watch this ample tabled eatery is a must visit. The menu makes it pretty hard to choose what to eat when everything sounds so good. If you drink there's also an extensive drink menu. The staff was friendly and very efficient taking orders and quickly bringing out your items. You must order the guacamole with the sea salted chips, it's perfectly seasoned. Fish tacos on deck are a hefty portion and a lovely complex flavor to the fish. Ordered a salad made with arugula, apples, cranberries and cheese (select whatever topping you would like.....I chose chicken) the chicken was clearly grilled and spiced nicely. Can't wait to go back.

Came across this spot while searching for taco options. Laly's is a great spot full of variety and flavor. The menu strikes more like Mexican inspired diner, tons of breakfast and main meal options with Mexican inspired flavors and flair. We had the cheese flautas which were incredibly flavored and garnished as well as birria tostones. The cemita burger was an excellent touch. Combining the traditional flavors and ingredients of a cemita sandwich with a great hand formed burger patty was an excellent touch. Agua fresca michelada is a menu item I've never and was full of great flavor. Excellent, fast, helpful servers rounded out a really great lunch experience. Will definitely be back to try out more interesting menu items.

I came here with friends for brunch. I ordered the breakfast enchiladas and my friends got the salmon Benedict, churros pancakes, and an omelette. We all got coffee, which wasn't the best nor was it the worst. The wait service was good; the wait staff checked on us a handful of times for coffee and water refills, though food service was a bit slow. But we were in no rush, so all was good.

The food was absolutely amazing. The sauce for the tomatillo was delicious. It was mild and flavorful. The shrimp enchiladas were delicious. The habanero sauce had a lightly spicy flavor and it was absolutely amazing. The staff is extremely friendly and we were also serenaded by a guitar player. The ambience in the restaurant was traditional,Mexican with colorful pictures on the wall. Tres Leche cake was very sweet and decadent . It was absolutely delicious.

I wanted to venture beyond my usual neighborhood of LIC, so I decided to explore brunch options in Jackson Heights. Laly's menu caught my attention when I saw the paloma spritz. I couldn't resist the temptation and knew I had to give it a try. Additionally, they offered a variety of savory vegetarian brunch options which intrigued me. Upon arriving, I found the place to be charming with a local atmosphere. It had a spacious and clean interior, although it didn't particularly focus on aesthetics. Since it was Mother's Day, they were even handing out roses to all the mothers, which I thought was cute. As for the food and drinks, the paloma spritz exceeded my expectations. It was perfectly balanced and incredibly refreshing. For my main course, I opted for the vegetarian breakfast enchiladas. They were delicious and left and very filling. I was initially concerned about the habanero sauce as I'm not a fan of spicy food, but the waiter reassured me that the habanero was just one of several ingredients and that the crema would help tame the heat. He was absolutely right! The service was prompt, and the overall atmosphere was laid-back. Prices were reasonable, food was good, and many options for bottomless drinks.

All their locations have pretty good ratings so I can't really go wrong. Came around 11am on a weekend and it was busy but there were tables available. The tables are arranged pretty strategically to fit as many as possible, which isn't the best for comfort. The service is nice here. The menu is in Spanish but they do have an English menu if you scan a QR code. I ordered the craken taco, costra taco, verde aguachile mixtos, a half dozen grilled shrimps, a la exotica, and guac with fried octopus. Everything was delicious! This place did not disappoint. Although, next time I'd probably skip the Craken taco and verde aguachile even though these two are a top recommendation. My favorite dish was probably the grilled shrimp. The way they grill it really brings out the sweetness and flavor of the shrimp. I personally enjoyed the la exotica more than the aguachile. The guac was also really good and the fried octopus was a good addition. I will definitely go to their other locations. This is a must try for seafood lovers.

Our server was extremely friendly and helpful, and she was happy to answer all of our questions about the menu. The fish was fresh, and the ceviche was solid, although there was no wow factor. The standout for me was the Molcajete Norteño, the fried octopus with guacamole, which was delicious. The most annoying part of the experience was when a kid came in and turned the music up extremely loud, then started singing a solo and going around asking everyone for tips afterward. We gave him $3 for his effort, but honestly, it was more loud and annoying than entertaining. I'm not even sure if he worked there or was just someone who came in off the street. Overall, the food was solid and the service was friendly, but I'm not exactly counting down the days until my next visit.

My only complaint for the esquite was that it had a little too much water and mayo but other than that, the corn was sweet and all the seasoning was perfect and hit the spot! The main reason why this is one of my go to places now though is because of the smoothies. I haven't been too often just yet but the smoothies that I have tried from then so far have been absolutely perfect. I am just glad that I found this spot as the weather is getting warmer because I know I will be craving smoothies more often. The place is quite small and it was quite dim when I went in.
