Went to lamacchia for an oil change , inspection and recall on fuel tank back in May . I have a 2019 Honda CR-V . After 28,000 miles I was told that the tires on my brand new Honda CRV that they don't put good tires on and I needed to have them replaced UGH! I said what? It's only 2 years old ! I then was told that the tires that they put on a new CRV are thin rubber not good for winters and roads are you kidding me??? I had a Rav 4 Toyota and kept it for five years and never had a problem with the tires. I buy a brand new Honda CRV $30,000 and within two years 28,000 miles on it and I have to replace tires???? I wrote this to the corporation and never heard a word back from them. So I'm writing this in a review to be aware . I was told that I needed to have my tires replaced before my car could pass inspection . Hard to believe a brand new car needed new brakes after 28,000 miles very disappointed. Beware when you buy a Honda or any car and ask about the tires. Actually that will be my first question next time if there is a next time. I probably will be going back to a RAV4. Customer service hit or miss. Service is pretty slow. The guy gave me a hard time when I told him I'd change my own wipers because they were going to charge $30. He said "come on man, that's only $15 per wiper." I may not be a car guy, but don't treat me like an idiot when I can buy and change my own wipers for way less. I was quoted $800 for two control arm bushings and one bearing. I shopped around and got two FULL control arms, 2 ball joints, two front bearings, one FR axel, plus labor for $600. Wow. One employee told my wife on the phone that all Hondas get free inspection and she even clarified that it's an older 2003 that we did not purchase there. In the store, manager said otherwise and was a jerk to my wife when she talked to him about it. Not going back. read more

I used to have a Honda Fit that I brought to Lamacchia and they were excellent. They were always very nice and professional. I never felt like I was being swindled and they did a good job of explaining things to me, even though I know little to nothing about cars, but didn't want to be treated like an ignorant owner (or a dumb female, for that matter). I moved out of the area a couple of years ago, selling my car I had then, but I just bought another used Honda Fit. I was bringing the car home and immediately recognized anissue that I had with my last car- an issue that was difficult to diagnose until I brought the car to Lamacchia. I tried looking through my service receipts and apparently didn't save the one receipt I needed that explained what I had done to repair the item then. I called the service department and explained my situation. They were incredibly helpful. Thankfully they still had the record from three years ago on-file and explained what they had done. I told the service department staff member that I didn't live in the area anymore (otherwise I would have brought my car there to have it fixed again), but he still took the time to fully explain what had happened, how to resolve the issue, what I needed to tell the service department of where I do take the car, and a rough estimation of what it might run me. To me, this was the true measure of the quality of their service department- care for their customers. I highly recommend them and only wish I could take my new car there for repairs! read more

Bought my first Honda from Lamacchia back in 1986. Came back to town driving a 2003 Accord I bought in SC. At 183,000 miles decided to evaluate all of the local Honda dealerships before buying a new car. After a lot of internet research and lot visits, ended up buying a 2019 Civic LX from Dane at Lamacchia. It cost less than the 2003, gets 50% better gas mileage, and has all of the new safety bells and whistles. Dane and Lamacchia made it a great experience. read more

Had a 4 PM appointment for an oil change and car check up. I was greeted at the door and taken to the check in area. The attendant filled out the paperwork in a few minutes and showed me to a very clean lounge. 35 minutes later my job was complete and I was checked out. I was very pleased with my service. My appointment was a referral from another satisfied customer. It's good to have a dealership that delivers what they advertise, unlike the service that I had at another dealership. I realize that there are times that a service department can get backed up but the way they treat the customer should always be professional. read more

After buying 4 cars from them and my family buying several cars from them I'm shock on how Mr. Lamacchia's son treated me. I scheduled an appointment for a car inspection and oil change and when I got there he said he was not going to put his dog away for me. That his dog is part of his company and if I didn't feel comfortable with his dog that I can leave. So I waited a whole week to inspect my car and to not get the service is very disappointing. I can't believe that he was incentive to my fear of dogs. Customers should be treated better than that. Now I have to wait another week and get my service done by another Honda dealer. I had to go to Honda City to get my service done. I will never buy a car from Lamacchia. read more

Came in looking for a new Ridgeline, no one around. I walked around the showroom and what appeared to be a manger was degrading and swearing at an employee about my age! It looked like it was the general manager from the staff page. Disgusted by this I walked out and looked around the lot. The lot was full of litter, the inside of the dealership although look new had a bad, depressing vibe. Probably because their boss walks around and doesn't say hi to them or the customers there, which there was not a soul in the building which was red flag number one. Informed my neighbor about this and he recommended Honda city, also heard there is a Honda store in the Fayetteville- Manlius area I might check out. My local Honda store in Auburn does not have much of a Ridgeline supply. Don't waste the drive here, looks like people have moved in from this store. I'm surprised they are in business. Anyone with dignity shouldn't shop here or want to be know to service here. I would be embarrassed if I was Honda. read more

The purchase experience was excellent, the sales person event drove the car 50 miles to meet us to complete the sale. However, service after the sale, not so good. If you need to use their shuttle service DONT'T. They only drop you off, they wont come back and get you. They went so far as to ask me to get a coworker to bring me back for my car. What use is a shuttle service that drops you off but wont pick you up? On top of that they make only three runs, 7:45 to downtown Syracuse and 8:15 and 9:00 to other stops. BTW, Syracuse University isn't considered downtown. At my last visit they made a gentleman wait for the 8:15 shuttle, even though I was the only one on the 7:45 downtown run and my office is 1,000 feet from SU. Add to this a snotty shuttle driver and I'd rather go to another Honda dealer and pay more and be treated a little nicer. It isn't worth saving $15.00 for the hassle and rudeness. Service after the sale is what makes you come back, not just price. read more

This isn't much to go on, but I went there for a safety inspection of my new CR-V (bought elsewhere) and got in & out on time and with basic courtesy and professionalism. That already makes them better than the average service shop in my experience. read more

Wish I could rate them 0 stars... Husband took our vehicle there for diagnostics. He specifically asked if there would be a charge, was told no because our vehicle was still under warranty so diagnostics were free. When he picked up the vehicle they explained that they didn't run a full diagnostics because when they put it on the lift they discovered the tires had low tread. Then they told him he owed $60 for the diagnosis because the tires weren't covered under the warranty. He argued about paying and even spoke to a manager. The manager told him they had to recuperate their costs and had no way of waving the fee because my husband didn't buy the vehicle there and was not already established customer. What a terrible way to build a customer base. Lamacchia Honda clearly operates through lies and deceit and has no intention of honoring the guarantees or word of their staff. Will NEVER do any business with this lying, deceitful, dishonest business ever again! read more

Had Honda Oddysey served cooling system. Next day after the visit my "Air bag indicator" went off. I suspected that somebody helped that. Took it to another garage they confimed that somebody snapped the connector. Stay away from Lamacchia - save money. I noticed that the very not were very busy. I heard from other customers that Lamachhia cheats their customers very well creating problems while "fixing" your car. It is such a disgrace for Honda. Stay away from Lamacchia - go with HOnda City or independents - if it is not broke they will not "fix" it. read more
