Tacos $2 each when parked at Raven Tower
    Jeremy T.

During my brief visit to the Raven Tower, I got hungry and stopped at the La Macro food truck. They are there pretty regularly, along with operating their restaurant on Washington which I haven't visited yet. The menu was limited and offered just a few basic items: tacos, quesadillas, tortas and a hamburger. They have three meats: beef, chicken and trompo. The guy at the counter indicated that trompo (seasoned pork) was their speciality. On my order, I chose 3 tacos, 2 with trompo and 1 with beef. My favorite was actually the beef, since it was different than the average beef / fajita taco at taco trucks. I thought the trompo was good, but just greasy. I'm not sure it's the best trompo in town since I've had several, but it's good. My favorite was the addicting green sauce, which was the spicier one.

yummy food truck that we found outside of a bar called drift! Short line, big selection of food. Really tasty stuff here, definitely support these guys if you can!

Definitely the best tacos al pastor that I've ever had! The meat is tender and deliciously marinated. We'll be going back often and are already telling everyone we know that we've found our new favorite tacos. We also met the owner and he was super kind and attentive. I took some tacos to go and they were still warm :)

This was the only food truck at raven tower when I went, I ordered the mini tacos which came in a set of 5 for $8. I ordered both the beef and pork which were both very tasty, will probably revisit if the chance allows.

Delicious, authentic tacos for a good price. They have lots of lounge seating and park tables. A yummy midnight snack.

Parked in the courtyard of the Raven Tower bar this taco truck was much needed after a night of throwing back shots. The staff was nice and told us to go back to the bar and they come find us when our food is ready. If you didn't mind waiting they had a nice playlist playing in the background that you could dance to while you waited. I ordered the beef fajitas tacos, which you can get 5 for $8. The fajita meat was mediocre and the tacos are made with corn tortillas. My friend order the quesadillas and tacos and said the quesadillas were better. But the Salsa Verde (green salsa) was amazing and spicy. It truly boosted the flavor of the tacos.

We pulled up to this food truck and, while placing our order, I instantly had the feeling that this crew knew exactly what they were doing. The tacos were fresh, flavorful, and packed with the kind of simple, honest ingredients that make great breakfast tacos so satisfying. No gimmicks, no unnecessary fuss -- just well-executed food that delivers exactly what you're hoping for. The service was efficient, the operation ran smoothly, and it was easy to see why there was a steady stream of customers. Overall, an excellent breakfast taco stop and exactly the kind of local experience I look for when I'm in Houston. Saluti.

Alert: Cash Only…read more I've passed this taco truck countless times and almost always seen a line stretching from the window. There's even a security guard on site, which only adds to the impression that this place is fire. So when I happened to drive by on a 100-degree afternoon and found no line, I took it as a sign to finally give it a try. The small parking lot adjacent to the truck was nearly empty, except for a few other patrons who probably had the same idea. Ordering was simple and to the point. The menu keeps things straightforward: a selection of meats served as tacos or plates with a handful of sides. I ordered two barbacoa tacos with salsa verde. Less than two minutes after placing my order, they were in my hands. Fast service on a scorching day is always appreciated. With no seating available, I retreated to the comfort of my car to eat. Based on the amount of grease packed into these tacos, I would recommend doing the same. Eating them while standing could end with your shirt becoming an unintended side dish. One thing to note: don't count on a generous napkin supply. I realized after returning to my car that none were included. Consider keeping a few emergency fast-food napkins in your glove compartment. Those leftover Taco Bell napkins may finally fulfill their destiny. The barbacoa was flavorful, the salsa verde complemented it well, and overall, the tacos were overall tasty. That said, I left somewhat underwhelmed considering the crowds I routinely see gathered here during lunch and dinner hours. Perhaps I'm missing the standout item that keeps customers lining up daily. Even so, if you happen to have cash in your pocket and find yourself craving authentic tacos, this truck is certainly worth a stop.

The individual taking orders seemed to have a bit of an attitude and just seemed "over it." Furthermore, we mentioned having a queso coupon and when we were given the total I placed my card on the reader and I was told that I did it too fast and the queso wasn't taken off.
